    planars are eardestroyers with their extended bass from my personal experience.
    Fun, but quantity of the bas should be equalized down in base with sound swallowing, softer pads or electronically with eq.

    Good Dynamic drivers become good with use. And the better ones do an incredible work too. But Planars are definitely worth owning. What would be your recommendations?

    Dear Sir,
    I currently own a Sony Walkman ZX707, and I am planning to purchase the Planar Magnetic IEM (KZ - PR1 PRO). Since my Walkman ZX707 is already a Digital Audio Player, I would like to know if I need a DAC or amplifier for the Planar Magnetic IEM, or if I can simply connect it and listen to the music. Your guidance on this matter would be highly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    • @headphone_zone
      @headphone_zone  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great choice on the Sony Walkman ZX707 and the KZ - PR1 PRO! The Sony NW-ZX707 has ample power to drive the KZ-PR1 Pro, and its built-in DAC should provide a good audio experience. You can connect the IEMs to your Walkman and enjoy your music without the need for an additional DAC or amplifier. The combination of the ZX707 and KZ-PR1 PRO should deliver a fantastic listening experience. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask. Keep the music playing! 🎧🎶

    I like your channel bro, i was doing a little research about planar magnetics speakers, seems like i found everything i want to know.
    I get the drum part. The sound is more accurate and fast because doesnt have a cone going forward and backwards. Saying that leaves me a question, those planar sound a little artificial?

    The Audeze LCD2's I listened to this on made the background music sound great, but the room acoustics made your voice sound awful. LOL so many things just sound bad when the sound is so clear.

    How does planar magnetic drivers compare with Electrostatic drivers

    • @headphone_zone
      @headphone_zone  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey there, comparing planar magnetic drivers with electrostatic drivers is like exploring two distinct realms of sound reproduction. Planar magnetic drivers utilise a thin diaphragm with embedded conductive traces that vibrate between magnetic arrays, creating a dynamic and detailed soundstage with impactful bass and accurate imaging. On the other hand, electrostatic drivers employ an ultra-thin diaphragm suspended between charged plates, resulting in exceptional transient response, lifelike timbre, and an airy presentation that's often described as ethereal.
      Planar magnetic drivers excel in offering a rich, immersive sound with depth, while electrostatic drivers prioritise precision and nuance. Both technologies have their merits, and the choice ultimately comes down to personal preference. So, whether you lean towards the captivating power of planar magnetics or the delicate intricacies of electrostatics, each driver type brings a unique flavour to your audio experience.

    Basically, traditional Dynamic Driver has a lisp that a keen ear can notice, however, Planar Magnetic drivers speak clearly.

    Of course no band uses planar magnetic drivers in their live setups or in their recording so in order to duplicate the sound as intended a dynamic driver done well can be hard to beat plus electrostatics are much better tha planar drivers but i own a set of Hifiman planar headphones but they dont come close to me Sennheisers with traditional drivers

  • @Cujobob
    @Cujobob 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's too bad there isn't enough competition. Planar magnetic drivers are fantastic, but a lack of competition will result in cheap efforts like Hifiman headphones. BG is one of the only companies who've yet created amazing planar magnetic drivers without overpricing the technology.

      I still can't belive 820s are like thuansands when it's clearly our of date and a company is trying to keep it alive just like call if duty which is sadly dead but somone keeps beating the dead horse but to find a another driver that gives base and clearer sound oviusly not as clear as electrostatic unless they male headphones with base speakers and electrostatic

    Plenar magnetic need lot of power? Don't think so. You can easilly run them from smartphone. Have my OPPO PM-3 runnig of my phone and don't sound worst then Sennhiser HD 580 i.e. 300 ohm ran with amplifier. Other story is that I have LG V30 which is best phone for audio however I tried them with girlfriend's S8 and also sound great.

      In electrostatics, the membrane is metal, and they require an energizer. They can actually be a little dangerous if you get them wet.
