Very entertaining. Wonder if the owner will ever try to reclaim his vehicle. Or show up in the night with a torch and Mr. Sawzall. I did that once when Jerry Jones' thugs booted my delivery truck after I parked it where they said to park. To this day I am not a Cowboys fan for this and other reasons. Keep up the good work. I enjoy watching you while I remain dry and toasty warm.
I'd like to see you ride the former C&EI and L&N routes from Chicago down to Evansville and on to Nashville. I don't think any of the other TH-cam hoboes have documented that trip.
Congratulations on the huge guppy you landed, But anything on a flyrod Is fun times for sure... Love the Drone footage, Thank you for sharing your travels.. Stay safe, and be well.. 73 to you and all of yours.. ✌
It was so nice to see Denver! I miss it so much! I have pictures, from the exact spot you were standing, by the UP control tower, from April of this year. Thank you for that. It was so nice to see the mountains. I was in Westminster for 6 months. I am going back in January. Counting the days! My wife is a travel RN. Our home is in FL. We are gere in VA Beach until December. BTW, I was shooed away from the yard (nicely) though. You're better off at night but beware of the cameras there! Good luck. 👍
ChainsawN&W1218, good luck on Your next catch out, nice creek and enjoyed the video, recognized that one loud air horn as an EMD SD70ACE, take care George!👍🛤
Haha that little fish you caught is about the size of some bait! :) Oh and I wanted to say, whenver I'm in Denver I always opt to stay at the LaQuinta down near Globeville Rd because you can see right out your window all the rail activity at the BN yard right behind it. Kinda of neat. Plus it's LaQuinta so it won't break the bank. Last time I stayed there someone on the first floor was outside walking their pet pig. Yes pig. I even snuck a photo haha
"I caught a fish this long", said the one-armed fisherman. Yessiree, it was a big one! Always enjoy the drone shots. It gives a great perspective of the surrounding area. Stay safe and warm and look forward to your next trip video.
Would love to have one of those radios . Enjoy your channel. Love your stories about the Grand Island area. I grew up there so I was there when you where there live in Aurora, Ne now keep up the good content I really enjoy it
Hey George - love your adventurous videos! When I watch, you always make your viewers feel like we're along for the ride. Stay safe, and I look forward to your next adventure!
I'm 73 years old and enjoy watching your Videos. I like looking at the scenery going by as you ride and also the commentary. There is no way that I would be able to do anything like you do. As a "life long" railfan I look for railroad landmarks and equipment and dream about how things were compared to how things are today. Again I enjoy your videos very much!!
Thanks for your kind words. I lament some of the changes over the years, especially the loss of roads through mergers, etc. I am glad though that fundamentally things haven't changed completely.
Interesting video! I've always fly fished up stream and let it float down to me. The subdivision over Moffitt pass has been quite for a few years since the Grand coal business dropped off.
As always... like getting a letter from an old friend, just a good feeling.. We live in N Michigan so few to no trains..Would love to host u for dinner and board if u ever are in this area! Be safe and carry on!
I’ve just started watching these train hopping videos and love them. I think many people like myself have always fantasized or dreamt about being a hobo. I know it’s a lot more than just getting on and off a box car or a grain car. I’m learning the terminology and the players. Hobo Shoestring got me hooked. The I heard about the late Hobo Stobe. I doubt I’ll ever try this, getting a little too old the check engine light on myself is coming on more often these days. Living life vicariously through TH-cam channels.
Sometimes things don't work out the way we would like, they just work out. Always good to see another video. If, you're upcoming adventures east of the Mississippi take you into New England, let me know we might be able to cross channels on an adventure. There are several 7.25" clubs in the area to visit, if you'd like also. Either way, I look forward to watching your videos of the adventures. Keep listening for those Rhythms of the Railroad.
Awesome video George! Glad to hear you might be heading east sometime soon too! If you ever stop in Charlotte, NC, I'd love to meet up for supper or a beer and hear some of your stories.
Finally a fishing clip, thanks for including that in the video. And George, what is more important, trains or relatives? You don't have to answer that....
Used to live in Denver and I agree with your comments about the beauty of that city. BUT, I hated winter there as I got older and was less tolerant of snow and Ice. So. Cal for me now and probably forever. Look forward to your next trip! Rick Brandt
From what I've seen that UP train that goes up into the mountains usually stops in Bond, CO for a crew change that is an 8-12 hour change. It isn't a straight through to Grand Junction. I've seen some other people try and catch that train back to Denver or out from Denver and they always get stuck there.
Your footage is just so sick! Your 2022 trips were so cool to watch my dear George! I hope your followings ones in 2023 will be also great ;) Your Canadian friend, Alexandre
George you should come up to Green Bay and go fishing with me. I think we can upgrade the fish size lol ! Love all your videos and watch them over and over , you're personality has even won over my wife ! ( she is not a fan of my train hopping but she supports me like your wife does ) Keep them coming my friend
I like how you hid in plain sight as the UP workers did their thing. Nobody seemed too concerned. I didn't get the Denver boot, but I did get the denver parking ticket because only an ant can read the fine print on the meter. Oh well, what do ya do.....Good stuff, can't wait to see you eastern trips next year.
Hi George, I am in my seventies now and a retired railman. You mentioned a strike in your video and at the moment we are having rail strikes here in England which to my annoyance has seriously curtailed my observations railway activity here. I began to look on TH-cam and came across your channel and thoroughly enjoyed its contents falling in love with the American/Canadian railroad systems and how it all operates (A massive learning curve). Now you have a fan on the other side of the pond eagerly awaiting more postings from yourself. Thank you and more of the same please, safe journeys my friend. 👍
Me and my husband have watched all your videos over & over. Great cinematic shots. Saw the Yard Buzzards were in our area a couple weeks ago. If you’re ever in the Western NY area we’d be happy to take you for some wings at the Anchor Bar (where they originated) or someplace where their even better!!! Happy Rails!
Count me in the drawing and to catch ur nxt adventures! Always a joy to watch ur videos and the ups & downs of the trips, hopefully this nxt ride will be a smooth sailing one!
Glad to hear that you will have more adventure videos coming. Would like to see you make it way east of the Mississippi like upstate New York, the Hoosac tunnel in Massachusetts. No matter where you go the videos will be entertaining stay safe out there!!!!!!
Oh George could really use a scanner have no way to buy off the internet, tried to download one from the app store not really the same thing. U r an inspiration to me to keep riding at 57
Thoroughly enjoy your videos, George. I am living vicariously through your adventures! Wish I could do the same. Hope you are able to keep riding and sharing your adventures with us for years to come.
Hi George! Another Great Video! Can’t wait for your next one! Have you thought about visiting New England? If so, would love to meet you & say “ Hello”! It would be interesting to see you taking the train in the winter time! Just bundle up ! I wish you the best & please enter me in your contest! Have A Good Weekend!
You're becoming quite a pro at this. Especially enduring the elements. BTW, can't see how anyone could find a specific ride in a yard like that...unless there was inside intel, if you know what I mean. Cheerz Mate.
Monster fish bud... Coulda eaten off that for days .. hah jk it always feels good to know you didn't get totally skunked.. I definitely know that feeling ;)
The drawing for the Baofeng UV5R is complete. It was won by Mark Taylor.
At least you got to get a little fly fishing in... And you caught a fish! Outstanding!! Thank you, George
I'd like to see you ride the former C&EI and L&N routes from Chicago down to Evansville and on to Nashville. I don't think any of the other TH-cam hoboes have documented that trip.
Hello George can’t wait for another trip. Be Safe My Friend. Thank You Terri. ☮️
Congratulations on the huge guppy you landed, But anything on a flyrod Is fun times for sure... Love the Drone footage, Thank you for sharing your travels.. Stay safe, and be well.. 73 to you and all of yours.. ✌

