    I appreciate you showing the settings for each sound as you play. Head shaking, getting into the groove is entertaining as well! Great Job!

      James Steele very impressive tones for a digital amp, and very affordable.
      BlackStar have done it again! \m/

    No longer should you feel inadequate with a low budget amp.
    The guitar-face really sold me in this video. lol

    Hey Lee I just watched this video and I liked the way you explained all the effects, I own one of these and I think they sound great for a little amp

    Great review, you play really well. I am going to buy one of these amps, I'm sick of the digital noise issues using amp modelling software on my PC...
    The sound at 8:24 is pretty much what I'm looking for...

    I wish you could have shown the different types of reverb settings. I like the very warm sounding of this little amp, and its capability to record with no need to buy an interface for such a purpose.
    what Gibson SG model you were using? usually the dot inlay is for the SG Special, but the standard has a trapezoid inlays. I just wonder
    thanks again, wonderful!

    Great review by a great guitar player and I like that you are showing the settings. I just ordered an Epiphone 1966 G-400 Pro Cherry together with this amp for my daughter. :-) It's not a Gibson guitar like yours but I hope the setup will work fine.

    I'm getting sound cuts when I use OD1, OD2 functions. Does anybody know what the reason is?

    • @LeeButlerGuitarist
      @LeeButlerGuitarist  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It's because the amp has a built in noise gate applied to OD 1 & 2 as a factory preset.
      You can only access the noise gate settings via the Blackstar Insider software when the amp is connected to your computer via USB. Hope this helps!

    I know I'm a bit late to the party but would this amp be suitable for metal?? Just starting out and just recently bought a schecter omen 6 that I'm really happy with.

    It sounds way too digital for me in the high gain settings :/ . But I might still consider buying it for clean sounds .. I have a question if you plug in an MP3 player in the aux in will the audio be in stereo ?

    Is this a good first amp? I’m thinking of getting the squier bullet strat with this since both are within my budget. Not looking for killer tones but just something adequate to get me started in electric guitar. (I have background in acoustic guitar) Do let me know!

      Hey Man,
      This is a great first amp with loads of great tones, but Blackstar have bought out a version 2 of this amp since I demo it,
      so check that out as well (see link) both are awesome amps, let me know how you get on!

      @@yzy99 I picked up the V2 and I couldn't be happier. It's perfect for bedroom levels, super flexible to get the "sound in your head", practice with iPod, tones and effects galore. I suggest you jump into the Blackstar Insider for increased controls. I also have the TVP 15 and LOVE that amp.
      Enjoy mate, and up the hammers! 👍🏻

    nice demo! I wonder how this little guy would behave with real stomp pedals... would it have any kind of "conflict", since modelling amps are nothing else than multi fx stomp pedals with speakers...

      No just turn effects off and use a clean channel or use a dirty channel and use low gain on a distortion pedal

    Hmmm, I get som background hiss from my id core 10, I guess all are having that, or? Difficult to tell how much is acceptable.

    • @LeeButlerGuitarist
      @LeeButlerGuitarist  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      MrMakatech first, thank you for your kind comments,
      You will get a little bit of background hiss, but you shouldn't notice it when playing.
      Also the more gain you use on the amp will increase hiss or noise,
      but if use the built in noise gate, which you access via the Insider Software.
      it should sort out any hiss/background noise issue.
