what attracts foreigners to study different courses in the Philippines is it's mostly patterned and followed the US standards in which internationally recognized plus the fact they can learn English as a bonus added to their achievements, not to mention the affordability and multifaceted open culture.

Because Philippine med school is patterned to the American med school curriculum. The books used in Philippine med schools are from American authors and the medium of instruction is English. More likely than not, the main goal of some of the foreign medical students in the Philippines is to be an IMG Physician in the US. Philippine med schools are expensive (esp. for us Filipinos), but it is still way cheaper and easier to get into compared to the US.
I would also add that being an IMG Physician makes it hard to get into a lucrative medical residency such as Surgery. Not to mention, USMLE (US Physician Board Exam) is very expensive and lengthy as it could take years to pass all steps. That's why more Filipino Doctors who wish to work in the US would opt to become a Nurse or Medical Laboratory Scientists instead.

what attracts foreigners to study different courses in the Philippines is it's mostly patterned and followed the US standards in which internationally recognized plus the fact they can learn English as a bonus added to their achievements, not to mention the affordability and multifaceted open culture.
she has Filipino accents😀😘
No she does not. Have you been to Thailand?
She has. Only slip of Thai accent
Also one of the reasons as well is because studying in PH is easier to get into the application for USLE for Med. Most Indians who graduated in PH later pursue USLE. India has a very competitive med schools so the chance to be accepted is very tough. And some opt to chose PH bec it is easier to get into. Thais, meanwhile took the advantage of English language as medium of instructions and cheaper vs SG.
that's because we no longer have the National Entrance Exam that have been abolished in the past... also, there are so many school of medicine in the philippines compare to India or Thailand... that's why the quota is lesser... but try to get in to UP /AdMU/UST/DSLU, and see for urself if u can get in.... the competition there is insane....specially UP if ur NMAT is less than 95 percentile... u have a very slim chance of getting in... and if ur college GWA is not for latin honors.... u wont get a chance...
Have fun in your studies. Please travel to the other islands and Enjoy!
In Thailand, when they enter uni, they graduate with a medicine degree already. But in the Ph, they need a 4yr bachelor's degree, then enter medicine for another 4 yrs. So its longer here in Ph.
Exactly. And then ANOTHER 4 to 6 years for residency after medical school. It's actually longer in the Philippines.
Wait, i'm kinda lost. So she didnt graduate pre med in Thailand? And was able to enrol 4 years in PH medicine school?
So how is it shorter than PH then since PH is 4+4=8?
@@FrenchFili based on the video, she mentioned that she WAS already working as a nurse in Thailand prior to enrolling Med. So she must have BS Nursing back in Thailand, as her pre-med.
@@SingleAndAlmostBrokeinSurrey So it's shorter here because it is 4+4=8 rather than in thailand which is 4+6=10?
@@FrenchFili just got this online "The undergraduate medical education is 6 years long, after which an undergraduate MD graduate can practice as a certified general practitioner without any further training...", so 6 yrs with an undergrad course, they are considered graduate of medicine already
Beacause it's free ❤
Thailand generally, has a means of transportation called Songteaw, even in Bangkok they have it. Songteaw is a pick up truck improvished with a roof and seats on both sides like the Jeepney. Jeepney is much bigger than Songteaw, but in Thailand they have a bigger Songteaw which is a common transportation.
I think in order to get a medicine course you must take first a premed like nursing, medtech, pharmacy,
Cheaper n affordable.
Education is a privilege thus spend time wisely profitably
English proficiency. cheaper tuition. asian culture like thai.. and quality education on medical field. why do employers specially in US prefer Filipinos...
English proficiency.. skills. work ethic. culture.

Thai people studying in the Philippines started already way way back in 1950's.
True, the popular music band from thailand called carabao also study and grow up there i was curious what the hell carabao mean in thai turns out it a tagalog words which mean buffalo :v

affordable and english education.

MBBS curriculum is shorter than MD Curriculum since the latter has prerequisite degree prior to taking nmat some students has longer pre med courses like dentistry, optometry, veterinary med, engineering, physical and occupational therapy.

I remember Thais studying agriculture in UP LOS BANOS when finished their degrees went home and applied the technology by their govt now we are impirting rice from them all south east asian countries are the ones expirting agri products primarily rice ..these will be the doctors of filipinos ....they will flew to Thailand to consult with these dictors ..tourusm enhancement
Actually, it’s a total of 8 yrs in the Philippines exactly the same as the US. All other countries offering 6 yrs already includes the premed. And then we have a mandatory senior internship.
She said 4 years cos she is already a nurse she graduated college already so d medical proper is actually 4 yrs
@@ruthaldaba4556 I know that. Since she doesn’t speak English fluently, she made it appear that studying medicine in the Philippines is shorter for all prospective students. It’s actually for people who have finished a bachelor degree already like her. Those countries offering 6 years, it’s straight from high school. For her to go to those countries, I think she still has to start from scratch like she just graduated from HS meaning her bachelor’s degree won’t be recognized least of all, given credit.

