Before watching the video I'll say Honda has it on styling. The integrated tail exhaust, headlights, nice modern tft display. But I'll bet the ZX6r exceeds it in overall preformance.
Bought my Cbr600rr last year and I basically paid $3k more for the undertail exhaust because the 636 was like $8,000 brand new and the Cbr600rr was over $11,000. Honda definitely know how to make money haha
Kawasaki really did a great job of cramming a lot of value for money into the zx6! But I really like the look of the new Honda and think it sounds great too. Which one would you pick?
@@pureadv_enture4084 I own both of these bikes and both are great machines. I would caution you to make sure you sit on and ride both before you buy. The Kawi has a higher center of mass so it feels extremely heavy to maneuver compared to the Honda at sub 100 km/h speeds (on track this probably isn't noticed). The other thing is the riding ergonomics. Riding the Kawi for an hour hurt my palms and gave me forearm fatigue vs. the Honda where you can cruise on it if you are sitting as far forward on the seat as you can go. Good luck
And has Showas SFF BP fork system which is truly an incredible oem set up. Also it’s one of the last true blue sport bikes with a analog dash, it’s the best sport bike ever made trust me
I'm currently cross shopping both these bikes with ABS in the US. I'm hoping I find a dealer up my way with a demonstrator CBR600RR I can take out for a ride (a lot harder to find than th ZX6R for some reason) to make my ultimate decision. I'm a Repsol Honda fangirl but the performance per dollar value proposition for a real world street bike with the Kawasaki is hard to deny. Both are terrific rides. I can go wrong either which way I choose between them.
Don't pay attention to the "cool" factor or Factory specs. Nor what anyone else thinks or has an opinion on. Your bike will find you, fit, form, function. The worst thing I see people doing today is buying an uncomfortable "cool bike" that they struggle to ride. And that my friend......will make you an "uncomfortable" rider. Hence you will be so focused on the bike, that you may forget the Road, or at very least not enjoy the ride per say. Be smart and if the money is a problem as a choice for your safety....I question your intentions to ride. How much is your Life worth? Rubber side down deuces.
Honda Advantages: 1) Both up and down quickshifter while ZX6R is up only 2) Exhaust positioning (subjective though) 3) Steering damper Disadvantages 1) No gear indicator?
HESD is highly recommended as Honda mastered it. Progressive speed fork damper controlled by the ECU. Awesome at higher speeds or in a parking lot just saying.... Um.....gear indicator? HUH? Mine is exhaust note/rpm/am I going too fast/or too slow? I do like the fuel gauge though. Rubber side down deuces!
I have the 2020 zx6r nd absolutley love her wasnt a fan of the new look but it grew on me fast ill tell u it is a fucking monster. wheeling it is butter and although it doesnt have launch control i still beat 1,000's at red lights 😂 but 10/10 would deffinatley recomend to anyone looking for a 600cc bike.
Green is team bro. Try an aftermarket windscreen on your 400 , really helps taller riders Nice review . The biggest difference between Honda and Kawasaki is price. Nobody can produce a better fit and finish then Kawasaki and all their machines have character... I do mow my lawn with a honda though...

Bro cbr old version last top speed is 280+kmph.. yeah it's really a good bike ♥️ I luv this bike even it has some less bhp than zx6r bt cbr feels like high bhp bcoz of the smoothness of the engine and can defeat some bike also acceleration is best in performance. Honda engine is Soo smooth and the in line 4 sound is awesome and too much loud . Am using cbr 2019 model best in class ♥️ best in performance 👌

Maybe its just me but where everything else is close enough for my standards, it really comes down to looks and Honda almost always has better looking bikes in my opinion

Yea I do like the Cafe racer look on the rs z900, but don’t think I’d own one. Only Harley is really consider buying would be from the sportster line like a 48, or possibly 883. I’ll probably stick with the sport bikes though, just whether it’ll be a zx or something else 🤔
I just picked up a 2021 cbr600 here in the states with 500 miles. I was in between this one and a brand new Zx6r krt. But I love the Honda Acura product so I went with the Honda.
I like both bikes but at the end of the day I don't want police attention so I rather ride safely than sorry. My choice is the CBR600RR but may go for the ZXR6 it's cheaper 😊
Are those fins under lights or whatever it is really needed, it's weird. I wish I could buy honda cbr 600rr year 2007 - 2009 in italian red and black! That was my best honda cbr 600rr in whole history of this legend!

