That tiny shovel or "E-Tool" as it's known in the military comes in very handy. I'm not sure about that particular one, but the one's that we had in the Army were put through a lot of abuse and I personally didn't hear about any of them breaking.

Never fully understood the appeal of sub boxes like these - I imagine a lot of people realise after the first or second one that they won't use most of the stuff in them, and/or already own something similar, so it's just another box in the corner. The knives seem to be the highlight, but they're pretty hit or miss.
The repeats seem to be items that can be used up and it may just be a way of keeping subscribers stocked up. I agree too many repeats could be an issue for some.
As a collector of all types of knives, cheap and fairly expensive, I've found Civivi to be among the best blades coming out of China. A decent Civivi liner-lock is typically priced in the $40-$70 range.
Civivi definitely makes some great knives. I have a Damascus Odium and I have purchased around 8 of them to gift to friends and family. Not one complaint from anyone!

The SOG shovel is a "entrenching shovel"..... they have been used by soldiers in armies for ever. They even go back as far as Caesar. It's mainly used to dig a trench or some sort of hole to hide in from enemy fire. Great video BTW!!!
Could also be used to dig a cat hole for when you need to poop. That's what I immediately thought it would be used for. Maybe turning over ashes or smothering a fire

Tyler, the little pouch with glass tubes is meant for spices like salt and pepper, bbq rub etc....they are a good pack item, but I agree, need a real lid. Mine is about the size of my hand and has real screw on lids, it's Army green, has a WWII look.

As someone who is largely into the knife and edc world, the civivi, WE, and doug Marcaida knives are the only ones that are worth anything at all. Also, WE, Civivi, and Sencut are all the exact same brand, just different levels of materials. Same manufacturer, same action, etc. just different price brackets and material lists
every military member knows what quick clot is, and most non military members, no its not just a gauze pad, it's a compression bandage with or pure powder that essentially cauterizes wounds like if your shot, a grizzly bear bites you on a part of your body you can't turnakit it will cause blood to clot and stop the bleeding from an AK round or shrapnel. Sometimes the chemical is infused into a pressure dressing, sometimes it comes in just powder, and the people I know who needed quick clot say it burns so bad it hurts worse than the AK round passes through their arm or leg, but they're alive???
I only use like 20% of the stuff out of these things. For the tier I want with the monthly knife I just can see paying that much when I don't use most of it

You carry your basic cover-all spices like salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, whatever you want, y'know? It's glass in a leather pouch with corks because some people prefer that (generally people who like their portable spice rack to NOT curl up into a ball of napalm if your improvised table collapses and drops it into the fire pit for the few seconds it takes for you to fish it back out with a stick)
I have a cheap Ulu and LOVE it. I have really bad arthritis and it's difficult to use a regular knife for me. I wish I could afford a good one like the Deadfish in that Battle Box. I'm a big knife/flashlight/gadget geek and was getting into primitive camping but my condition put an end to that physically and financially. Now I'm always looking at those same things from an adaptive perspective. They don't make those "cool" things specifically for disabled (I hate that word but lack a better description.) people. I wish I had the means to "test" different items and make videos for other disabled people to show how we can once again do the things we loved. From simple things like cooking to building a fire, fish, shoot (for recreation and hunting.) Well I've gone a bit long here. Thanks for putting out some great videos. I just discovered your channels a bit ago and am having a great time with them.

