I agree that the Japanese lyrics sound better emotionally for me even though I don’t speak Japanese. It just feels different and better in the original format. With that said, I love this band and they did a fantastic job with the cover.
This cover was the 5th song of the set of their 1st gig as a band-22 August 2019-and the 3rd song of the set of their 2nd gig as a band-5 September 2019. (Saw Sept. 5 live.)
Love the song and the ladies, probably due to Tamu’s influence, picked a great one and did a really good cover. I agree it would have been great to have a really well produced version of this when it first came out.
Saw Nemophila in a small club last week. All faster songs. Mayu was stage diving and crowd surfing. During the next band's set, Mayu and Haraguchi-san came out on the floor and joined the wild crowd.
Mayu-as Sindy-used to crowdsurf in her Lipstick days. I've seen the Nemo members in the crowd at their double-bills with other bands, including Rottengraffty. At the all-female band events such as Naon no Yaon and Women's Power it's not been unusual for the various band members to be in the crowd when other bands are playing. For that matter, members of Gacharic Spin and Hagane were within a few meters of me at Nemo's concert at Budokan.
@@ericifune5543 Yes, Mayu was like that with Lipstick, and on occasion Hara with Holderlins. Mayu and Hara were very much getting into it when I saw them in the crowd at Knotfest Japan 2023, but a bit more subdued in the crowd at Loud Park 2023, probably because Hazuki and Saki were with them then.
Thanks for your reaction 😊 I fully agree with you: I understand only a few japanese words, but I also get the feeling that a lot of emotion is lost when translated to english. As far as I know, japanese words include so much more meaning and details than the english counterpart. For example, the word "Sayonakidori" translates to Nightingale in english, but in japanese it means "small singing night bird", which is way more specific 🙂 Take care ✌️
Brief history: Kurenai was one of the songs Nemophila played at there very 1st live show (2019) before becoming Nemophila, the first 3 gigs they were called Mayu Session. Tamu (drummer) played in a loose X-Japan cover band called X that included X-Japan's singer Toshl (videos on Daisuke Kurosawa channel) Tamu also auditioned for a band created by Yoshiki, X-Japans drummer and composer of Kurenai. She drummed Kurenai to a backing track with Yoshiki watching & judging (solo audience) He was very impressed by her drumming and speed. This band never eventuated and Tamu went on to join Nemophila (there's video online of the audition) The perfect X-Japan song for Nemophila to cover, Endless Rain is a rock ballad something Nemophila have done incl originals, primary there a heavy metal band not rock! For someone who does not speak English Mayu did a outstanding job! Very brave challenging herself to learn and then sing it in English.

The Metal Weekend shows weren't Nemo’s "debut gig"-they played two shows at Club Wildside before MW. And the vocalist for Daisuke Kurosawa’s covers of X Japan isn’t actually X Japan’s vocalist ToshI but a guy who imitates ToshI and calls himself “sa ToshI”. Seen reactions to bands ranging from Led Zeppelin to The Warning to The Who to The Hu to Band-Maid to Nemophila and various other Japanese bands where people commented that they saw the band live there or somewhere-nothing "self-important" about that at all.
david you don't that the song was orinaly writen in anglish in their first album : vanishing vision . toshi was not able to sing enaught well in anglish for yoshiki , so he did it in japanese for the second album : blue blood . so nemophila choosed the original version from vanishing vision album . that it

Regarding the low solos. I think the guitars was low through the entire song. Maybe they put preference for the thundering drums.
