I like time-lapse in the video. There you can see how something is created and you can pack more into one episode. The enclosure has become beautiful. Fits perfectly!😊
I love your videos. I enjoy watching you create beautiful enclosures for these animals. I do miss seeing more of the zoo management aspect of the game. Managing the employees, the visitors needs, and getting to check up on all the animals and how they interact are some of my favorite parts of the game. I loved how you took us around the zoo in first person view in one of the previous videos. Thanks for all the hard work you put into your zoo and the videos. It really shows.
Fantastic enclosure Matty. I feel like it fits in nicely to the area. Timelapse are fine with me, as long as you continue to share your thoughts while including them. I am personally not a fan of long timelapse with just music. I think we can all relate to the pathing versus barrier struggles. Although, sometimes I think it’s fun to figure out how to get it to do what you want it to, when it doesn’t cooperate from the start. Another great episode!
Love the faux rock walls, I did something similar for my polar bear enclosure :) Great job covering up the stairs too-if you want the pattern to be less repetitive, you could rotate some of the panels. Also, I really need to start using the bald cypress pieces, they look so good! Also, I did research on the plural of platypus for my last video! Apparently, it's technically (linguistically) "platypodes" because it has Greek origins and the plural of "pous" is "pode". BUT that didn't catch on and, while it would be nice to pluralize to "platypi" with the Latin plural ending, the correct plural is actually "platypuses". Both "platypi" and "platypuses" are commonly used, but you can also use "platypus" as a plural.
Whoohoo that was my comment/tip about the donation bins. So cool that you not just actually used it, but also mentioned it! But yeah, for this zoo it's not really needed anymore hahah. That underwater viewing part is so cool! Totally agree, the stairs in this game look bad, you fixed it up very nice👍🏾 This won't come as a surprise, but I'm a big fan of timelapses. I do not like jump cuts, because I want to see how something gets build. Can't believe this is already vid 18 in the series! Still remember how it all started with the awesome rock formation/wolf enclosure. Looking forward to the next one✌🏾🦖
I really love the inclusion of the small animals to fill in gaps in the Zoo. Looks great! BTW You can also use the really nice Mulch pieces to place at the bottom of planter areas for the realistic soil bases. Comes in various shapes and sizes as well for small or larger areas.
i do like the mulch pieces but i wanted something completely different and unique that not many others would use lol - i will try and use some mulch around the zoo before the end though
Its somehow comforting to see you struggle with the pathing at the underwater viewing area same as I did. But I love the result! I don't mind the time lapses as long as they are not super fast as some you tubers do. Loving this series!
A trick for pathing for underwater sections is to stop at the upper level, create a couple of paths on the lower level then turn on flatten to terrain, then join the lower to the upper path and it will automatically create a slope going down so it looks nice and neat and feels realistic… hope that makes sense and good luck with future builds!
I really appreciate you making content for console players! I have such struggles with pathing (tried to make a two-story building for staff facilities… what a failure!)
In the planter bit at the front you could of put a sign for them like the big letters platypus in the middle of it x and I love all your videos the slow talking through it all and the time lapses they are quite therapeutic to watch tbh I like it seeing it all come together it’s great xx
Omg I love this, I haven't even dared to try a underwater habitat. With people looking at the hippos your going to get bad thoughts on the habitat because the guest can see them, there's no way to stop it aswell. Keep up the good work love your videos
I don't know the correct term for multiple platypi/platypuses in a group is, but I know a baby platypus is called a puggle. Also, if you have the periwinkles and you use the one that it's just the stems without the flowers, you can turn it upside down for some faux duckweed in water. I enjoy timelapses, not so much jumpcuts. But I do understand a need of convenience.
It’s nice following this series and see the zoo become how it is. Sometimes during your building I think, what is he doeing. But every time it comes right and looks amazing. I should try hat also. I delete to fast my things before making it better. About the timelaps I don’t mind, but it’s nice to see it on video even it go fast(er) but if I dont mistake a lot of the station we didn’t see. And so it’s more difficult to know how to do. Keep up this series thx for all the time you use
I know the feeling. I attempted to make an underwater viewing area in my sandbox zoo and the Terran got all jacked up and then my paths wouldn't connect. Finally was able to do it but I was ready to throw my controller as well!!!
The spacing issue might be because you have too many of them in the habitat, in the zoopedia booklet you can actually adjust how many adults and how many children you have and that will tell you how much space you need for all of them. I think that might be the issue
Love the time lapses, don't really see anyway around doing them since I personally tune in to see the builds! And can I just say, whenever I think I've spent long time on a habitat I watch one of your vids and think I didn't spend enough time at all Lol! Also as a content creator you've given me some ideas for own zoo, so in case you ever see one of my vids I promise I'm not stealing your ideas 😂
very good videos! love the zoo, will you ever start a console sandbox series? im struggling with the building part like how to make all the custom structures and im looking to get inspiration
this series is a sandbox series but i kept a lot of the settings of franchise mode to make it challenging, the next series will prob be a sandbox series without the restrictions i think
I like time-lapse in the video. There you can see how something is created and you can pack more into one episode.
The enclosure has become beautiful. Fits perfectly!😊
+1 I really like the timelapses
aw thanks so much melle

