Seeing a lot of reviews on Two Suns, gotta get some. Liked the flow on this vid & you handled a large number of knives smoothly giving out a bit of info on each. Covering a wide range of prices is a big plus too !

What's so funny is that several years ago when I started to get into knives is that this kind of video was being made about Ganzos!!! It's so great that we now have so many knives available at so many price ranges and ways to purchase them....and knife designers and manufacturers that want to outdo each other.
Yeah there was a lot of controversy with Ganzo using other companies designs Twosun has all there own desigers, I honestly thought twosun was a company like Ganzo at first just because the name sounded like it 😆
@Bernd DasBrot kershaw Bareknuckle, knockout, leek or any of the launch and other usa made kershaws, also spyderco has a few under a 100 like the para3 lw or manix2 light w, Buck has a couple my favorite is the Marksman, Ferum Forge has some but they are made in china and the Assembly is done in their factory i believe, but kershaw has a bunch of great usa made kershaws even sone in m390 that are still under a 100$
I have quite a few TwoSun's as well. Fit and finish has never been in question, but I do know some of their older models with super steels weren't performing so well. I did a cut test on the TS128 (S90V) and got 300 cuts of 3/8" rope before it would snag when slicing paper.. Nowhere near what S90V should be doing. Much more recently, I did the same test on a newer S90V blade from them (TS187) and it did a HELL of a lot better at 730 cuts. Also checked an M390 blade from them (TS182) and got 500 cuts before the edge gave up the ghost. I have some of their older M390 models, but haven't got around to cut testing any of those yet (they're mostly smaller slipjoints). I feel half silly, and half a douche for mentioning it, but I did start a channel that covers a lot of knife content including these cut test results a little while ago. Totally agree with you. TwoSun is undeniably on another level than anybody else in the production knife world. The quality you get for the price you pay is ridiculous.
Went to my local knife store today and they had some TwoSun knives. Really liked how they felt so was looking at some videos to learn more about them. Definitely going to go back and get one of them. Thanks for the super information video.

I’m just finding this video. I slept on the TwoSun brand and recently got my first TwoSun. The TS269. Frickin mind blown how awesome this thing is. I can’t put it down.
A couple of months ago, I took a mule deer with archery equipment in southern Arizona, the knife I had on me was a well used T.S 16 in D2 . No special blade grind , just what I was able to keep using a DMT Fine diamond stone & a stropp, well deer down gutted it , cut up through the sternum, skinned it , wedged the tip of the blade into some bone joints , quartered it & purposely went hard at some neck bone to test the D2's abilities. End result , a somewhat dull blade with no chips or rolled edge . Washed it up several hours later , spent about 5 minutes on the stone & stropp , some oil in the pivot beeswax on the blade & it was back to shaving hair. A lot of people talk crap about Chinese blades but this one in particular has certainly stood up to some pretty heavy use & abuse. I have other knives by major brands that are considered to be well above this one in quality costing 3,4 maybe 5 times more, but my TS 16 beater is the one that gets the most pocket time & use. Good tool.

I think this model is overlooked for all that it features in such a robust lightweight package.. rides in the pocket like a dream.. 0 drag.. no other blade this size I carried comes close.. finger choil.. thumb ramp..thumb groove.. great deep carry pocket clip.. blade sits lower than the handle so great at food prep.. very unique modern look.. latley.. its just hard to pick up something else to carry.. great job Mr.Wong.. great job! would love to see your review on it! 😆 im trying to convince people not to bid so much as if thats easy to say, this knife is worth atleast 250$ but dont pay more than 115$ 😆 lucky the prices always go down after a couple of months unlike other companies that always seem to go up

