    Six months or every 5,000 miles is the maximum time or miles, whichever occurs first if you want to keep your car past the warranty period and protect your engine and values to the max. This is what Scotty Kilmer, The Car Car Nut, and The Motor Oil Geek on TH-cam recommend, so take it from three great TH-camrs and stop worrying about costs. Oil & Filters are cheap compared to repairing or replacing an engine block, period.

      Minimum?
      I agree! A high quality synthetic oil and oil filter like AMSOIL may have a slightly higher price initially when compared to other oils, but will "cost" you much less in the long run.

    I may become a preferred customer so I can get the free paper funnels. I recently put Amsoil in my '81 Yamaha XT250. I've owned it since it was new so I can easily tell the difference. It immediately shifted a lot more smoothly and has an obvious power increase. I have several lawn mowers and will probably switch them to Amsoil this Winter. I'm sold on it after seeing what it did for my bike.

    Can’t justify the cost compared to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum since I go only 6,000 miles a year. GTL (Gas To Liquid) is legit.

      I'm with you. AMSOIL can potentially have a higher price. However, it will cost you less in the long run. AMSOIL offers a few great options. A,B, and C synthetic options. The Signature Series show in this video is our A option. With you running so few miles a year, perhaps the B or C option would be best for you. They have a lower price. Especially if you join the outstanding AMSOIL Preferred Customer Program so you can save 25%, www.amsoil.com/offers/pc/?zo=1649274. Let me ask you this. Other than the price, is there any other reason why wouldn't go with AMSOIL?

      @@officeroil-amsoil3463 For some reason, now is when I got your message. Yeah, the value proposition of Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra Platinum is hard to beat, especially in light of the fact that the differences in those two is negligible according to one of their chemical engineers with whom was nice enough to talk with me. So now, I just go with Platinum or even Supertech unless I get the Pennzoil cheaper. Typically, my cost is around $17 for 5 quarts. I do use OEM FILTERS that I buy in bulk making my oil changes around $20.

    • @officeroil-amsoil3463
      @officeroil-amsoil3463  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow! That's a very low price for 5 quarts of Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra Platinum. It's a solid oil and will certainly do the job. I'm curious where can you find it for that low of price?
      I suppose it really just depends on what level of performance, protection, and results you're actually looking for to determine whether AMSOIL would even be a good fit for you.

      Nice truck! 0W-20. My best recommendation is the AMSOIL Signature Series 0W-20 100% Synthetic Motor Oil (ASM), www.amsoil.com/p/amsoil-signature-series-0w-20-100-synthetic-motor-oil-asm/?zo=1649274. • @officeroil-amsoil3463
      @officeroil-amsoil3463  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ivanhamlynI'd stick with 0W-20 on this one. Lower viscosity doesn't mean lower quality. Toyota has tested and proved that 0W-20 is the best recommendation for your truck. They've also proved that 0W-16 and 0W-8 are the best recommendations for other vehicles. The newer engines have such small tolerances and a higher viscosity oil makes it harder to reach your critical engine components. If you're like me and want the absolute best performance and protection then I hope you'll consider the AMSOIL Signature Series I mentioned above. Signature Series is what all my vehicles get!

    Just like any other oil would! I was an amsoil dealer but ridiculous prices along with expensive shipping made it real hard to convince people amsoil is any better then anything else. Ive yet to have an oil related failure with any brand.

    • @officeroil-amsoil3463
      @officeroil-amsoil3463  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for reaching out Dockside Marine. I'm with you. AMSOIL is certainly priced higher than others (not all). However, in the long run AMSOIL costs less. I use the old analogy of dial up internet vs. high speed internet. Dial up is cheaper but with the efficiency of high speed, it actually costs you less down the line.
      Of course, conventional oils still does the job. However, AMSOIL reduces wear, reduces temperatures, maximizes fuel economy, reduces oil waste, extends drain intervals, cuts vehicle downtime, etc.
      I completely understand. I HATE paying shipping too. AMSOIL has overhauled it's programs which have really made things sizzle. The FREE shipping promos have really helped. Preferred Customers now get FREE shipping with a $100 order, www.amsoil.com/offers/pc/?zo=1649274. Plus save 25% off the retail price!

      @DuckMcDuckinson 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah for sure you won’t as long as you keep track of your intervals. I’ll always use AMSOIL. I use it in my 2010 Camry 2.5 and 2018 Camry 2.5 and use the European formula FS in my BMW. Man that euro oil especially is super good, waaayyyy better than liqui moly. Went 7500 miles on it and it still had its viscosity and lubricity. Smelled good still! The only issue I have with it is I have to pay shipping for items that are less than 100 but it does help me to sneak in a bottle of Pi cleaner into my cart to help out with the shipping.

    Amsoil is overrated now. It used to be the best but not anymore. I've tested its film strength to other brands, engine and transmission fluids, and it's not near the best anymore.

    • @officeroil-amsoil3463
      @officeroil-amsoil3463  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm with you. With the launch of the new OE, XL, Commercial Grade, etc. lines the quality definitely dropped, but so did the price. These new product lines were designed specifically for those who are not comfortable with paying for the higher priced and also higher performing 100% synthetic lines like Signature Series. Signature Series is on a whole different level of performance. It's what I personally run in all my vehicles. Which AMSOIL oils are you specifically testing?

    • @mlyon834
      @mlyon834 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@officeroil-amsoil3463 i’ve tested all the engine oils. But they are not as good as other brands. Quaker State full synthetic has about 20% higher film strength than Amsoil Signature Series. Mobil 1 Full Synthetic ATF has about 30% higher film strength than Amsoil transmission fluid, red and blue. Amsoil is no longer the best; they depend on their name now to sell. They are not top tier anymore.