They will last a long time and likely give you stronger projection on that flashlight.
Looking at all of these boxes, and considering all of his previous videos, I can only assume the there are tons of this type of stuff laying all around Tyler's place. Like a crap ton!
The waterproof bags are great for scuba diving! You can use them as a small recovery float bag to help float smaller items to the surface or to even carry stuff to the surface in. I use mine all the time scuba diving.
What strikes me as REALLY dumb is how these boxes just seem like they chucked whatever didn't sell that month in them.. Like, it doesn't even come with one of those sheets with info on each product. It's just a random assortment of whatever crap they found on the warehouse floor that month. DO BETTER Battlebox.. If these are standardized every month, it would cost you almost no money at all to just add a sheet with a picture of the products that are in the box, and a small text box explaining the product and what it's for. As it is now i honestly believe it's just "these products didnt sell well this month so we're getting rid of it by chucking it in a box and giving it to our box subscribers.. surprise!!"
My favorite "treat myself" purchase has been BattlBoxes. Was given a year of the pro package and after 8 boxes I called and upgraded to the pro plus which at the time was like a $40 upgrade each month. Canceled after a year. Ended up with like 60 knives and a bunch of other stuff too... most of which appear in this video. Love what you do Tyler.
It's been since before you were born, Tyler, that I did any kind of adventuring, but having a backpacking hub, I did more than I wanted to. So I can appreciate battlboxes for what they do. But yeah, it stinks when there are so many repeats. I think I'd have to mention it, formally, and/or unsub. Battlbox included, just how many knives have you got, Tyler? And do you keep them all or do they show up in your brother's Christmas and birthday gifts?
The point of smelling salts is to wake you up, not to really bother you, but like, if your friend has a concussion and you're needing them to stay awake while you drag them out of the woods, you wave that under their nose to wake them up with something unpleasant so they don't pass out and die
The shovel is for many things, but foremost, it's for digging poop holes. Animals are attracted to the scent of feces and will come to investigate so it can be very important to bury your waste when in the wilderness.

That’s an Ulu an Inuit knife. Used for skinning and for slicing frozen meat and blubber I believe.
Also works great if you get a special bowl cutting board for mincing herbs. It's also used as a weapon. It was essentially their edc knife.

Five minutes to get smelling salts to work. If I need to wake someone with smelling salt I don't have five minutes to waste or they might die.

Like, it doesn't even come with one of those sheets with info on each product. It's just a random assortment of whatever crap they found on the warehouse floor that month.

If these are standardized every month, it would cost you almost no money at all to just add a sheet with a picture of the products that are in the box, and a small text box explaining the product and what it's for.
As it is now i honestly believe it's just "these products didnt sell well this month so we're getting rid of it by chucking it in a box and giving it to our box subscribers.. surprise!!"
My favorite "treat myself" purchase has been BattlBoxes. Was given a year of the pro package and after 8 boxes I called and upgraded to the pro plus which at the time was like a $40 upgrade each month. Canceled after a year. Ended up with like 60 knives and a bunch of other stuff too... most of which appear in this video.

It's been since before you were born, Tyler, that I did any kind of adventuring, but having a backpacking hub, I did more than I wanted to. So I can appreciate battlboxes for what they do. But yeah, it stinks when there are so many repeats. I think I'd have to mention it, formally, and/or unsub.

The point of smelling salts is to wake you up, not to really bother you, but like, if your friend has a concussion and you're needing them to stay awake while you drag them out of the woods, you wave that under their nose to wake them up with something unpleasant so they don't pass out and die
The little shovel is for camping. Fire pit digging and restroom.
The shovel is for many things, but foremost, it's for digging poop holes. Animals are attracted to the scent of feces and will come to investigate so it can be very important to bury your waste when in the wilderness.
The solar light is sized for use in a tent. So it doesn't need to be very bright to be useful at night.

No kidding!! How he managed to screw all 4 legs into each other creating one mega long leg due that table really just blew my mind 😂😅. Bro didn't notice that it came with 4 legs one for each of the holes that were at each corner of the table.
I love how everything in those boxes is moderately useful but with like stocking stuffer aisle quality and fudd energy 😂

The arc shaped knife is a type of Ulu, it's a traditional knife used by the natives up here in AK. They combine it with a bowl and rock it back and forth for herbs, or you can just use it for food prep in general.
That “Little Shovel” to us former military personnel is called an E-tool or entrenching tool and yes it does come in handy/useful

Opening the box is half the battle.
The entrenching tool can be useful if yyou're going out camping in the rain, you dig a trench around your tent so the water doesn't soak it.
The moon shaped knife is good for chopping tasks in the kitchen like cutting up celery and herbs and similar ingredients.

Hemostatic gauze, the Quick clot, is gauze impregnated with a substance that makes your blood coagulate really fast. Usually in under a minute. Developed for and used by combat medics and the like. Really great stuff for stoping bleeding.
The hemostatic dressing is guaze with quickclot infused into it which stops severe bleeding when you can't use a tourniquet.