Neeves Knives i wanted the micarta but being as its my first ts i didnt want to spend a whole bunch on it. If its everything i am hoping the micarta will be in my near future. @@NeevesKnives Can you recommend someone to anodize the Maverick's scales? Stassa23 does pretty good ano work, but he doesn't feel he's good enough to do other people's work at present. I have no idea who to trust to do ano work.
The longest ive ever waited was one month the fastes was under a week, they are usually 2 to 3 weeks but they always say 1 to 2 months just incase, its usually there with in 4 weeks ive never waited longer, imho try to get the models above 100 the higher the number the newer the model they go in order and they are in the high 200s rt now getting close to 300
I said it several years ago when I bought my first TwoSun - a TS31. Value. That's what you get with TwoSun knives. The quality, precision workmanship, materials, fit and finish are equal to and frequently exceeding the quality of knives costing several times as much. Take a current production TwoSun, put a high-end makers name on it... you'd swear you had a $600 (or more) knife in your hands.
My latest obsession is twosun. Everything just feels great. Only “issue” I’ve ever had was was that their pivot screw comes loose after open/closing it a bunch. EASY fix with locktite.
Definitely an easy fix with lock tight ive personally only had thst issue a couple times with ts, but many knives of even higher value go the same way, a lot of people say thats from tight tolerance
What are some of your favorite models so far? I have only bought one so far and it was the ts187 w/ cpm s90v, titanium and marbled carbon fiber scales over the titanium liners
I love the TwoSuns that I currently own. I have a TS264 (M390) on the way from China. Maybe I'll get it before Christmas. I didn't get an amazing deal on it, but it was still under $200.
I just got my Shockwave yesterday. Sweet knife and great action out of the box. It's even better now after disassembling, cleaning, lubing, and locktighting. Curious if you feel the same way now some months later?

@@albertkelly7129 well actually all their testing has come back great except the m390 and s90v and the newer stuff is starting to improve, someone else in the comments even said that there cut tests on s90v went from 200 something cuts to 700 something cuts, and ive even noticed a difference on the older stuff vs the new stuff, which is pretty typical for knife companies when they first start using a steel

Two Sun made a really cool small razor sharp knife that I really like because I have tricked many people asking them close the knife with the best of their ability and they have not been able to close the knife. 😆 As mentioned the knife is a folder which is very small and razor sharp small silver stainless cleaver with the hidden notch for closing but no belt clip? What a shame! All of the Two Sun knives come with the oil in the plastic and extremely sharp. The action on these knives is incredible.
love this vid wish i would have seen it when it came out , most knives are not worth anywhere near what these companies are charging now (2023) when I got into the hobby the pm2 wasn't around yet and now they'll run you a car payment
Two sun has given me hope to have some real nice knives at fair prices . People knock the oriental knife makers but fail to remember they have been making blades over there for thousands of years and generations of knife makers have dwindled but not all of them . You know what another name to watch is Katsu 👍👍
Can’t seem to find this out. Can you help? Are there any Twosun knives with a reversible pocket clip? I have a TS138 and they seem to mill out the pocket clip seat so it can’t be flipped.
I have a bunch of Twosun and haven’t gotten a bad one yet. Great buy for the money I have $120.00 Twosun as good if not better than some $300 and $400 dollar knifes I have. There the Canik pistols of the knife world. You get way more than what you pay for.
The 16 is an interesting knife for sure. the blade geometry on it is quite wide though (I have the OG G10 version). It all comes down to what you're cutting though. It can get bound up when slicing through cardboard or apples or whatever... but I also have the same complaint albeit less severe with the Benchmade 940 that's wildly popular.

Love my forty some TwoSuns. Once they kick the eBay selling, provide base MSRP's and market to distributors TS will be taken seriously by the entire knife community, as they already have the quality and innovation to compete with Bestech, Kizer, WE and Reate, IMO....
I agree but still think ebay is the best way to go anywhere else you will have to pay asking price instead of us making the market, I like making the market and getting the knives for what im willing to spend instead of paying a middle man 20%

@@NeevesKnives Yes, eBay is a mix of getting a decent price as well as incredibly raising prices through mindless, wanton, bidding to get a new model at any cost. Every other manufacturer sets an MSRP, which is a starting value level set.

