A slight edit you could make during Tsunami 2: the tank with Scouring Waters can be in one of the very front corners, and have melee members at max melee on the opposite side. That way you can keep everyone at max uptime. The AoE is big, but not as big as people think.
Also, please remember, you're not popping the black smoker puddles, you're standing in them when they explode. You can't just run in and run out hoping it'll pop.

Didn't catch prog for this fight on day one or two unfortunately, but I imagine it was "fun" for people trying to figure out that debuff chain XD Also appreciate that you're mentioning alternatives and that there are probably other ways to deal with things since I know there can be hate for guide videos for giving "The One Way" (at least in some folks' minds)
Watched some other guides, and Twitch streams. Are we sure that overlapping the Vent puddles during Black Smoker causes AOE/Damage Down? It sure doesn't look like it.
yeah it seems like if you stand in one puddle when the second appears, so if the middle of the second is inside the area of the first, then it will fail.
One thing I found out about splashing waters: if anyone with the debuff disconnects and goes offline before the debuff is cleansed, regardless of the duration, it will automatically explode and wipe the raid if people are still stacked on top of the dc player. Had it happen when I was learning the fight.
I love how he says "tightly stacked" while the group in the video is spread across different timezones.
