I really like the boss design. In a game with giant monsters and big dragons there is something special about getting your butt kicked by a flock of birds.
You can dramatically simplify the light/dark portal phase by cleaning up the logic behind it - you don't even have to think about anything after the first round. All you have to do is find your first safe spot after the initial blast (red or blue line), then look at the north portals that spawn on the first round. If they are blue-red, you have to change your position with each blast (go from blue to red, then blue, then red or vice versa). If those north portals are red-blue, then you do not need to switch from your initial safe position AT ALL. Even with the white/black aoe that gets dropped on you, it works itself out so that you are always safe. Just try it, it works.
Also does this also count the first portals that spawn in the south so that if I had to stand in blue do I then stand in red if the left top corner is also blue?
I recently found out that if you have high dps before the add phase and you kill the adds fast enough, the boss will cast an extra empty wave at the end of the fight before casting hard enrage.
I been doing this, honestly the hardest. AND STILL HARDEST is that initial away with thee and killing the adds on time. You fighting the bloody controls
EZPZ guide for colors+portals Phase 3 Portals + Colors : Step 1 : Find the first beam you need (light/dark) and follow it through its portal (red/blue) and get hit Step 2 : Position yourself accordingly to the portal you NEED for the second hit, get hit, then follow the following logic : DODGE 1 : Doing the opposite of what the portal does If EAST and WEST Portals (or East and Front) are the SAME, I WONT be the same (aka I swap my safespot by going north or south) If Portals aren't the same, I WANT TO BE the same (aka I won't swap my safespot, and just hang on the same square for the next beam) --------------------------------------------------------- After you do the correct movement and new portals spawn, you keep doing the same movement : If it was SWAP, you will SWAP again after getting hit by the new beam If it was STAY, you will STAY on the same square after getting hit It is ALWAYS the same pattern for dodge 1 and 2, either double swap or double stay ONLY WATCH THE FIRST SET OF PORTALS, not the second, otherwise you'd have to think differently. If you want to read the second portals aswell it'd be like this : DODGE 2 (WITH THE LIGHT/DARK AOE) : Doing what the portal does If Portals are the SAME, I STAY THE SAME If Portals aren't the SAME, I CHANGE Double reading is NOT recommended since it's overcomplicating but you never know
This light and dark with the portal mechanism is confusing my brain so much, I understand what to do and how it work but when I face it I can't process it 😭
There is a super simple strat you can use there. First check which colour portal your opposite colour goes in. If you have dark debuff stand in light birds and check which colour portal the dark birds go to and get ready to stand in that colour portal. Remember to be on the side since there are 2 portals south and north in the middle. When youre standing on the correct spot you have to check what colour portal your birds are going next. If they go from portal to a different colour portal (from blue to red or red to blue) you will never have to switch your spot. Just remember to drop your aoe to mid after first portal and go back to your spot. But if the birds go to the same colour portal (from blue to blue or red to red) that means you have to switch your spot every time. So swap between 1st and 2nd or 3rd and 4th portal. So to shortly put it same colour you keep swapping, different colour you stay. Its super simple this way and you dont even have to think about light/dark debuffs.
how come in all of these mtqcapture videos i feel like the camera is zoomed way farther out than i can do in game is there some way to zoom farther out than the default?
It's because people rush to be the "first" guide out there, so they don't care about accuracy or simplicity. I love MTQ videos because they're very visual and very easy to understand.
at 11:20 it shows that opposite storms have different colours, but in video it shows that storms facing each other have the same colour. is that a Mistake or just that can happen for real?
you can stack all white and all dark aoe bombs together, and you can also stack in one corner in the mechanic before that, no need to spread yourself apart and overcomplicate things
Ps4 controller (savage) Seriously, fuck this fight. I had change my movement settings just to make teleportation easier. Since legacy settings won't let you rotate your character unless you're in first person or actually move with the left analog stick. Character based movement fixes this; however, you wont be able to run backwards.. And if you so much as use a skill when you're moving, it'll adjust your camera automatically to where you're facing unless you turn off camera auto adjust off. But when you do, it'll fuck up your character movement during an action skill. The way to fix this is by turning off "auto-face target during action." BUT THE FUCKING DOWNSIDE IS THAT YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY FACE THE BOSS (by rotating your character with the right analog stick) EVERY TIME YOU WANNA HIT IT. So if you're running back for a mechanic, you basically cant hit it unless you're fast enough to rotate yourself in between GCDs (Yes. i dialed up the character rotation to 100. Also forgot to mention i did this on BRD) So really, both movement settings are fucked and it's just a matter of preference. I died and struggled more using legacy than the latter. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAaaaaaAAAAAAAA
@@Yris_Miretn-jer I blind progged this day 1 and had no idea there was a specific way to do this on controller. EZPZ guide for colors+portals
Phase 3 Portals + Colors :
Step 1 : Find the first beam you need (light/dark) and follow it through its portal (red/blue) and get hit
Step 2 : Position yourself accordingly to the portal you NEED for the second hit, get hit, then follow the following logic :
DODGE 1 : Doing the opposite of what the portal does
If EAST and WEST Portals (or East and Front) are the SAME, I WONT be the same
(aka I swap my safespot by going north or south)
If Portals aren't the same, I WANT TO BE the same (aka I won't swap my safespot, and just hang on the same square for the next beam)
---------------------------------------------------------
After you do the correct movement and new portals spawn, you keep doing the same movement :
If it was SWAP, you will SWAP again after getting hit by the new beam
If it was STAY, you will STAY on the same square after getting hit
It is ALWAYS the same pattern for dodge 1 and 2, either double swap or double stay
ONLY WATCH THE FIRST SET OF PORTALS, not the second, otherwise you'd have to think differently.
If you want to read the second portals aswell it'd be like this :
DODGE 2 (WITH THE LIGHT/DARK AOE) : Doing what the portal does
If Portals are the SAME, I STAY THE SAME
If Portals aren't the SAME, I CHANGE
Double reading is NOT recommended since it's overcomplicating but you never know
I just got my first E6S clear and it was hell. Looks like E7S is gonna be even harder.
