    This video is gold. In my decade or so working in agile practices and reading and watching "how to" videos, this has to be the one video I've come across that has given an overview of the scrum framework precisely with just the right level of depth. 5 stars.

    Thank you for a well detailed lesson. However you mentioned that the daily scrum( 6:27…) should answer three questions. I understand that these (set questions)have been removed from the newly updated scrum guide to avoid scrum being too prescriptive. Can you clarify this? Or do you mean the meeting should centre around this but not to answer the questions specifically. Thanks

    • @scrumacademy
      @scrumacademy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you OT for your feedback. Happy you like it. The team members can still use these questions as a guide, but they are no longer required by the Scrum framework. Instead, the team should focus on regularly communicating and coordinating their work and discussing any issues or obstacles that are impeding their progress. Other activities the development team can do during their daily stand-up include:
      - Sharing updates on their current tasks and the status of their work
      - Identifying any dependencies or challenges that need to be addressed
      - Coordinating their efforts and making plans for the next steps
      - Discussing progress towards the sprint goal and identifying any adjustments that need to be made.

    Beautifully explained. May i say however, in the real world, teams do not have the time to follow process. People are overworked, overbooked and unable to attend the daily meetings let alone do their work. I've been a PM officially for 20 years. And unofficially even more. The other factor is funding or resources disappearing and the favorite, company management and upper management politics. Anyhow we have to keep trying.

    • @scrumacademy
      @scrumacademy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your insightful feedback! You're right, real-world challenges like overwork and company politics often make it tough to follow Scrum to the letter. Your 20+ years of experience as a PM adds a lot of weight to this perspective. While it's not always easy, the core principles of Scrum can still guide us toward better project management. We appreciate your input and agree, we have to keep trying!

      If you want to become a Professional or a Certified Scrum Master, you have two options. There are two international recognized Certification organizations (Scrum Alliance and Scrum.org).
      Since Scrum Alliance has a more practical focus, you need to take a 2-3 days live training. You can do it all over the world and we offer some in english at our Website at: www.agile-academy.com/en/scrum-master/certified-scrum-master/.
      Scrum.org is more technical focused, but you can try to get the Professional Scrum Master Certification without any training before and book the PSM I assessment at: www.scrum.org/professional-scrum-master-i-certification
      If you want to train before the PSM I Assessment, you can either search at Scrum.org for a live or online Training, or you can take a look at our premium online self-paced training for Scrum Master / Agile Leader at: lms.agile-academy.com/en/courses/scrum-master-agile-coach/. There you will get a Certification from Sohrab and can afterwards do the PSM I exam.

    Strange angle to start explaining SCRUM talking about making stakeholders happy, within a budget

    • @sohrabsalimi
      @sohrabsalimi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think it's strange... what is the point if we can't make stakeholders happy and don't have discipline in dealing with our budget. We can negotiate on Scope, but budgetary discipline is important to make an organisation work.
