    It works! Your solution is simple and fast. Note to those following these instructions - when you get your phone cable, make sure they have the colored cables inside. There are phone cables where all the inside cables are the same color. That didnt help.

    @jstewres An 8 year old video just saved me a massive amount of hassle! I spent hours scrolling TH-cam looking for the same safe as mine. This one you show in the video is the same safe as mine but with a different brand name. Batteries had died and now, thanks to this ingenious video, I’ve managed to open it without resorting to violence! 🤣 Many thanks!

    • @jrbreakout145

      Taped the batteries together with scotch tape. On this particular safe there is a "phone" type connection at the bottom in which techs use a device to power as open the safe. I just used the cable to power it up only so I could open it to change the batteries inside

    I have been trying this, I can not get it to work. What did you use to get the batteries like that? I taped them but perhaps it’s not secure enough. I cut the phone cord, stripped the black wire and yellow to get to the Cooper, taped them to rack end. I spend days on this and getting pretty flustered. I don’t know what else to do. Please help.

    • @jrbreakout145
      @jrbreakout145 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would make sure they are all new batteries to begin with, that makes a difference. If yours is not this exact model, the pins on the control board may be different. It took me months of searching the internet and trial and error before actually getting mine to work, that's why I posted the video because there was nothing out there. Hope you can eventually get yours open. If not you might have to call a lock Smith, like I didn't want to do

    • @Just4DaHalibut
      @Just4DaHalibut 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jrbreakout145 yeah except from mine being black, it seems identical. Batteries were ordered brand new with the phone cord as I don’t have a house phone. I read in 1 of the comments that the person switched where the yellow and black wires went and it worked. I am going to try that. Locksmith wants $80 if the cone to the house plus $150 per hour. I would like to smash on ground and open it but unfortunately there are loaded fire arms in it. I might have to suck it up and pay for the locksmith to drill it. Ugh. Thank you for your help.

    Most of the Chinese made " safes" are of the same "quality" , with every individualy sold safe there comes a set of overide keys, take
    the cover of the door, it is located just below the key board, take the cover off and you can open the safe with the key. When the door
    is open you can reset the electronic code. The brand name Challenger is just one of the many different brand names. If you are Looking
    for a real safe, just don't buy this product.
