I've been doing mosaic knitting for a while but have only run across the simple chart. Now I'm thinking "bring it on" 😁. I love learning new things. Thank you. I was wondering how you handle the jog in a sock like that where the striping is so frequent. I'll check your video list as you do have lots of really great tutorials!
I looked through your videos, and didn't see one showing this, but please, could you show a tutorial on using those needles to do socks? I have tried magic loop, and end uo with ladders, no matter the cord style, and dpns really don't like me. I love this video, and are going to look for your sock pattern, but really want to work with the needles shown in this video ❤❤❤
Check out this video, th-cam.com/video/NSN6p6HZC3A/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared. I demonstrate small circumference knitting on 5 different needle styles and using 2 circular needles is one of the styles.
Not really. Not every color pattern works with mosaic knitting, but if you want to play around a little, here's a cool website that let's you design your own mosaic pattern and confirm that it actually works, www.pakin.org/mosaicknit/.
Is it possible to make/transform fair isle pattern into mosaic knitting? If so - would you make a video on How to? I like your very clear and not too slow explanation.. 👍🏻❤️ Thx 🤗
Great question! Most (if not all) mosaic color patterns could be transformed into fair isle, but very few fair isle patterns can be transformed into mosaic because of the math/geometry of the color placement. If you ever want to try converting a pattern, I found a cool online charting tool that lets you know if a design will work in mosaic, www.pakin.org/mosaicknit/.
The very first row does not have a dark color to slip. What did you do to slip that dark color? Did you replace that dark slip with a knit stitch or something else?
If there is no block before the row, how do you know which color you should be knitting with?? Most charts don't have that block before the row. I have no trouble executing the actual knitting, but get confused about which color to begin the row with.

@@thechillydog Thanks bunches! I love your teaching style-very clear and concise!
Love your video. Is there a way to take any chart and turn it into a slip mosaic knit pattern?

Could you make a Twisted Stitch video I just got a book about it. No More cable needle for me.😍😎😁 Thanks
I'll add that to my topic idea list. Thank you. 💕

Can you use a mosaic chart for double knitting too?
Hmm... I have never tried, and it may depend on how the chart is written out, but I think it would be possible.
