Um....I see it as David maybe asking God to return to him after his hardship of life as a younger man. His drug use and being cast out for his choice of music over his law education. He has a backstory so many don't really care enough to read. His pain is real and his music is his journey back to and thru his truth. Do a little research into the man and everything becomes clear as far as his message. And btw....I am NOT a Christian in anyway shape or form. I read the story and listened to interviews and understand. This reaction is so wrong in my opinion.
His grandfather was a big player in the Jewish synagogue not sure what but he disowned David so did his parents..they didnt even hear him sing with the band until around 12years into their fame ...so i heard anyways 😎
I was going to post that they don’t seem to realize what Draiman was about. He was responding to conservative Christians who would say great calamities were God’s wrath for liberal attitudes on insert culture war issue here. The song was his way of saying that as a devout Jew, God as portrayed by the fundamentalist evangelical televangelist types wasn’t the God he believed in- that if God was really the wrathful monster they portrayed Him as, he (Draiman) wasn’t intimidated by Him since he’d already endured his very own personal Hell.
David Draiman loves covering songs. In addition to “Shout” and “Sound of Silence”, Disturbed has done “Land of Confusion” by Genesis, “Midlife Crisis” by Faith No More, “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” by U2 (Disturbed shortened the title to “ISHFWILF”), and “Living After Midnight” by Judas Priest. Draiman’s other band, Device, covered “Wish” by Nine Inch Nails. “Inside the Fire” is a must and you need to know the backstory for best context discussion-David found his girlfriend after she hung herself when they were 16 and the song is based on his thoughts and emotions in that moment.
"It's like Job being put through trials and tribulations and still coming through unscathed and achieving his redemption," Draiman said. "In particular the song is about the clergy's reaction to 9/11[...] Instead of consoling their flock, people like Jerry Falwell and Oral Roberts chastised them and used the situation as a means of empowerment, saying it was our own fault because we're a decadent and promiscuous people. I just thought that whole notion is ridiculous. It's not very godly for a God to inflict pain and suffering on his people to elicit a response. I would hope that God wouldn't be that petty. But if that's what is happening and you're inflicting pain and suffering to get me to return [to the flock], bring it on. There's nothing that you're going to do to me that's going to change my conviction or change my path."
I honestly don't like his approach to this as much as the usual handling of content on this channel, but I like the idea of him being an intermittent guest simply because he changes the format of the videos up. Variety isn't something I consider bad, but I wouldn't want him as a replacement for how the channel usually runs. Having the songs play through with *QUIET* reactions then a post-song analysis is preferred for me in general.
For me it did kind of ruin the reaction part of the song but I really enjoyed his analysis after and his comments during were interesting it just took away from the song. I wish he would be back but take that into consideration. I think it would definitely be a different case if they had both never heard the song also. You always pay more attention the first few times listening than you do after
I enjoy all these videos. You should do “I’m not Jesus” by apocalyptica ft Corey Taylor. The band uses cellos instead of guitars. Also the lyrical content seems quite relevant for the times with the Catholic Church
Draiman wrote the song shortly after his grandfather passed away, and is supposed to be the conversation he had with God afterwards.(sort of the conversation) The video was also released shortly after 9/11 because people did not like the video with the buildings falling apart. People claimed it reminded them off the Towers falling.
Thank you for writing all that came to my mind, while preparing my comment. All of the above is true. The discussion/debate with God thru song concept is reminiscent of Maynard's (Tool) when his mother passed (10000 days, Wings for Marie) etc.
I love your channel and reactions, one tip, less conversation through the song. Some people may not have heard the song before and hard to listen to it when there is alot of talking. By all means speak but conversations take away from the song and get into it. Peace ✌
Wow. Awesome dicussion and anaylsis coming from a Christian myself. Exactly what i needed to hear from DMC after an extremely difficult week. Honestly think God guided to me to watch this video and hear this after the struggle I've been through this week. Kudos to both of you guys and thanks for the content as always.
I wanted to leave a comment to say the same!! I've been struggling and I've also been struggling with my faith, badly. I really like this channel and I like your attitude and demeanor, Pastor Rob! I was SUPER surprised to learn you're in the Orlando area! I was born there and live a couple hours north of you in Starke, FL, and WJRR is one of my favorite stations and I still listen to them up here when I am able to. Would love to take a trip and sit thru a sermon with ya some time! A Pastor like you, who is passionate about music and likes to pick apart the lyrics the way I do, could be what it takes to get me on a better path and understand things better. Keep up the great work, I am now subscribed and am super glad I stumbled upon your channel by accident this evening! I also liked DMC ( bet you guys didn't think that name would stick haha) and his view of this song! I believe the song was indeed about Job when I first saw it. God Bless you and thank you for the great videos!!