Caught a BIG fish, huh? Looks like just a fish story to me! 🐟😁
Even without a hop this was a great video, loved the flyfishing!
Haha that little fish you caught is about the size of some bait! :) Oh and I wanted to say, whenver I'm in Denver I always opt to stay at the LaQuinta down near Globeville Rd because you can see right out your window all the rail activity at the BN yard right behind it. Another good video. Looking forward to your next ride. And yeah I could use that Baofeng!
Subscribed, commenting and waiting for the next ride. Baofeng wow! The Canadian ride has been my fav so far. Highball Jumping, highball!
"I caught a fish this long", said the one-armed fisherman. Yessiree, it was a big one! Always enjoy the drone shots. It gives a great perspective of the surrounding area. Stay safe and warm and look forward to your next trip video.
I enjoy your videos. I enjoy fly fishing also. I would love the radio.
Would love to have one of those radios . Enjoy your channel. Love your stories about the Grand Island area. I grew up there so I was there when you where there live in Aurora, Ne now keep up the good content I really enjoy it

Enjoy your videos. Great stories and adventure. I'm in madison too.
You're living a life I wish I could, your videos are like movies I get lost in. Thanks
Interesting video! I've always fly fished up stream and let it float down to me. The subdivision over Moffitt pass has been quite for a few years since the Grand coal business dropped off.

Upper 70's this weekend here in Chicago, safe to say we won't see this again in 2022. Looking forward to the next adventure.
I'm here like always. What a dreary wet miserable day. Loved the Denver boot. I'm glad you posted. I surely hope you will be still riding in 2023.
Got my mom watching your videos, Wishing you safe travels out of beautiful Denver and beyond.

Great little vid ... Will await the catch out ... That was a huge fish by the way 😂🤣😅

If you can get to it by rail try the blue river between Dillon and Breckenridge!
Loved the video and would love to have a crack at that radio. Stay safe!
Would love to see you hop the southeast. Some of the most beautiful part of the country. Definitely more difficult than the standard Z train.
Your footage is just so sick! Your 2022 trips were so cool to watch my dear George! I hope your followings ones in 2023 will be also great ;) Your Canadian friend, Alexandre
I’m sorry you weren’t able to ride west but it was an amazing journey in its own rigjt
Another awesome video! Hope you are doing well George!
East of the Mississippi is Shoestring territory. Should hit him out for ideas and plans. And the Baofeng radio has a great dual scan feature.
George you should come up to Green Bay and go fishing with me. I think we can upgrade the fish size lol ! 0:06 That scud is really uniform in shape. Around here it’d be a wall cloud but I have no idea about Denver weather.

The radio would be a great start to the gear I need!