I’d have to disagree on the cbr looking better , the front fairings look too big for the bike , whereas the zx6r has a more harmonious , aggressive front fairing not to mention it’s aggressive looking tail too
I have a zx6r.... I love the look of the cbr600 but they shouldn't have attached a reversed winglet.. They should have made it a normal facing winglet.. and the tail looks like it came from the late 90s design.. but it's okay.. it looks tight.. The undertail exhaust is a big plus on the cool factor (but they say it causes the passenger seat a bit hot..)..
I just bought a 2020 zx6r in the furnace orange! If I want winglets I would still stick with kawasaki and buy a h2 just saying. All so I prefer the more engaging feel of the mechanical zx6r
I love Kawasaki but it's time they upgrade the dash on the ZX6R and ZX10R to TFT display like Honda and Ducati. The Ninja 650 has a better dash than the ZX6R and ZX10R

I think it’s moderately important. Considering it’s probably the thing you’ll look at most about the bike other than when you’re off it. The amount of times you glance down at it during your ride, you want it to be clear and easy to read/use.

Totally, I rode my fathers street 500 (review on the channel btw) and there’s only a gear indicator while you’re moving past a certain speed so coming to a stop and getting into first is a bit more of a hassle than normal with a gear indicator
I like the mean green kawasaki. I am a kawasaki fan but I like the CBR RR hands down my brother has a CBR RR Fire blade 900 RR 1996 I loved it I got the 2012 kawasaki ZXR 1000 and a kawasaki ZXR6 08 I am getting me a CBR now got too be a 1000 tho. But I am a kawasaki fan all the way.
I’m 66kg and I will be using it on the road, I like the Honda a lot I’ll probably end up getting one once I’m 23 years old, then I can legally ride one. I’m from the Netherlands I’m only allowed to ride a 35kw bike right now
Pearl Sunbeam White mine.....PC Series 3....stock gearing....pops the top @ 172mph 15K full twist.....not a beginner bike haha! Amazing what the ECU ..... can DO..... LOL! My 1K still has 186mph limiter and.....honestly there is no good reason to change that.
I wish people wouldnt base comparaisons based off manufacturer claims. I know you dont have much choice, but listing the 0-60 time is completely redundant. With a good launch either of these bikes will get to 60 in under 3 seconds
I agree, when it comes to acceleration, so much of it is based around the rider and how well they can launch. In my latest comparisons I get the claimed 0-60 time and then go to TH-cam to watch a bunch of runs from people and get the average time they get.
My friend and I want to be bikers in the foreseeable future. If Hondas are safer, then I’d go for the CBR600RR. I do it just to feel cool, not too fast to stay upright.
It really comes down to how you ride the bike then, any bike can be dangerous, even a 125. If you’re just doing it to feel cool and not go too fast you’re probably better off with a 400 or even a 650CC bike like the Ninja or CBR instead of a 600CC race replica super sport bike like these :)
Different engine setup, seating position and suspension set up. The RR line along with the ZX line from Kawasaki are race replica bikes, which means they’re pretty much ready to go on the track but aren’t designed for the street as much as the non RR. They also have a lot more power
No no they are different. Kawasaki for example; they have the Ninja 650 which is a 649CC two cylinder that is more set up for the street and makes 67 horsepower. And they have the ZX-6R which is a 600CC four cyclinder bike which is more set up for the track and has around 129 horsepower. They also deliver their power differently. Both bikes can do exactly the same things and can be used on the track or the street. They are just designed a bit differently to work better in each of those situations. (650 on street, zx6r on track). Same story with Honda’s CBR600RR (track focused) and their CBR650R (street focused). Hope that clears it up
And you would expect the Kawasaki to make more power with the 37cc advantage. I like the sound of the Honda a little better, just sounded like it was pulling a little harder.
Mate make the pound foot of torque to ft lbs or use Noni metres. Also ABS isn't an option in Australia only in America in Australia ABS is standard. Also zx6r costs $16672 drive away in Australia idk where you got your figures from.
You are correct, somebody has already pointed that out. I got my figures mixed up by looking at the US Kawasaki website when looking for different countries prices and mixing the prices up between Aus and USA. In the US they offer a non-abs model aswell.
That's the the Honda 650r. It's Kawasaki counter part is the Ninja 650r which is way cheaper.. because of the number of cylinders.. but their power is very close..
2 things... 1. The 2020 cbr600rr looks ALOT like the 2020 Yamaha R1 2. BRING THE ZX25R TO THE STATES!! I currently own a 2020 ninja 400 and it's great, but if I could only afford the 2020 zx6r
You're right, the sleek front end does look reminiscent of the R1. I've seen mixed responses about the zx25r in the states, some people don't want it, others really want it. I also have a 400 and am thinking of upgrading to a zx6r!
Combustion engines is a mostly interested parts on any vehicle for me. That is why I love sport bikes because these engines performance are very extreme especially 600cc class supersport. I will prefer the ZX6R and R6 because they have over 16k rpm to rev but the CBR and GSX-R only has 15k.
Shame about the CBR600RR price. At A$28000 RRP, That’s S1000RR price and about $12000 more than the outgoing model. Who’s going to buy it? I don’t get it.