There is a hit and miss thing with the Twosun deals on eBay, as some bidders go a bit crazy. Still, I’ve gotten a lot, I never overbid and I am usually just checking at the last second, though I follow some offerings just to see the bidding patterns. The last 15 seconds can be interesting. I have contacted the 2 main Twosun sellers on eBay and they have both been very responsive. Twosun was willing to look deeper at the shipping delays after the COVID-19 pandemic, including contacting the vendors. Or those new to dealing with Chinese vendors, there are many excellent and responsive vendors, but there some that are not as good. Regardless, shipping can be slow, especially when flights get cancelled. Most of these shipments are carried as cargo in passenger planes and when travel slows, delivery times increase. Twosun actually removed their products from eBay until the logistical problems were solved. Unlike other Chinese makers, they were aware of the goodwill losses if delivery is delayed.
There back on ebay as far as i know i just won one a few weeks ago and lost one like two weeks ago they were slow a couple months ago but they are pretty quick rt now all my knives have been with in 3 weeks or less. The longest ive ever waited was a full month the shortest was less than a week
I love TwoSun knives for me and gifts for friends and family. They are improving at a rapid pace. So many great designers. Usable knife at affordable prices. Lookout knife makers you are getting challenged.

The one i was talking about was the ts264, but we were not able to pay that otherwise we would have gotten it before, we only have certain days a month that we can spend $ on knives, our budget is very small but the community definitely helps us out a lot
I’m reminded of a story I once heard as a kid. A group of people were selected for a wine tasting. Each person was given two glasses of wine to taste. No information was provided about either wine except that one glass was poured from a $10 bottle, and the other from a $100 bottle. At the end of the test, each taster unanimously agreed that the $100 wine was better. At this point it was revered to them that the wine taste has been a social experiment regarding perception of value, and that every single glass in the entire experiment was poured from the exact same bottle. So the phrase “You get what you pay for” isn’t 100% accurate all of the time.
Hard to say, possibly a burnt edge which all production knives can have from the sharpening done at the factory thats why its good to sharpen the knives when you get them, but it could be from a couple different things including heat treat

We will never see another knife brand with the design variety & innovation than we are right now with TwoSun. Oh they have clunkers alright, but that's part of the fun. They should be called TooFun.
I don't buy TwoSuns because I loathe eBay and every time I review one, the fans bash me for getting the wrong one or not liking it enough. Also... Too many models and can't keep up. Not worth my time. They do make some fantastic models, but that's what it is for me.

I like some of the twosun knives along with civivi, we and arcform. But I can not get past where all these knives are made. I can't give them my money no matter how much I like some of these knives and the value you get for the money.
I understand, there's many knife companies that are in the usa that build there knives overseas, so a majority of the money stays in the 🇺🇸 but I do get it

I have cold steel folders from Taiwan, spydercos from Japan and Colorado, benchmades from Oregon and Emersons, protechs and microtechs from wherever they're made in the US. But nothing from China and it's definitely not because I don't like some of them!

Best knife dealz in the world are TwoSun. TwoSun is for the highly intelligent. People of lesser intelligence don't mind wasting tons of money on the name or the popularity of some knives. You could take most TwoSun knives and put a popular name on them and charge up to three times more and folks wouldnt even know the difference because TwoSun uses the highest of quality materials with slick action, excellent fit and finish just like their high end competitors. TwoSun is for people who want the best knife without having to shell out three times the price, or even 10 times the price for basically the same thing. Like I said, TwoSun is not a sign of cheap, TwoSun is a sign of intelligence !
I completely agree with you! Why would anyone with half a brain pay so much when you can honestly buy something great for a lesser price? We are going through hard times am I right? Another aspect that the Two Sun company does really good is the finish. Whenever I receive a Two Sun knife I get a razor sharp knife. I have bought brand new knives thar come straight out of the box in their plastic or whatever and the knife is from a famous company excluding Spyderco and I have to sharpen the blade at least a little.
Good video. 1 thing I've found about TwoSun & the nay sayers is that a good portion of the nay sayers refuse to believe that TwoSun actually does use the high end steels that they claim to use even though there's been tests done on the steels that prove they are legit. (*Side note* I now have MC Hammer stuck in my head.) Their customer service is pretty good as well.
So true, but other companies are realizing that they are starting to be taken seriously and they are lowering there prices a bit in some cases to be closer to Twosun prices

😆 that is funny, Sometimes a smaller knife still came from the same amount of materials wasted though and in some cases they can be harder to make great
@@NeevesKnives - I hadn't thought it about it that way, but it makes sense. Give same material, smaller dimensions means more machining. Higher level of precision.
@@Abby_Normal_1969 yeah i heard a knife maker talk about it saying it can be even harder than making a larger version also the smaller bits are more prone to breaking and you go through them faster in some cases, and in many cases the billets start off the same size

Twosuns are way better than Ganzo. At least Twosun is making original designs.

