Wow, very overpriced at $40k for a two-door, two-wheel drive, with clothes seats. I bought a '22 Frontier with 13k miles with four doors, 4WD, leather seats, and all the optional packages for $32k.
I bought a white 2014 V6 prerunner with the 6.2 bed, 52K miles, 6-inch lift, 35's, and blacked out emblems for 23K at Audi in plano TX 6 months ago. Don't ever tell me that this is worth 40K cuz it ain't.
No m/t in the pre-runners or. any other extended cab line either they’re only in the four-door line only but the taco truck looks pretty cool it’ll be even cooler if it was a manual transmission
Can you help me understand what this trim has going for it? In all my research, the prerunner is basically an SR for 8k more. They have the same seats, the same smaller info screen, the same smaller digital dash, both come in 2 doors, and both come with a 6-foot bed. Both come in 2x4. Same tailgate (manual), same engine. The same leaf springs in the back. Same suspension on the front. The only things I see different and the Prerunner has rims and the standard locking differential.
40k for a 2 door rwd 4cyl turbo truck made in mexico ? No thanks Toyota completely missed out with this model So much wasted potential Give it AWD Standard softex seats Take away all the unnecessary technology, Give us back the good old v6 Bring it down to 30k You got a deal
Everything you said is standard on the SR...The SR is 7k less... the same seats, bed, leaf springs, info screen, dash cluster, extra storage, and standard safety features... and the SR comes in 4x4. The Prerunner is a scam, and only people who can't think freely will pick this model and pay 7k more literally just for the "Prerunner" rims.
@@ateeqafzal4444 I'm def not a Taco expert and all my info is coming from TH-cam videos but I could have sworn I watched a video of a SR XtraCab in manual. But I could be wrong.
2wd 2 doors for $39k 🤭😅 bigger ram1500 classic with 4wd quad cab are selling for $42k. I have one and wouldn’t swap it for this entry level thing. The ram also has wireless carplay
Not having those rear suicide doors on the extended cab is a major deal breaker for me, having the capability to carry an additional 2 passengers was a big benefit to have on the older Tacomas and also made it easier to to load/unload things in the rear….
Yes sir! I probably trade my 2022 Tacoma for this prerunner or hopefully they offer the manual transmission in the sr or sr5 extended cab. 4door trucks looks ugly in my opinion, if they were not making extended cab I just get a 4Runner or landcruiser..
They are the ones stealing your 40K.
Should be 30k for the bare bones
Agree
If it don't have four doors. Then 40k is not a steal!!
I love your videos
@stuartschwarz8265 That means alot to me. I'll keep making more videos. Thank you for your motivation.
2 doors AND 2 wheel drive? For nearly $40,000?😂😂😂
Wow, very overpriced at $40k for a two-door, two-wheel drive, with clothes seats.

why should I buy that when a base half-ton costs the same?
25k max is all it’s worth
Everyone loved Toyota because they were cheap and reliable. Now we know they aren’t cheap, and tbd on if the new powertrains will hold up.
Not to mention it’s only RWD that is not a steal at 40k! I would never buy a truck for 40k without 4WD that’s a scam if you ask me.
Damn I remember when you could get a full size pickup crew cab for $40K with a V8.
Wow, you used to be able to buy a 4banger manual 4x4 access cab Tacoma for like 24k. This thing is bare bones and only 2wd for almost 40k?
This just showed me that I need to take care of my 2012 Tacoma.
But you're parked on a blind curve two lane road. Why???
Clout
This was on a completely closed road
@@bruhtthewdefinitely lol
@@CarConfections clout is clout. New tacoma still bad ass tho
@bruhtthew a nice ride is a nice ride. Never gonna be able to afford that though. (Me, not you).

$40k before taxes and forced dealer add ons
Nah, $40k need to have crew cab

40K for a two door truck LMFAO
How about 60k for rwd on a cybertruck?
@@AnonDogecyber truck seats five and it’s a semi-luxury EV.
Crazy price for one of those but if you're going to get one it needs to have a manual transmission and a locker
The locker is standard on the Prerunner.
wonder if i could get a used one in a year or two for what its retail price should be = 29k
Good landscaping vehicle. What do you think?
If it was an access cab with a smaller bench I’d understand that but it’s basically a single cab with TRD packages.
I really hope people stop supporting these companies. Keep your trusty 3rd gens!!
40k wtf is going on
$49,769* out the door price is WILD 🤪
The new XtraCab looks like it has less space available than an actual Access Cab with small seats.
For $4k more you’d get the more practical/versatile/desirable TRD off-road
And for 8k less you can get the SR which literally has all the same features as the prerunner, minus the rims
40 thousand is stupid ridiculous for this truck. This is maybe a $32 thousand truck.
My 2023 f150 V8 4x4 w/rear locker cost me $43k. And i got 400hp and average over 20 mpg. This would be a huge downgrade.
This is prob my fav trim and spec 👌

Nobody will pay $38k for the prerunner 2 door only if it's a double cab, dealers are ripoffs and will be forced to lower the price...
The back doesn't even look like it can seat people.
A steal because it “looks handsome”. Yikes.
Over price. 40k gives a full size truck or a frontier with 4x4
I paid 3k more for my sport 4x4 premium/tech double cab long bed. So no.
I don't get why they didn't offer a manual in this package
They do.

sorry but that shouldn’t be greater than 35k (and that is generous) for a bare bones truck with zero options/packages
this is a 34k truck. 40k is robbery
40k access cab 2wd insane. 21k truck
Great #short!
Did you mention what engine you get with that?
If not time to re think doing car reviews.
He must work for toyota. 40k is just too much money
Now 5 reasons how we rip you off your money and you say its ok….. thats a 25k truck, period.

Good bye reliability
40k ???? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely worthless in 4x2 configuration. Still overpriced for so little performance.
A 4 cyl rip off full of recalls
A bit to much for 2 doors. A pretty specd out maverick is worth 40k
Except the Maverick will only last 200k miles!
@orange2352 point made. But this is still a redesign. So we are going to have to wait a few years for the latest gen to have that amazing reliability
maverick is cheaper to make than tacoma
In what world is this a steal? Looks ugly!

40k junk
No , if it don’t a transfer case , I won’t buy it!
