Rachael is one of the BEST song interpreters of our time!
FAx.
So consistently amazing. I could listen to Rachel sing anything and be mesmerized. Such a great group all around.
I heard that
She could sing the alphabet and I would pay money to hear it live.
Forever LSD notification checker ❤
I always thought she had a bit of Carole and Carly Simon in her! What an amazing voice. Love you guys!❤
Best cover of this song since Kurt Ellling …This is why I’ve been a Lake Street Dive fan for over 12 years & will go see them live anywhere I can. (Hat’s off ladies & gentlemen…You guys have got your shit together & respect the music and the art. Thank You!
Just 1000% pure beauty. Rachel Price sounds and looks like pure, feminine, immortal warmth. The whole band generates warm feelings. Great musicians.
Musician myself I’m picky and don’t like most commercial covers but this girl is just perfect. Her voice is haunting. I hear her in my head all the time. Bravo
THE BEST version of this song since the original, no question!
cough cough rod stewart
In 1971, I rode with Mike Duty and Rob James from Wichita Falls to Dallas to see James Taylor at the State Fair Music Hall. The second bill on the show was a singer/songwriter touring in support of her album that was soon to be released called Tapestry. We were astonished by how good Carole King was. This version took me right back to that place in time. Thanks.
I'm from W.F., wish I'd gone with yall to that show...
best voice in today's music
A stunningly beautiful interpretation of a song that has moved millions. I sincerely hope many many people see this - it will make the world abundantly happier. ❤
She is phenomenal.
I randomly discovered this AMAZING band and wow, I’m so glad! Awesome 🤩
Great to see this group still going strong.
Her singing this song gives me goosebumps--- such a perfect homage to Carol!! it hits the perfect notes-- just unreal, you can tell she loves to sing it and hear it too :) just magic! use good headphones and listen, you're truly transported---
'm 9K miles "far and away" from my first love and we've been married for 35 years. She's a volunteer OB/Gyn Doctor at an African Hospital and I'm here in COVID covered America trying to raise funds so she can continue to save women and children lives. So this song touches my heart and soul today. Missing you babe, will be home in 10 days "but you're so far away"
With all my love from France 🇫🇷 ♥️♥️♥️!!!
Merci beaucoup 🤗🤗🤗!!!
Your hair is gorgeous! I don't have to say anything about your voice...it's flawless. Great job guys!
That one takes me back , beautiful version 😍👍👍🇺🇸
Carole King is exactly who I thought of when I first her sing. So beautiful
I'm speechless. This was so beautiful. Thank you LSD!
Just love when a band makes a cover their own. I also love when a band utilizes the "space between the notes" to embellish the story. sometimes less is better. Superb arrangement, open, flowing and slowly building emotion.
If you don't like this band, then you don't know anything about music. They are so extremely talented and a joy to see. I'll be right up front for both St. Paul shows in January. Peace and Love to all
Wow.... goosebumps!!! Incredible and beautiful cover of a classic. 🎉 👏 👏 👏
Excellent version of one of my favorites, thanks ☮️
Nice! Real Nice!
Took me about 3 notes of Racheal singing to upvote. She sounds so sweet.
I considered long ago that LSD is part of my Family! Now, it's a Reunion when we ALL get together under a roof or outdoors and score with some music and song! Been with LSD since Halloween 2011 when I saw "Second Hand News"....knew then what I know now.....That This Is The Best Trip I have Ever Had! Cheers From Ohio and Happy Halloween 2022
I am in absolute love with these people!
Sounds like this is the format for the new tour, more stripped down, and I'm 100% here for it. Already have tickets to their first night in MN, might go again the next night lol
They're coming to MN? I missed that news! Wow, glad I saw your comment.
Sounds good, nice rendition. You guys always always knock it outta the park.
This woman. Such a gift. Swoon
Heard them over Walmart speaker the other day and cried in joy for them...deserve to be so much bigger.
Beautiful...
Zo mooi en zo herkenbaar...❤ tijdloos

Kudos to LSD. Can't believe Tapestry is now over 51 years old. Hail Carole King - Goddess songwriter!
So lovely and smoooooth.
Amazing 😍😍😍
I love this so much. The understated but gorgeous harmonies, Rache's amazing phrasing and tone ... and a damned fine song!
When I hear Rachel, I keep hearing the influence of the jazz greats delivered through the lens of contemporary "classics" - seriously, she delivers the goods in every genre!
GREAT job guys! 💙
I’ve been a fan for many years. You are all so beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving.

Brilliant. Privileged to see this live and you 2 nights in a row at Radio City xo
That guitar sounds so good, the mix, every vocal, bass and drums always perfection. Love you Rachel.
Not just great with their original material, but also great in interpreting classics such as this. I can't get enough of this band.

Rachel's amazing. But that bass player, damn.
Yes, she is amazing. And her choices often make the arrangements next level.

So far away
Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore?
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
Doesn't help to know you're just time away
Long ago, I reached for you and there you stood
Holding you again could only do me good
How I wish I could, but you're so far away
One more song about movin' along the highway
Can't say much of anything that's new
If I could only work this life out my way
I'd rather spend it bein' close to you
But you're so far away
Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore?
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
Doesn't help to know you're so far away
Yeah, you're so far away
Traveling around sure gets me down and lonely
Nothing else to do but close my mind
I sure hope the road don't come to own me
There's so many dreams I've yet to find
But you're so far away
Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore?
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
It doesn't help to know you're so far away
Yeah, you're so far away
Hey, you're so far away
Thank you, you were very kind
hey LSD, are you planning to come to Tampa next year? Had tickets to see your show back in 2020, but it was canceled due to the pandemic. Hopefully, you'll be coming this way.
I love you all
Nice! :)
Rachael Price is a National Treasure! Am I right?
absolutely! and she is an import :)
like butter
Wait a minute, is Bridget playing a Hofner bass? Man alive do they kill!
Wonderful job on a classic song, y’all! Just wondering, where’s McDuck?
Mcduck left the band! I believe it was last year.
Just "unannounced show for our Brooklyn friends and a few fans" and you are as tight and cool and sweet as ever :)
Beautiful performance by all. I don't recall hearing Rachel appear to emulate a rather precise reproduction of the tone of another singer's voice (Carole King). Notes and phrasing for sure but not the resonance right down to the vibrato. King has a trademark nasal quality to her voice. It's very evident on the original Tapestry version of this song. Rachel captures that with remarkable accuracy several times during the song, precisely where and how Carole did it. I wasn't expecting that from Rachel because she has such a strong identity of her own as a singer, regardless of the style of the song.
Hearing this performance made me realize that a lot of her singing is heavily influenced by Carole King in the first place. I went back and listened to other songs and there is a little Carole King in a LOT of what she does. Stronger here than normal, but sometimes you pay homage to your influences.
She manages to charm
'cause the blues pours out of you, Rachel
♥️🌈♥️🌈♥️
LSD, please do a version of "Son of a Preacher Man".
Better than the original!
