The Observatory's Silver Jubilee | 25 years learning from each other

The European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies began in 1998 as a response to the huge changes sweeping Europe.
It brought together analysis and experience and generated evidence to support policy-makers, and the agencies working with them, to improve health systems and health for the people of Europe. It also brought together a remarkable group of Partners.
Over the past quarter of a century it has never stopped. It has continued to observe, to compare and to act as a bridge - brokering knowledge between the worlds of policy, practice and theory - to help ensure no one is left behind.
