that has to be one of the best les pauls builds on youtube. I wish I could buy one from you, excelent job! its a true master piece and the dedication to perfection is absolut
It’s a masterpiece. What a pleasure watching the work and then seeing the results. It’s hard to see how you could improve, but keep it up. Great stuff.
If you're tempted to join the Patreon it's totally worth it - I'm delighted that I did. There's also a really great Telegram group with it that's really vibrant and useful.
Thank you. Almost all the time in this video I play in the middle position, where the pickups are in antiphase to each other, but not at equal volume. Pure antiphase is not as interesting as tucking it into the bridge or neck pickup sound.
Thank you! I think Gibson is mad at me. Recently I received a couple of letters from their lawyers. But several of my subscribers and students are already working for Gibson 😁
Thanks. LesPaul and Marshall are so tired of me. As a rule, a really good Marshall is very difficult to find and in most cases it is Marshall, not LesPol. Vintage Fender amplifiers more faithfully convey the frequency response of the guitar. But overdrive is not always beautiful. This is a broad topic of discussion and is always based on personal preference.
Yes you have a valid point there, it does come down to personal preference. I would recommend a Marshall 1987x Plexi if you can't get your hands on a genuine 59 Plexi and from my experience the 87 sounds just as good. I believe that your viewers will really enjoy hearing your masterpieces through that amp.
@@SV-wb8kh I have recorded some videos in marshall silver jubilee 87 4х12. This is a wild beast that is very difficult to work with. It is impossibly loud and even with an attenuator, the ears are bleeding. At first, everything sounds mega cool, but in the end, I didn't get anything good with him. It has its own specifics and it doesn't suit me.
@@8BombCustom fully agree. My go-to amps are a top grade handwired DR clone and a Plexi (SLP preamp stage with 18W EL84), and when I want to tear how a guitar sounds, I always go with the DR. Then, with the DR again, and then, at the end, also with the Plexi

This is the episode that I've been waiting for...what an incredible beast of a guitar ! This may truly be your finest work yet, my friend. Congratulations and much respect !

Спасибо)) я на этой записи вобще не планировал играть. Люблю приглашать других музыкантов. Но в этот раз косяк случился. Пришлось самому.
Absolutely awesome job!!! What pickups are installed on that guitar?

Isn't Greenie famous for it's out of phase pickups? Seems like I didn't hear it out of phase. Gotta play some Peter Green licks too.

Не знаю как ещё сказать лучше. Это было ближе всего к идеалу.

Great job mate, but a 59 Les Paul needs to be driven by a 59 Marshall Plexi for a true comparison.

Nice job, looks ok, but I have to admit that I didn't hear the specific out of phase-tone the original guitar is famous for.