awwww thanks so much megan, ill do another tour in first person again soon and ensure i keep doing welfare checks on the existing animals

Another great episode!
thanks so much greg, ill bear that in mind, the next episode is a big timelapse again!
This is quality. The patience & creativity you have to do things like this is amazing. Brilliant series, thanks for uploading!
awwww thanks so much darkside (love the name btw) i really appreciate that
I personally do like watching the checkups on the animals that have been added to the zoo so far.
ill make sure to keep on top of them lol, i think ill do a big check in ep20
The platypus is not the only mammal that lays eggs, the Echidna is another Australian aminal that also lays eggs, they are classed as Monotremes
i completely forgot about that! Whoops!

oh i totally forgot to rotate the pieces on the stairs! Thats amazing advice, thanks so much sparrow
That’s always so relaxing and nice to see you build enclosure. Thank you for your videos! 😊
awww thanks so much Tiff, i really appreciate that

ikr - only feels like yetserday i was using them rocks to cover up the wolf enclosure! Time flies!
Loving this series!
As for the timelapses, i like them! I love seeing the enclosures come together
awwww thanks so much dino, glad u like them

thanks so much kreek, yeah the rage was real!

oh wow thats actually really helpful!
I really appreciate you making content for console players! I have such struggles with pathing (tried to make a two-story building for staff facilities… what a failure!)
2 storey buildings are an absolute nightmare lol, i dont want to attempt that again, still have ptsd from the first attempt!
I always wondered what the shapes were for in the terrain part and now it makes so much sense. Thanks buddy, definitely gonna try make one later😁
Glad I could help! i hope you have better luck than i did as i got so annoyed lol
I'm so happy that your chanel is finally getting the attention it deserves! 🍻
what a lovely comment, thank you so much!
In the planter bit at the front you could of put a sign for them like the big letters platypus in the middle of it x and I love all your videos the slow talking through it all and the time lapses they are quite therapeutic to watch tbh I like it seeing it all come together it’s great xx
i actually tried that but it didnt look quite right tbh lol
Love that u put my idea in the park!
hahaha hopefully it was what you imagined

omg a puggle! Thats the most adorable thing ever!

lol ur not the only one who thinks that, as im building i often sit and think what the hell is this?
I know the feeling. I attempted to make an underwater viewing area in my sandbox zoo and the Terran got all jacked up and then my paths wouldn't connect. Finally was able to do it but I was ready to throw my controller as well!!!
i very almost needed a new controller (and window)
The platypus isn't the only mammal to lay eggs. The other one to do so are the 4 species of echidnas.
oh no i completely forgot about that!
I like the time lapse videos. again your enclosures are amazing!!!
thanks so much Dawn, i really appreciate that
And again Matty is back with another awesome enclosure. Love it😁🙌🏼
awww thanks so much kiki

i think it was, i think ive fixed it now, thanks so much

In which video can you see how you build that three station? It's very cool. Can you pass the link to that video?
im really sorry but i built the station off camera im sorry
Loving the series matty....changing the settings I feel would be worth it to allow a little less lag though hardly notice any
the lag seems to have stabilised again now thankfully!
Matty just upgraded to gold member. love all your videos .also sent you a thanks
Ur amazing! I’m working hard on the next episode today! Trying something really ambitious for the next build!
Where the hell are these little stone on the custom walls come from? Never saw them anywhere????
they are the small faux rocks, u can find them in the nature rock tab
Omg SO cute! 🚿
so happy you liked it
You are amazing!
awww thanks so much jenny
Omgggg amazing habitat

I think the first one was better to where you can look at them from a multiple viewpoint
i just didnt like it, i dont think it was up to standard
Thanks
Omg Christina!! Thank you so so much! I really appreciate that 🥰
How did you get the platypus on console I can’t get it
