Funny to see all the comments about greed etc yet our entire civilization is built around that very ideology. Everything we do every single day is based on greed and destruction. Recognize we are no different then any of the conquistadors just we dress differently.

I noticed this too, the world's biggest holders of gold did this, they brainwashed over the centuries, they own the books, news stations, media, they give gold a bad name to convince their pleebs to turn it in to them ,and find it evil and worthless, Take that same hater to a stream ,they play in a river and find their first $ 1000 nugget, watch their light switch then, unless their a simple minded fool

My passion have started after islam conversion because before I was really stupid its not about following new faith that kinda gone besides few lessions from Islam.... but a gold lesson 101 according to Islam changed my life and perception about silver and gold and finances... Besides that . . . I think I am a lost soul of Kerala village because when I see indian jewerly I am about to faint, coz of its beautifull .... .and the gold souq in Dubai was the best thing I ever seen. . . . . .I just want to owe all what is there

I look at those children born to the miners in that little south-american gold mine where people desperately cling to survival while ruining their bodies with damaging labor and toxic chemicals and wonder how the parents of those children feel, bringing next generations to the world, condemning them to the same misery and hopelessness. This is nothing but selfish, thoughtless cruelty. If I was a child born there, I'd hate my parents for this.

You can travel all south America and see what the Spanish did there (hospitals/universities/palaces/churches)... And compare it to other empires... You can see that most of citizens of america are pure mixture of 'something' because they were not exterminated as in other places north. Whatever the black legend written by the pirates, the truth is above the ignorants. Go and check which country made the first vaccination overseas and which country created human rights standards...

Gold and Silver have their problems, but I'd say that it certainly has more benefit than a paper FIAT currency based system, that is prone to corruption and manipulation far easier than a Gold Standard. Such is the case for the USA, and the result of people being CONNED by the Central Banking Cartel based on PAPER FRACTIONAL RESERVE CURRENCY. Other Precious metals can always be added to the mix in addition to Gold in the National Vaults as a solid base.

Have to mention this: there is absolutely ZERO evidence Christopher Columbus was from Genoa. All available evidence points toward him being Portuguese - e.g. him refusing to tell his Children where he was from, and the names of a lot (if not all) the islands he named in the Caribbean are Portuguese names (where it is believed his hometown is Cuba, Portugal - where there is still a statue honouring him as being from there originally!)
Also, he was most likely a spy for the Portuguese Empire against the Spanish Empire ("Castile") - as he seems to have helped the Portuguese get the original dividing line, ~100 leagues West of the Cape Verde Islands, of the Treaty of Tordesillas (initially in 1494 by Pope Alexander VI) moved further West (by Pope Julius in 1506) to ~370 leagues West of the Cape Verde Islands (to ~46°30′ W), helping the Portuguese Empire secure Brazil (apparently it was already known that gold was there), as the Portuguese would have dominion over everything East, and the Spanish Empire would have dominion over everything West, of said line, that was not already occupied by Christians.

You couldn’t be more wrong about the importance of gold to the ancient and modern empires of west Africa which were built solely on trade of gold. Give Africa its due credit and visit the land to learn of our history instead of publishing conjectures in your ill informed documentary. Learn about the Old Ghana, Mali and Songhai empires. Learn about the Ashanti empire. All built on the exploits of gold. Gold as an entity is the most important element known to west Africans other than Spirituality.
