  • In this tutorial we make a basic knife lanyard using paracord. Consisting of snake knots, an optional bead and the knife lanyard knot, this lanyard is a good starting point for making knife lanyards.

    First-timer here. I completed this, including the diamond knot at the end in about ten minutes, by following along with what you were doing. It turned out absolutely perfect! Many thanks!

    Easily the best demonstration of how to tie a snake knot. Hand motions alone give away so much dexterity which improves the snake knots shape. And I loved the easy demonstration of how to tie what I would regard as a diamond knot but the name doesn't matter, it's how elegant and uncluttered the display that produces the knot provides. I give this expert the highest rating. Thank you so much for making each knot easy to create after your straightforward and easy to follow demonstration.

    Despite the comments from a few-who may be best labelled ‘knotheads’-your presentation was well done and the result was very nice. The knot at the end is a struggle, but as many know TH-cam offers a way to alter the speed of the clip. Slowing it down will aid those-myself among them-who were awarded too many thumbs at birth. Keep up the good work!

    Took me almost two hours for the finishing diamond knot. I didn't know how to tighten it to the bead so I kept undoing it then finally actually listening to your tightening three times and it took me three times lmao.

    This is actually called a fob. A lanyard has a large enough opening to fit your hand through but a fob is meant to be decorative or for folders it gives you something to grab onto in case the knife falls deep into your pocket

    • @meow-ih7mr
      @meow-ih7mr 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Actually the word lanyard in it original definition is -a short piece of rope meant for securing something. So it could as such be considered a lanyard however I will give it to you that today's modern era of definitions says it is meant to wrap around something as in the neck or wrist. But if modern times can redefine the word then I don't see why this fella can't call it whatever he wants even though every single person that has viewed this video (besides you) knows this item to be a knife lanyard. Keep up the good work Paracord guild.

    I wish you would have left it flat in the end. But once you've pickwd it up and moved it i cant see where exactly youre going. I think it is obvious where you're going but I keep getting it wrong.
    Thank you, though.

      Right. I watched the video on 0.25 speed and I was finally able to get the snake knot down but I will just have to keep watching the end. I’m using 275 cord which, I think, makes it a little harder
