Hey there Tyler I just wanted to let you know that when u went to test the motor on the first light that made them unaligned meaning the other headlight isn't even with the first headlight. Just make sure you adjust both headlights all the way down for a few seconds till both motors stop that way It will put both motors in the same position then re adjust
Hey, one thing I want to point out is that yellow lights penetrate much better through fog. White might look cool and that's why every manufacturer is using them, but yellow ones are objectively better (around 5000K is a good middle ground tho)
Pretty sad how even Toyota has succumbed to this nonsense now. Removing the intake manifold to replace the starter was bad enough, and you only have to do that every 20 years (or closer to 10 or 15 with my luck).
As an Audi owner the first thing I thought watching this was how easy it was to take the grill off 😂I had to take off the belly pan and entire front bumper to take my grill off. My washer fluid sensor went bad and to replace that I needed to take off my wheel fender liner, and front quarter panel to get to the reservoir. Even then it is such a tight space you have to feel for the bolts and connections with your hand
You're using your 10mm socket wrong... it's still on the ratchet. You're supposed to knock it off somehow, drop the socket into the engine bay, have it not fall all the way to the ground, and have it be lost forever. That's the proper way. Lol
@@reaperjuggie1746or fall in the engine bay without coming out and getting underneath and moving you’re hand around and still never finding or feeling it 😂 it’s harder to find a 10 mil then a girls bean I swear a lost 10 mil is a unicorn I swear you’ll never see it
i like the led lights! wasn't that bad of an install either. I'm glad you went and got a proper LED kit vs just swapping the halogen light bulbs out for LED. That said ngl those led lights on a truck blind tf out of me especially when they are behind you so im a little upset at you lol, but hey i don't blame you i love my LED's in my car as well.
I remember upgrading to led a while back, over all great except for lack of heat to melt ice/snow in winter and a power draw issue. Although I will say, I thought installing lights on all cars was just a plug and play type deal. Sucks you have to disassemble cars now to do something so simple.
I had a 86 Mazda B2000, sealed headlights, you had to remove at least a dozen screws to take the grill off, in order the change the lens. That was back before headlights had removable bulbs. 🤣After about the 3rd time, I swapped them out for a Bosch headlight lens with a removable halogen bulb.
Try replacing any of the taillight bulbs on a 2013 or 2016 Elantra. You have to unbolt the whole taillight assembly and pull it out to replace any of the bulbs. To replace any bulb in the driver side head light you have to unbolt and pull out the whole assembly because the fuse box blocks access to the bulbs.
I can’t imagine Tyler working on a German vehicle. On my bmw. I gotta remove both front wheels, both front fender liners, remove the bumper and then I can get the headlights out.
You should get a lightramp aswell for ur highbeams, looks really good on the roof on trucks aswell. and the highbeams will be insane! bought a very wide one for my lancer in the front, its just amazing (and looks good too)
The reason a lot of car manufacturers stop using LED headlights is because they found out that the LED white light was blinding other drivers on the road which made them go back to halogen. I also think there was some DOT or NHTSA thing that might of made it illegal or a no no for them too.
U can change the bulb to a different color tone to besides led remove the bulb get the same type in terms of the number or whatever but look for a white light one
I been working 12 hour shifts at work and I'm kind of over it because I'm driving an hour each way, both in the dark, and I'm constantly being blinded by LED lights, even factory ones. Glad you're being considerate in not blinding other people Tyler.
One thing I’ve learned from working on Toyotas they love using long bolts for unnecessary things like why do I need a long ahh bolt for a headlight bracket
I kind of wish LED headlights were banned. They are so blinding as their low beams are brighter than halogen high beams. I live in PA and there are nonstop rolling hilly roads and the LED headlights of modern cars are at that angle on these hills where it actually hurts your eyes and blinds you unless you look away. What's the point of seeing better but blinding others? The trucks are the worst ones to have LED's because they are up higher and the LED is right into your eye line of sight, blinding you from behind or oncoming. Such a hassle driving home from work at night.
the only thing about led that i hate. when u pass other people on the road with led when they are coming towards you, u cant see nothing because they blind you
Looking at the old one (0:30) vs the new one (15:06) there isnt much difference in the area that's illuminated. There's a difference in intensity and color temperature though. You can see further up the tree thats close on the left with the older ones as well. While you can see further on the right with the new ones, you can see further on the left with the old ones. So if I had to guess you need to aim your headlights or you moved your truck. So congrats you're now blinding everyone who's in front of you and you cant see as well either. These LED headlights need to be banned.
I really don't see the point of led turn signals. It just adds unnecessary complications with the relay thing. Also over had a truck for 11yrs and never have replaced a turn signal bulb lol
I am thinking about modifying the lighting on my Ranger. There are a few things I want to iron out first. Some dents and the 6 month old clutch that is slipping. My luck with clutches is terrible. Don’t buy from Clutch Masters
I freakin despise those obscenely bright lights. In a truck of that height it hits people in lower cars mirrors such that they are blinded. You are putting people in danger. They should be illegal!

In most circumstances, your headlights are more for other drivers than you. Amateur installations of aftermarket LED headlights are usually too bright and angled so they blind other drivers. Most roads traveled by people in the US *are* lighted. I did not say all, nor did I say that their function is *only* for other drivers. Good lights are important for drivers, and high beams exist for a reason. And none of this justifies poorly tuned excessively bright LEDs.

It will be curious to see the beam pattern on the road. Aftermarket headlights have notoriously bad beam patterns.
Most of them aren’t aimed. He’d have to point it to his garage and know how to aim them.
