At 39 and 47, I'm taking a CB and another IOL in some order. Then in round 3 I'm taking a shot on Rattler. I believe he's got the tools to develop well under Daboll. Between free agency and the first three rounds, you've added a WR1, reconstructed the IOL, signed EDGE2, drafted a CB2, and drafted a potential franchise QB.

Mcdaniels is not the problem but no reason to pay Tua, in fact Mike is a good coach and made an offense that works to Tua strength, throwing the ball quick and thats why they went and got all the fast guys so Tua can make quick decisions. Miami needs a better QB, who can actually go through progressions. They need to try and draft MPJ, immediate upgrade as a passer and would have a hay day with all those recievers and quick running backs.
My issue with the Pats not taking a QB is that this is supposed to be a good year for drafting starting QB's. If we got the 3rd pick with no O-line or outside receivers, I can't imagine we'll be back at 3 next year with some of those holes filled. And even if we are, there's no guarantee that the QB class will be as good.
Yeah I don't like the argument that they'll be back at the top of the draft next year anyways. It's certainly possible but even if you go for three wins you can't guarantee Carolina and Washington won't get two wins. I feel like you just got to pick the best quarterback available. At least 25 of his sacks came in under 2 seconds, and his average time to throw was 19th of 34 QBs with at least 200 attempts, ahead of Mahomes, Hurts, Fields, Wilson, Stroud, Flacco, Lamar, Purdy, Allen, Cousins & Geno. At least 4 of his INTS went through the hands of, or bounced off our WR/TE, AT LEAST 4 more came while he was being hit. His 1st season as a Starter was better than Josh Allen, Matt Stafford, Trevor Lawrence, Drew Brees, Derek Carr, Eli and Peyton Manning's by most metrics. Was better than Cousins through his 1st 17 games, He had a better QB Rate & Completion % than Andrew Luck in his 1st season. And was more productive than Jalen Hurts' 1st season as a starter, even though Jalen had the best OL in the NFL, Great TEs, a strong run game and an OC who got a HC job from how well he insulated and developed Jalen with smart play calling. Just like the LC game being an away game for us in Germany because of how KC schedule required it to be a home game for them because of their other games that had to be home and away.
