240 to USB converter plug suffices, or a 12 volt to USB converter, why hack your van to bits ?

Hi Steve, everyone has different requirements and I'm glad a normal plug works for you. We also go off grid camping and we don't have an inverter so this wouldn't work for us which is why this was added, it also make use of a spare socket.
