    I hope an artist like Normani can learn from an artist like Rihanna in this decade and the past two decades too. Normani is such a perfectionist that she wants her 1st album to be so flawless but I hope she realizes it's ok to reach your full-fledged height on your second, third, or fourth album. Normani is way too hard on herself trying to fly above the ladder and that's what has been hindering her. Look at Doja Cat, Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, and others. Just like Rihanna, your breakthrough era/album doesn't have to be your first album. Release the art that you have at the specific time in your life without feeling that it needs to be so perfect. That way when you look back years from now, you appreciate the growth and climb you had just like Rihanna did.

      Rihanna is proof that you don’t need over the top talent to be huge. Normani has that. She’ll need that fire single and sadly a look that the public falls in love with. I don’t think she’s found either yet. And that’s why she seems to be going nowhere. But I have hope for her.

    • @babybutterfly2342
      @babybutterfly2342 2 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Exactly. Trying to make everything perfect you end up losing years of time. She’s 26 and hasn’t even dropped her first album yet. Not trying to age shame but I feel like she’s being holding off for awhile. She dropped Motivation when she was 23.

    Weird trivia: When “Umbrella” reached number one in the UK, Romania, and New Zealand, those countries experienced some of the worst rainfalls and flooding in their history. The downpour subsided when the song coincidentally fell off the charts.
    This led journalists to joke about the phenomenon, calling it the “Rihanna curse”. Even her team took notice that they made, of course, umbrella merchandise out of this!

I was blown away by every last detail, from the choreography to every single costume change and setting. Let's not even talk about seeing her for the first time dance on black point... And to do so in such a unique and cultivating way. Big ups to the producers, writers, choreographers and all masters minds who spent endless hours creating this song and video. Public perception sympathy and admiration create the fan base-- look at Leanne rhymes - she was a kid star but cheating on her hubby with another married man killed her career
