    Yeah when you’re just learning how to shoot a handgun it’s very important to learn how to hold/grip the firearm especially for a beginner!!

    The feeling my wife got when I took her to the gun range was priceless. Literally turned around and said this how it feels. Said yes ma'am.

      Your wife and I probably had the same feelings. I was not ready at all!!! It was so freaking loud. But I’ll get the hang of it.

    I always set my target about 20 yards away, its a bit excessive for hand guns but I think it's the perfect distance for myself

    Glad to see more ladies going to the range 😁 When you have a chance checkout Los Altos range in Los Gatos. It's outdoors and it feels like you're on vacation there 🌲

    Yes ma'am. Learn to protect yourselves. Its just a tool. Most tools are loud. It may save your life. Great job. Keep training. We need more law abiding citizens owning and training. God bless

    It's loud because your inside too. Try and outside range. But ya in a home defense it's really louder.

    First time, you should have an instructor with you. Learning bad technique because you want to learn on your own isn’t the way to do it. You’re training for a life or death battle not to be cute. Your grip alone can chase a nasty double feed and guess what you won’t have a gun to use because I’m sure you never trained on clearing a double feed.

    • @Lifeofabusymom
      @Lifeofabusymom  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Definitely not here to be cute that’s ridiculous of you to say🙄An instructor would be very helpful in my case. I was really scared honestly I didn’t know it was going to be that loud.

      I think Luke was a tad bit harsh with this comment but there is 100% truth in what he said. Please seek formal training, there were very bad techniques by both you and the dude. Get those corrected ASAP if you plan on carryingg and using firearms

    I recommend you take a 101 pistol course because your grip is all wrong. There is a lot to learn about Firearms and the classroom is where you learn... not from some who doesn't know what they are doing themselves.

    • @ltx383
      @ltx383 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea grip is not optimal but if you know what you’re doing you will hit what you aim at. Hitting paper that doesn’t move doesn’t mean you will be accurate in the real world. Outdoor run and gun range will be a better test.

      @@Lifeofabusymom wasn’t tryna come at you! Just stuff I was told when I started. If you think about the gun, it wants to “flip” in your hands. You wanna get them aalllllllll the way up as far as you can. There are a lot of really reputable channels on here with “how to grip a pistol” you’ll be amazed how much lighter the recoil feels. Best of luck and thanks for exercising your 2A rights ❤️

      @@Lifeofabusymom also leaning forward just a little bit will help. I still catch myself leaning back bc it’s more comfortable but leaning forward puts more of your weight behind the pistol. Hopefully this helps some
