Hanna, thank you for doing what your doing. I’m a male cheerleader in a place where a guy being a cheerleader is looked at funny and you videos have really inspired me.
Don’t worry about what other people think. I am a male figure skater in a male-dominated profession. I deal with the same thing. If you are straight, you’re a genius to be placing yourself in a position to meet as many beautiful women as possible in one place. Case in point, I met my fiancé on the ice.
Hey, good for you! Do what you love and don't worry what others think. The figure skater, who also responded to your comment, is completely correct in what he said. Cheerleading is not easy at all. Because it's a relatively new sport, a lot of people are dismissive about it. A mere 25 years ago, cheerleading only meant hot girls shaking pom-poms and chanting cheers. There weren't complicated lifts and tumbling, etc. Men (I know I'm generalizing here and I don't mean every single man) seem to have a tendency to think that dancing, figure skating, gymnastics and cheerleading are sort of "weak" and "girly." I'd love to see any of them try it, wouldn't you? North American men even tend to think soccer is girly. That's how I can tell they've never played. What's really strange is that these guys think (American) football is a sport for "real men." Um ... You mean where everybody is wearing skin-tight pants, and one guy gets the ball and all the other guys chase him because they want to grab him around the waist to pull him down to the ground? And then all the other guys jump on each other? "Real men." The worst part about football is all the concussions. (There used to be a lot of fatalities. In the early 20th century, it was almost abolished because players were dying on the field. They only had very rudimentary protective equipment back then. It was President Theodore Roosevelt, who insisted that football continue. He was very pro-macho, because he was overcompensating for his childhood when he was very sickly. I read his biography, written by David McCullough.) What I'm trying to say is that some people believe outdated stereotypes, and some don't want to know anything different. Just keep being yourself. I don't know if you're in high school or university, or even younger or older than that, but I found that when one's peers start to enter their early 20s, they have more life experience and become able to respect somebody who had enough guts to do something different even if some ignorant idiots were teasing him. I'm glad you have found Hannah's channel, and that she is inspiring you. I'm sure your comment made her day! I hope you and your family have a merry Christmas!
I'm a wheelchair using ballet dancer. The routine was really helpful in mobilising my shoulders, spine, hands and wrists. I'll return to it. Thank you for posting!
Wow, this class felt really good. I enjoyed the gentle stretching technique that was intense, but not exhausting. It made me feel rejuvenated. Love Mobius!❤
can you fix the snapping scapula syndrome? any tips? btw, it's a great session, definatelly I need to try! thank you Hannah, you're doing absolutelly the great job!
I would definitely get in contact with Harvey if you can! I’ve left his contact details in the description of this video. It could be helpful for you? X
I took a look at Harvey's website, which you had linked in your description. Very interesting! He seems to be helping you quite a lot. You are learning a lot of different things throughout your recovery, some of which you probably hadn't even planned on. This means that you're growing not only as a dancer, but also as a person in ways that you wouldn't otherwise have. I hope you're doing well, and I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas! 🎄🎁⛪️🎅
Thank you! Yes! I am learning so so much, and grateful for all the people I have met along the way. Especially Harvey and Frances (who I will introduce in a future video)
This was a wonderful video and I’m going to incorporate this into my training. Thank you so much. Side note: The camera adjustments were distracting and didn’t look necessary.