Imma go with the CBR600RR, i love the center exhaust. Also the CBR got the HESD (electronic steering dampner) while the 636 doesn't.
While I really love the ZX6R, the styling of the Honda is something else

Worth the Money....there is a reason the Engineering Team is reverting back to the under tail exhaust configuration on the brand new bikes.
I always go to Kawi, price and speed and torque and price wise, no brainer.

The new Honda CBR has a gear indicator, but they have done away with the fuel indicator

I bought one this year. At first I wished it was the older white/black scheme but the grey grew on me. The metallic white looks awesome in the sun

My friend and I want to be bikers in the foreseeable future. If Hondas are safer, then I’d go for the CBR600RR. I do it just to feel cool, not too fast to stay upright.
It really comes down to how you ride the bike then, any bike can be dangerous, even a 125. If you’re just doing it to feel cool and not go too fast you’re probably better off with a 400 or even a 650CC bike like the Ninja or CBR instead of a 600CC race replica super sport bike like these :)

Different engine setup, seating position and suspension set up. The RR line along with the ZX line from Kawasaki are race replica bikes, which means they’re pretty much ready to go on the track but aren’t designed for the street as much as the non RR. They also have a lot more power

No no they are different. Kawasaki for example; they have the Ninja 650 which is a 649CC two cylinder that is more set up for the street and makes 67 horsepower. And they have the ZX-6R which is a 600CC four cyclinder bike which is more set up for the track and has around 129 horsepower. They also deliver their power differently.
Both bikes can do exactly the same things and can be used on the track or the street. They are just designed a bit differently to work better in each of those situations. (650 on street, zx6r on track).
Same story with Honda’s CBR600RR (track focused) and their CBR650R (street focused).

the ABS model for the honda cbr costs more its like 12,800 which is like a grand more

Mate make the pound foot of torque to ft lbs or use Noni metres. Also ABS isn't an option in Australia only in America in Australia ABS is standard. Also zx6r costs $16672 drive away in Australia idk where you got your figures from.
You are correct, somebody has already pointed that out. I got my figures mixed up by looking at the US Kawasaki website when looking for different countries prices and mixing the prices up between Aus and USA. In the US they offer a non-abs model aswell.

No
Highly recommend the HESD as it is progressive and ECU speed controlled. Yep, only on the Honda's. Very solid at high speed. Rubber side down deuces.

info is a bit outdated. especially considering weight. CBR weights 2 pounds less than its 1000rr counterpart which is ridiculous.

The CBR600rr just arrived here at the Philippines, and is way less expensive than the zx6r. Right now, it is priced at 530,000 php.
That's the the Honda 650r.
It's Kawasaki counter part is the Ninja 650r which is way cheaper.. because of the number of cylinders.. but their power is very close..

You're right, the sleek front end does look reminiscent of the R1. I've seen mixed responses about the zx25r in the states, some people don't want it, others really want it. I also have a 400 and am thinking of upgrading to a zx6r!

Combustion engines is a mostly interested parts on any vehicle for me. That is why I love sport bikes because these engines performance are very extreme especially 600cc class supersport. I will prefer the ZX6R and R6 because they have over 16k rpm to rev but the CBR and GSX-R only has 15k.

I was at bikebizz parramatta last Monday and they told me that new Honda 600 is $ 28000 . Whereas Kawasaki zx636 is $ 16500. So I go with Kawasaki lol
