Mike and I return to the old riverside bottle dump and have some good luck finding bartles and other cool artifacts. Sorry it took so long to get this video out. I hope you enjoy it! You can find Mike's TH-cam channel here: www.youtube.com/@gr8finds196
Those little milk bottles bring back some fond memories Mr Chigg. I used to buy a half pint bottle of milk for 2 cents once in a while when I was in grade school at Vancleve, in Breathitt County Kentucky. In those days the noon meal, or "dinner", only cost 10 cents but I rarely had 2 cents for the milk, much less a dime, so I usually carried my dinner in a 4 pound lard pail, along with a half pint whiskey bottle filled with home churned buttermilk with a corn cob stopper in the hip pocket of my bibb overalls. Thanks for the video. Keep up the good work friend! You keep this old fossil happy! Thank you. You are our favorite!
Great fun watching you both. Nice bottles, loved the baby milk. Mike, thought you were going to faint after that buckle plate. Nice you found a crotal bell for Lindsey. 👏👍😀
You better watch out Chigg. One of the days Mike is going to get you back for all times youve messed with or laughed at him. And it will be EPIC! I just hope he posts it for the Army to see it! LOL! Love it!
Chigg, you have more Fun with Mike than anyone i can remember in the last little bit, Great Bottle finds and the cool Crotal Bell, And alot of laughing ! Thanks Guys !!
I like that you clean up the shoreline of the creek after u dig, to make it safe and keep it looking nice after ur done hunting for bartles. It sets a good example for people :)
Hello Chigg, ya it was kinda fun to pry the paper disc out of the milk bottle before you could get a drink after the milkman left the six pack carrier on the front porch! Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 🙏😇👊
I want to get 20 or so ink bottles for use in my camper. Clean them real good and use them for spices. Furst McNess is from my old county seat. The owners worked for W. T. Rawleigh before going out on their own in 1908.
That was an awesome dig you and Mike had. Glad Mike didn't end up in the creek when he found that Railway buckle. LOL 😅 That is a great find. Congratulations Chiggs on those milks especially the cream top. Those are hard to find. You surely found many cool bottles. Glad you found the crotal bell for your Mrs. too. Enjoyed the dig and best regards to you and Mike !
Shame someone found your spot, but at least they didn't get everything, you still found some good treasures! Wow awesome finds! I remember the milkman picking up the milk bottles, and would leave the new filled ones in a small square box with a lid so the milk would stay cold. Ahh brings back memories for sure! I love old maple syrup bottles, some look so cool!. You didn't show the buckle cleaned up! It would be cool to see the best bottles found completely cleaned up! I wonder how many unique bottles you have found?
Just another Aquachigger fan enjoying a fun bartle adventure. Nice to see Mike adding his knowledge. Wondering if the recent digger found or went to the site because of your video? I know it's happened to you before.
Could only imagine what all is there. Once worked at an old farm in Maryland that had a spring house with a small stream that ran through it and actually was fairly cool inside. Enjoyed watching Chigg 👍
Chigg the had screw top bottles back in the late eighteen hundred. There's certain embossed whisky flasks from the late eighteen hundreds that are scew top, and narrow neck.
That Husbands bottle you dug is probably 1880s Oldest one you dug so far.You can find very old bottles in a 1930s era dumps. They cleaned their cellars and attics out then.
In the UK you can still get your milk delivered daily in glass bottles, there is also an upturn In organic dairy farms stating local deliveries again. The funny thing is we have birds overhere called a blue & great tit, that used to rip open the foil caps on the milk bottles to get to the cream at the top. I grew up on a dairy farm, & each morning would be sent to collect a miniature churn of milk (around 4 pints) from my dad for breakfast, & as a treat turn the paddle in the header tank off so we got pure cream.
I was born in the late 1950's and remember well the glass bottle and we a few of the milkman from different dairies. They wore a (blue or black?) uniform with a biled hat. I was surprised by our main milkman once when we saw him at a store, without his hat. Hadn't known he was bald. They all drove little trucks with a walkout door opposite the drivers door. You could get your milk, cream and butter from them. I think some also had eggs. I think it was around 1970 that they started mostly using waxed cardboard cartons and around 1972, most people started just getting their milk from the store. I know in 1972 we still had a metal box on are front steps the would help keep the milk from freezing for awhile and we painted it to match the color of our house, but don't remember using it around that time.
We still have milk delivery. He comes into our house and puts it in the fridge; same guy and his family delivering for 50 years. I live in a teeny tiny town 😊🎉

You've got a literal gold mine you could easily sell those bottles
What kind of shovel are you using? Is it just a folding military shovel?
Thanks for sharing!
I patiently wait for spring when aquachiggers return to creeks/rivers ...

Best discovery guys Very inspiring and motivating ...Excellent ...Good luck Greeting from Indonesian traditional gold prospecting 🇮🇩⚒️💎😍😍
I've never seen Mike that excited before! I think you would have to drag me out of that spot at the end of the day.
Beau you got almost as excited over those milk bottles as you do over belt buckles and canon balls.😊

If it hasn't been pointed out yet. The panel that had the word pink on it possibly could have been a Lydia E. Pinkhams medicine bottle.

Hey me too around 1960. The milkman would show up right about 5 or 10 minutes after Dad left for work 😕oh wow

Another awesome dig. The milks are wicked! Looking forward to the next one.
I love old bottles!
You never know what treasures will come out of a bottle dump.

The baby milk bottle was really cool. I think that upper swell is where the cream collected (you pointed that out at the end) eidt.
Fun adventure for sure. Hello from northeast Georgia.
WOW ! Thanks for taking pity on me aquachigger and not making me have to watch the pre-game garbage 😀
that pennsylvania RR belt buckles probably the best find.
Great video Chigg
I really like Mike and you out on adventures, you get along very well. Better than that Appalachian guy LOL
Mrs. Chig start telling him to find you a gold coin. . You can find anything in those dumps
It's amazing how the light bulbs aren't broken
That was interesting not seen anything like that in the uk.
We still had milk men and my dad delivered bread when I was little for a while.
Everyone is watching the Super Bowl but I’m here watching Chig dig bottles
Condolences for your loss of BoiBoi
Great finds! Do you collect old bottles?
In a previous video at that site you identified an old 20s - 30s radio tube as a four pin light bulb.
It happens. I was just looking at it a few minutes ago.
Howdy
Howdy
That old muffler looked like a buggy/carriage foot warmer.
I love riverside dumps. What state is it?
When I was little we had a milkman 😂 but he came in the house and put them in the fridge I remember the glass milk bottles
When I was a kid, we had the cardboard containers, and it always had a missing child on it.

@@happymack6605 Nice!
Apparently olives and bleach where popular, lol.
Father Johns is still in business. Its a cold medicine sold at Walmart.
If any of those broken pieces are Uranium glass I'd pay ya to send them to me.
Have you done a bottle cleaning video?
Is it legal to destroy a river bank? Seems like that trash helps keep things together?
Darned chicken wings made me miss the notification.
Totally worth it I bet.
@@aquachigger We will see. I was prepping them when I missed ya.
glass tube maybe a eye dropper .
Yep, you're right. Thanks
What's the trick to getting the bottles clean? Nobody ever shares this. Thanks
😊
Hi, do you still offer a discount code for us to buy the Garrett AT Pro?
👊🤩👍
The can with the paint looks like an oil filter.
Why did you save those broken pieces of green glass? Is their value in that type of glass?
Nah, it's just cool.
What to do with the bottles?
The father John’s is cough syrup I believe
😀
Wasn't me
The age of the bottles looks like 1940s. You kidding yourself if you think it's 1910 s. 1920 s