@@ruthaldaba4556I think you’re right. In Engineering, other countries even in Europe will give credit for their degrees in Thailand. In the states and in the Philippines it’s 4 yrs Med proper after usually 4 yrs of Bachelors. In the Philippines, we even have 1 yr of post grad internship before residency.
Her english is perfect. We;; done,ms Thailand.
In the Philippines, there are public and private universities. Public universities are very competitive and require high intelligence for admission. Private universities may be easier to enter, but they typically have higher tuition fees. Also, you need a bachelor's degree first before you get accepted in medical school in the Philippines. Overall you need 10 years before you graduate medicine here.

There are three Medical schools in ILOILO CITY, Philippines. Iloilo City's Nursing schools are the oldest in the Philippines.
OK.
This only shows how high is the standard of education we have for them its affordability and quality plus English kowledgeability.
Filipino and Thailander are very familiar,
sik years (six years), raisin (reason) to be honest, once you graduated from a foreign country that's an additional point to that person because most of us here in the PH, pretty also want to study abroad for better job opportunity and credentials as well.
Her name isnt Thai name, thats Spanish name.
I think so. As a Thai, her name is not Thai.
How bout anne jukrajutatip her name is anne not thai
It's pratically the same reason why Iranians study dentistry in the Philippines. Philippines is the hub for affordable education in English.
First of all they don’t speak English in Thailand that’s the main reason why they want to study in the Philippines. So if they plan to work abroad after they finished school they have to be able to speak English.
this plus it's cheaper to study in the PHilippines than in native English speaking countries like Australia, Britain or US. I hope the quality is just as good.

Her accent look like Filipinos and not Thai and she called Thailand's in a Filipino accent "Tai Land". I think it's strange. Thailand has very good medical institutions. Why study in the Philippines? it's make sense If she study in Singapore or USA for better school than Thailand.
Yes I do agree. I am a Thai and I really annoying with her accent that she can't even spell Thai as Thai correctly. Her accents is really the Filipino accents. Tai Tai Tai ....
her T spellings is terrible.

Entrance exam to medical school in Thailand likes climbing the Everest, 1 in many thousand and only top score students can enter
Yes that’s very strange that Thai called Thailand or Thai as Tai. It’s so funny that her accent is too strong as Filipino. 😀
Guess she didn't pass the medical entrance exam in Thailand cuz the entrance exam criteria and standards were so high. This is cuz the medical curriculum in Thailand has very high entrance examination criteria and standards. Only the country's top students at each school can pass the exam and enter Thailand's medical curriculum. Those students are the cream of the crop.
Sometimes people missunderstood of how many yrs to study medicin.
I know that it takes 8yrs to study medicin..4yrs preparatory then another 4 yrs proper medicin then 1 yr practicant then 1yr review to take the board exam..

MD program is LONGER in the Philippines. A bachelor's degree is required BEFORE applying to a medical school. She got in because she has a BSN already, otherwise if a Thai applied in the Philippines medical school, they would be denied because Thai students only have high school diploma when they apply for medical school in Thailand. So MD is Thailand is 6 years after high school. Whereas MD in the Philippines is 8 years, MUCH LONGER than Thailand. The Philippines use the American system because Americans established all schools in the Philippines which is why Filipino doctors have a smooth transition to practice medicine in the USA after graduating from a Philippines medical school.
Wait, i'm kinda lost. So she's a Thai BSN + 4 Years in PH medicine?
So how is it shorter than PH then since PH is 4+4=8?
BSN in Thailand is only 2 years?
However thais have yearly quota on how many can take medicine and it could take many yrs until you can study med unlike in PH after premed you can take med anytime that is why they take Med even if it takes 8yrs in PH 4yrs premed 4yrs med
@@FrenchFilii think he was referring to a pre med course. In this case the girl already finished her BSN, a pre med course in Thailand, so she applied for a medical degree (medicine) here in the Philippines coz the MD only takes 4 years compared to Thailand which is 6 years. Her challenge though was in the system whereas top medical schools only require a limited number of students to allow the degree of medicine compared to the Philippines, thus those who wanted to study medicine can take many years before they can start to study because of the quota.
Wait what? I thought Spaniards established medical schools in the Philippines. Where did you get this information?
@@heavensky8706who told you that?

congratulations! thats true that it was cheaper and affordable cost of living. just take good care of your studies and make your family and friends proud of you, it doesnt mean cheaper coz no matter where your going to study if your not taking good care of your studies your not gonna reach nothing, hence there was a medical schools/university too that are expensive and high standards when it comes to academic standard, for be able to pass you really need to study harder , see De lassale university, Ateneo de manila, UP diliman UST. and others.