Awesome! The 49 is a great model, it is one of the older models but a great one still, and mine ive beat the heck out of and its only gotten better

The longest ive ever waited was one month the fastes was under a week, they are usually 2 to 3 weeks but they always say 1 to 2 months just incase, its usually there with in 4 weeks ive never waited longer, imho try to get the models above 100 the higher the number the newer the model they go in order and they are in the high 200s rt now getting close to 300

The quality, precision workmanship, materials, fit and finish are equal to and frequently exceeding the quality of knives costing several times as much. Take a current production TwoSun, put a high-end makers name on it... you'd swear you had a $600 (or more) knife in your hands.

My latest obsession is twosun. Everything just feels great. Only “issue” I’ve ever had was was that their pivot screw comes loose after open/closing it a bunch. EASY fix with locktite.
Definitely an easy fix with lock tight ive personally only had thst issue a couple times with ts, but many knives of even higher value go the same way, a lot of people say thats from tight tolerance

I love the TwoSuns that I currently own. I have a TS264 (M390) on the way from China. Maybe I'll get it before Christmas. I didn't get an amazing deal on it, but it was still under $200.
You should get it with in 3 to 4 weeks thats the usual time i personally have never waited longer than 4 weeks on any of my TS

@@albertkelly7129 well actually all their testing has come back great except the m390 and s90v and the newer stuff is starting to improve, someone else in the comments even said that there cut tests on s90v went from 200 something cuts to 700 something cuts, and ive even noticed a difference on the older stuff vs the new stuff, which is pretty typical for knife companies when they first start using a steel
@@NeevesKnives yeah i saw that comment as well and i hope that guys tests are indicative of the recent stuff but sadly so far all the bigger guys that have cut tested twosuns havent had great results the most recent example of course cedric and ada caused a stir with his poor showing of twosun s90v. i hope those bigger guys can revisit twosuns s90v and m390...

The weight to me is something important when buying a knife. I own a Zero Tolerance knife and it is way too heavy for EDC.

Two Sun made a really cool small razor sharp knife that I really like because I have tricked many people asking them close the knife with the best of their ability and they have not been able to close the knife. 😆 As mentioned the knife is a folder which is very small and razor sharp small silver stainless cleaver with the hidden notch for closing but no belt clip? What a shame! All of the Two Sun knives come with the oil in the plastic and extremely sharp. The action on these knives is incredible.

The only time I like the detent to hang up is on a heavy blade because Just a slight movement gets them to fall .

I have a bunch of Twosun and haven’t gotten a bad one yet. Great buy for the money I have $120.00 Twosun as good if not better than some $300 and $400 dollar knifes I have. There the Canik pistols of the knife world. You get way more than what you pay for.

The 16 is an interesting knife for sure. the blade geometry on it is quite wide though (I have the OG G10 version). It all comes down to what you're cutting though. It can get bound up when slicing through cardboard or apples or whatever... but I also have the same complaint albeit less severe with the Benchmade 940 that's wildly popular.

Love my forty some TwoSuns. Once they kick the eBay selling, provide base MSRP's and market to distributors TS will be taken seriously by the entire knife community, as they already have the quality and innovation to compete with Bestech, Kizer, WE and Reate, IMO....
I agree but still think ebay is the best way to go anywhere else you will have to pay asking price instead of us making the market, I like making the market and getting the knives for what im willing to spend instead of paying a middle man 20%

