  • Maybe you've had this issue before, may be not. If you've have you know how frustrating it is to come out to a dead battery on your new Jeep JL. The issue is that the new model Jeeps have two or even more batteries on board. You have the main large starting battery and a smaller auxiliary battery underneath. This smaller auxiliary battery sucks the power from the main battery leaving it dead after sitting for two long! Then if you're like me and have multiple 12v accessories running while the engine is not running it makes the matter even worse. Enter Cascadia 4x4 with their vehicle specific solar panels to continually charge and top off your batteries. I first met these guys at Overland Expo 2022 where I got to check out their stuff first hand and I was very impressed by the build qualify of their products and it seemed like the perfect solution to my problem. So far everything is working great, and as advertised. I'll keep you guys updated in the future but so far Im really enjoying it.

    Great video !
I saw those 3 connection battery terminals you have and went online and ordered them. I had to steal your idea. That's sweet for winch and lights hookup. 👍🙏

Another great “how to” video! Reach out sometime if you need a hand, I live on the north side of town. My buddy owns the liquor establishment just on the other side of the road from you!

Looks good and I hope it works great for you. Seeing this kinda makes me wonder about mounting one on the roof of my dually for that lil extra to help out with the batteries that run the truck, winches and extra diesel fuel pump

@@CodeBrownProductions the one I’m thinking about is from HarborFreight and is a 100 watt but it looks like that one

I see the trailer in the back ground. Decided to keep it?

Does it just keep the battery topped off at 100%? Could be used on main (single) starter battery?

Yes it does. I still have the aux battery installed and with the solar panel installed it keeps the main battery topped off it I don't drive the Jeep for a few days.

Please let us know when you're certain whether or not this solves the problem you were after, e.g. under conditions that would normally have left you with a dead battery, is it no longer dead? Also, could you use the auxiliary wires on the MPPT controller to help keep a Bluetti / Jackery-type solar power generator topped off as well via their 12V input? That may be the better (safer) way to power a fridge.

😲. I wonder if, or how much easier this would be to do, if the hood was off, and stood upright. Hmm? 🤔
