Crochet Yoga Mat Bag Pattern

Crochet Yoga Mat Bag Pattern:
Crochet Hook: N/15/10MM
Yarn: 2 strands of size 4 year, or 1 strand of size 5, bulky yarn.
1 Stitch marker (can use safety pin or scrap yarn)
*NOTE: for this we are going to work two strands simultaneously as if they were one strand.
Attach yarn to crochet hook using a Magic Circle.
Row 1: CH 1, then place 12 DC inside MC.
Row 2: Working in the GAPS between the stitches, place 2 DC between each st in Row 1. Use a stitch marker to mark the 1st st, as this is a spiral pattern (24 total s).
Row 3: Working in the GAPS between the stitches, place 1 DC in the 1st gap, then 2 DC in the next gap, alternating around the row (36 total st).
Rows 4 - 26: Place 1 DC between each st in each row to build the height of the bag.
Finish by placing 75 - 100 chain stitches. Pull out a long loop and cut a long tail, but don’t tie off your yarn. Weave the chain rope in and out of every two stitches in the last row, then reinsert your crochet hook in the loop and attach the chain rope near the bottom of your bag. I like to work around two double crochets and place 1 SL st, then tie off my yarn. From here, I like to pull my two tails to the inside of the project (through different stitches) and then tie them together a few times. Hide your tails on the inside of the bag.
