WOW..Thanks for the info..Good video..I been Riding all my Life..Besides changing the oil..Adjusting the chain..Anything else i would bring my Bike to the Dealer..Alot things i no how to do..But to do it right..I Let the Dealer do it and some things are just pain in the ass...F...it..Let the Dealer do it...I see you had a tough time man..Good video...Be good...safe..Riding...😁👍
Dude I was able to take everything off, switch them out, and put it all back together in under 3.5 hours. Thank you for the video. I used thick weed-wackier line and twisted at the same time. I also used a small rubber hammer to lightly tap them flush with the top of the motor.
I was halfway through doing mine when i started doubting myself. Came across your video which helped me realise i wasnt going crazy. Bleeding knuckles 😭
That's very tough Job... The hell with that..Let the Dealer do it..There's some things you could do and some things are just going to be a nightmare F...k that...😁👍
Hey man I wanted to come give you a huge thanks for making this video! I needed to change my plugs this weekend on my '17 FZ-10 as well. I watched this video first and that literally made this project a breeze! Sanding down the locking ball on one of my 3" extensions was such a genius idea! Thanks again man!! 🙏🏾
This guy is so dramatic. The plug change isn't nearly as hard as he describes. No special tools are needed, and you don't have to remove the AIS to get to the plugs. Just pry the coils out gently with a big flathead screwdriver, no need for string, dowels or whatever. I used a magnetic 14mm swivel spark plug socket I bought on Amazon for $12 with a U adapter and a small extension. Easy.
Some times how they make things..Its impossible to try to do it self....They dont make things easy..Could be real pain in the ass...Its not worth all the aggravation...Bring it to the Dealer...I could see you had very tough time..Im Like what the...F......k...Be good man...😁👍
2 70/75mm extensions and thin wall 14mm spark plug socket works well. Getting spark plug caps off coils.... give them half a turn and pull very hard. Make sure u have unplugged them prior to doing this. Will help if you take the ais solenoid which is bottom of air box out the way. Just undo the pipes via the clips.
My speed triple was like that too with the coil packs. I used dielectric grease on them when reinstalling so they seal but still remove easy. Also if you use standard spark plug sockets they have a rubber boot at the top that grabs the sparkplug and keeps the socket attached to the plug when removing. Almost makes you want to by a v4 or vtwin after fuqin with inlines.
That does blow, fortunately I have a pretty decent dealer that actually has more than one competent mechanic. I'm sure they do have it dialed because I've heard R1's are just as bad. That's one I'm going to pat the dealer to do.
It ain't that hard. You just have to have strong hands and patience... as well as twisty motion. My MT07 coil packs are the same way. Just takes patience
Ive been working on sportbikes full time for 35 years, some bikes are still a pain in the ass no matter how many times you do it. good video.

You've convinced me to just pay a shop to deal with this crap. Thanks
Guys out there Yamaha MT-10.Lovers Like me
The hell with that...Let the Dealer do it...Ride Safe..Be good..😁👍
This video genuinely saved my life. I don't know what I would have done if you didn't make this video right when you did. Hats off to you good sir!
No problem

Great video, lucky for me I saw this before I did my spark plugs

Was thinking hmmm i might change my plugs so bit of google fu see how its done, now im like FUCK THAT.

You can buy flexible tool for plugs its like 5$ 😅

Yup sparkplug sockets are the way to go. Dielectric grease on the coil gaskets and coil probe will make the next sparkplug change much easier as well.

🤦Jesus Christ. This is overkill and over dramatic. 🤦 Holy shit TJ lol.
I see that you have strong anger for this service 🤣. I am about to do the same
Yeah it was the same way on my 2017 GSXR 1000 with the coil packs. I some how man handled them out. Haha
First time changing plugs huh? 😂
We've all been there brother. Try to get flexible socket next time
Also, just use a little dielectric grease on the coils when you put them back on. So simple.
How are you guys getting the coils flush on the valve cover? Cannot get them on flush at all!!
I love this guy
Ur a boss🤙🏽

Was wondering WTF with the plugs when doing the pair valve delete.
I believe if you take the side plastics off completely you have access from side of frame to remove Left and Right plugs, with the tool they provide.
Use I bit of wire to put in the hole then when the coil clips on just pull the thin wire out .I used 0.8mm thickness on my benelli tornado
why not use a pivoting spark plug tool like the one that comes with Suzukis xD
Ton of thnx

Do you think it's the same for a 2008 FZ1?
Most inline 4s are the same. Frame always gets in the way. Triples are too.
blanked mine of move rad off peg,s plugs and coil,s that way 3 rd time
Fucking thank you!!!
U should put NGK iridium plugs in your bike.....then u only have to change them every 80 000kms instead of every 10 000kms
Don't do that.
When removing the coil , could you perhaps give it a twist as your pulling up .? Instead of using the "bungie cord " you have used.,??
Richies Bikes I tried that. I actually had to twist and pull with the bungee.
Thats what mechanics are for. Lol
Misfire on 1 advice?
I would be checking the coil, change the spark plug and if that doesn’t fix it I would look at the fuel injector.
Did it ever occur to you to just take the radiator off to get easy access to the plugs?
