I went from a blood analysis showing only a vitamin D deficiency and an elevated cholesterol level to a blood test showing that I was in stage 2 renal failure after being on Atorvastatin 40 mg/day for 3 months. There was no other change to my diet or lifestyle during the period, after which I also developed odorous urine, an itchy back, numb toes in both feet and a severe and painful case of cramps in the calves of both legs.
Dear doc.. There is a possibility that fish oil omega fatty acid can effect the risk of diabetes.. Or only statin can make side effect.. Thank you Doc and God bless...
