As an American Trucker at 60, I am getting to see what you have to do to try to take care of the needs of the people in the cities that are not connected by trains. 3 full trailers as the normal are unique all unto itself. Congrats to all that you do. Job well done. You don't see Swift type of nonsense down under. Real truckers that mean what they do.
Fuel tanks are approximately 400 to 450 litres each. 4 of them gives a range of Brisbane to Melbourne return with half fuel left or approximately 3800 kms
Awesome, Awesome. Thank you for being so prompt in my request. I love the footage and the image you present of Australias outback. Keep those cameras rolling and stay safe guys. Again well done. Robert.

Missing from this video is thsee professional truckies testing the water depth beforehand - which is done on foot or knowing that stretch of road and knowing first hand the depth of the flood. If I had my time again, I'd progress to being a road train driver.
Good on ya mate. I am sick and tired of all the yankeeisms (if that's a word) that have found their way into the Australian way of life. 4WD's being called trucks really gets my blood running also. Then a delivery driver called me "bro". I drive a car and it happens to be a 4wd Toyota. FYI @aussiefirie One nephew was a firie in CBR and then in Wagga was an ambo then paramedic. Passed on now. Rob (nee Bob) was as good as they come. Sorry about the rant.
dammm that toyota, so sad man! fully kitted out with all the accessories and roof top tent = all gone how do the trucks go through these crossings? do they have some sort of 6WD transmission?
Gosto muito desses vídeos de caminhões semelhantes a trens da Austrália;por acaso essas rodovias passam em lugares pantanosos ou são alagadas em períodos chuvosos?👏👍
@@brendaeuly3557 Probably more like the top end, anywhere from the Kimberley in Western Australia to Northern Territory to the gulf country in Queensland.

Volvo scania daf can totally handle the outback, let me tell ya that! Just as tough reliable etc as Kenworth, w.star blah blah blah.. plus they have better comfort factor & lighter bodies - better fuel economy der
We do have trains that cross our lucky country,we have some of the longest trains in the world so just lookup them on youtube.north to south, and east to west.
Jake D nope! those trucks are specially made of Australia with stronger chasis , more drive axels, more engine horsepower , better water proofing , better gears, right hand drive and the most important thing they have huge fuel tanks because they won't sea a fuel station in few thousand km so it is better to have more!
If the water had been much deeper they would have waited for all the axles to cool before going through. You're right it's no fun packing that many bearings.
That's why all the owner op trucks went slow enough to keep the wake down, and the toll driver just floored it through lol. He didn't care about the wheel bearings or diffs.

Great job. Praise and wishes for safety from a retired long haul trucker in the US!
Total Respect for you Aussie Truckies
Tats the main reason Australia is Australia from this Truckies driving from one side to the other
always been fascinated with Road Trains. Would love to see one in person.
yes they are huge I could watch them all day!
Just so long as you're not stuck behind one with a swaying third trailer on a narrow, winding country road with lots of double yellow lines.
Fuel tanks are approximately 400 to 450 litres each. 4 of them gives a range of Brisbane to Melbourne return with half fuel left or approximately 3800 kms
no matter how many times I watch, these trains always amaze me...... awesome
They are amazing mate cheers for watching.
greetings from Brazil. I love to see these Road Trains in action. Hope to visit the real Australia one day. Congrats.
Charles Sannas do it mate.
Thank heavens for truckies. Rail lines are limited.
Thinking of some small town in the Outback waiting on their beer, smokes and Vegemite! Keep ‘em rolling boys.

simply the best!!! Keep on Trucking! ;-) Greetings from Germany :-)

Schöne Aufnahmen, wie der Road Train durch einen Billabong fährt
Doesn't uneven heights of dolly with weights affect the driveablility?

Not sure where you are from, but you know the depth by the road markers. Some areas have depth markers too.
And floods mean (mean !) crocs....
It wouldn't have been fast flowing water, so there'd be no washaways.
O Brasil agradece pelo vídeo
Definitely gonna subscribe to your channel
Lol the fj cruiser sitting there all flooded hahaha
Gonna need a boat licence for it now :)
Feck you hahahaha
Good place for it.

Great video but what ended up happened to the truck that had stopped in the flood water?

Hardly flood water- its basically just a long puddle.
How much horsepower?
Normally 700 up to 1000 on the very biggest I think.

Wicked stuff!!!
Badass Aussies
It used to be that you'd caulk the wagon and attempt to ford the river. Now you install a snorkel and put 100 tonnes on your axles.
So a foot of water over paved road is extreme trucking ?? If you say so......
are the bugs that loud?
Loud? They are that big we have to shoot them. Aerosol sprays don't work on them at all, just make's 'em cranky...........
whats the story with the fj cruiser stuck in the water off to the right