In your estimation what would be a good entry level TwoSun Titanium knife that won't break the bank? I am addicted to your TH-cam channel and my wife is not thrilled with my knife addiction!
There is a hit and miss thing with the Twosun deals on eBay, as some bidders go a bit crazy. Still, I’ve gotten a lot, I never overbid and I am usually just checking at the last second, though I follow some offerings just to see the bidding patterns. The last 15 seconds can be interesting. I have contacted the 2 main Twosun sellers on eBay and they have both been very responsive. Twosun was willing to look deeper at the shipping delays after the COVID-19 pandemic, including contacting the vendors. Or those new to dealing with Chinese vendors, there are many excellent and responsive vendors, but there some that are not as good. Regardless, shipping can be slow, especially when flights get cancelled. Most of these shipments are carried as cargo in passenger planes and when travel slows, delivery times increase. Twosun actually removed their products from eBay until the logistical problems were solved. Unlike other Chinese makers, they were aware of the goodwill losses if delivery is delayed.
There back on ebay as far as i know i just won one a few weeks ago and lost one like two weeks ago they were slow a couple months ago but they are pretty quick rt now all my knives have been with in 3 weeks or less. The longest ive ever waited was a full month the shortest was less than a week

The one i was talking about was the ts264, but we were not able to pay that otherwise we would have gotten it before, we only have certain days a month that we can spend $ on knives, our budget is very small but the community definitely helps us out a lot
I’m reminded of a story I once heard as a kid. A group of people were selected for a wine tasting. Each person was given two glasses of wine to taste. No information was provided about either wine except that one glass was poured from a $10 bottle, and the other from a $100 bottle. At the end of the test, each taster unanimously agreed that the $100 wine was better. At this point it was revered to them that the wine taste has been a social experiment regarding perception of value, and that every single glass in the entire experiment was poured from the exact same bottle. So the phrase “You get what you pay for” isn’t 100% accurate all of the time.

I have a d2 twosun and the tip broke with a month and I hardly use it and when I did it was cardboard, what gives?
Hard to say, possibly a burnt edge which all production knives can have from the sharpening done at the factory thats why its good to sharpen the knives when you get them, but it could be from a couple different things including heat treat

I don't buy TwoSuns because I loathe eBay and every time I review one, the fans bash me for getting the wrong one or not liking it enough. Also... Too many models and can't keep up. Not worth my time. They do make some fantastic models, but that's what it is for me.

I like some of the twosun knives along with civivi, we and arcform. But I can not get past where all these knives are made. I can't give them my money no matter how much I like some of these knives and the value you get for the money.
I understand, there's many knife companies that are in the usa that build there knives overseas, so a majority of the money stays in the 🇺🇸 but I do get it

I have cold steel folders from Taiwan, spydercos from Japan and Colorado, benchmades from Oregon and Emersons, protechs and microtechs from wherever they're made in the US. But nothing from China and it's definitely not because I don't like some of them!

Best knife dealz in the world are TwoSun. TwoSun is for the highly intelligent. People of lesser intelligence don't mind wasting tons of money on the name or the popularity of some knives. You could take most TwoSun knives and put a popular name on them and charge up to three times more and folks wouldnt even know the difference because TwoSun uses the highest of quality materials with slick action, excellent fit and finish just like their high end competitors. TwoSun is for people who want the best knife without having to shell out three times the price, or even 10 times the price for basically the same thing. Like I said, TwoSun is not a sign of cheap, TwoSun is a sign of intelligence !

I completely agree with you! Why would anyone with half a brain pay so much when you can honestly buy something great for a lesser price? We are going through hard times am I right? Another aspect that the Two Sun company does really good is the finish. Whenever I receive a Two Sun knife I get a razor sharp knife. I have bought brand new knives thar come straight out of the box in their plastic or whatever and the knife is from a famous company excluding Spyderco and I have to sharpen the blade at least a little.
I understand liking variety, but i also understand getting the best bang for my buck from a company that is doing the extras, incredible value
Good video. 1 thing I've found about TwoSun & the nay sayers is that a good portion of the nay sayers refuse to believe that TwoSun actually does use the high end steels that they claim to use even though there's been tests done on the steels that prove they are legit. (*Side note* I now have MC Hammer stuck in my head.) Their customer service is pretty good as well.

The Micro Typhoon was $350, but with tax and such, it came out to $383. The irony is my Typhoon which is much larger came out to $325.