I love this song. Every time I get those bad thoughts in my head and start feeling worthless I listen to this song and it reminds me that no matter what, there are people suffering far worse things than you could imagine, and you should be grateful for what you have, even if it is just your life, because death is worse than any form of suffering, and the dead wish they were even alive
@Johnny13Ghost yes you are correct, the music video is designed based on Job. "Prayer" was directed by the Brothers Strause as a music video in late June 2002 and released the next month. Vocalist David Draiman, who wrote the treatment for the music video, explained that the music video is based on the story of Job from the Bible. Throughout the music video, Draiman is walking down a street and passes various scenes of desperation, such as a prostitute, a homeless man, and a preacher predicting the end of the world. As Draiman continues to walk, the other members of Disturbed have various disasters befall them, and are presumably killed. (Steve Kmak is buried under falling debris, Dan Donegan crashes his car, and Mike Wengren is hit by a nearby construction explosion.) At the climax of the music video, Draiman survives an earthquake, and the remaining band members eventually come back to life and congregate with Draiman to play the last chorus. Draiman explains, "It's like Job being put through trials and tribulations and still coming through unscathed and achieving his redemption."[1] Upon release, various media outlets refused to air the music video for "Prayer", citing its alleged similarities to imagery from the September 11 attacks in the United States. Disturbed originally made plans to edit the video for airplay,[2] but eventually chose not to.[4] Draiman explained this choice when he said, "If we agreed to edit the video...then it's assuming that we're agreeing with the decision that there's something about the video that is offensive enough or provocative enough that it's dangerous for them to play it. We don't agree with that."[4] Draiman further criticizes the decision to take the video off of the air instead of other videos, "We don't have a character in our video who portrays Osama bin Laden and jumps and dances around, which is a direct recollective factor to 9/11."[4] The intent of the music video was not to depict similarity to the September 11 attacks, according to Draiman. He explained this by saying, "It was meant to be apocalyptic, but it was never intended to be derivative of the situation that happened on 9/11. Because of the subject matter...we needed something grandiose like an earthquake or a meteor shower or some kind of act of God to show the hand of the supernatural or some greater power."[4] He further explained that the video was actually meant to be uplifting. Draiman said, "[The video is] about getting through life's obstacles and all the tests that fate may throw at you in the process. It's trying to convince you that you have the strength to get through whatever trials and tribulations may come your way. It's supposed to inspire hope."[4] Despite "Prayer" receiving little airplay, Disturbed continued to promote the music video by including it on their album, Believe, and by posting it on various websites.[4]
Katie McLaughlin I thought job went through poverty, sickness and other stuff and he was upset and confused why this happened to him. God shows up and says to him, I am God.... God! Who are you? Did you make the light? Etc. lol
@@matthiasprice read the above comment. I didnt write the song or direct the video. I just am going by what David Draiman said in the video clip that is on the Believe album which can be seen by putting it in the computer.
What I love about this album (and especially this song) is based on Job which is my favorite book. David wrote this around his father’s declining health and death.
Super excited to watch this video, one of my favourite all time bands and songs EDIT: After seeing the video, I have to say Dr. Mike brings an interesting dynamic to the video. Being already familiar with metal he surely has some wisdom to share on the songs, like this one for instance, being that he had such a long time to think about the songs from a religious standpoint. Along with Rob who brings the first impression side of the argument, having two perspectives on the song is very interesting..
Although i can appreciate the nostalgia, technical aspects of the music and the aesthetics of David D, there was way too much talking over the song. Anyone watching this video missed the message of the song. It was super disappointing that we were no able to appreciate the music because of the constant distraction.
Fit for a King, any of this three songs The Price of Agony When Everything Means Nothing Oblivion Oceans Ate Alaska, their song Hansha Theocracy, their song Laying the Demon to Rest Really enjoy the channel
Once again, Disturbed is my favorite band and I’m so glad you listened to this song. This is the first time I saw the lyrics, and before this I thought he was saying “Heaven just isn’t high enough’” instead of “Living just isn’t hard enough.” Lol. Also 101.1 listen to them everyday going in to work and going home.
I almost didn't watch this because I know this song and am not a big Disturbed fan, but I'm glad I watched. You two pair well together and I love the back and forth with the Biblical knowledge. I'm really glad I found you and this channel. God bless!
Love the videos. Great to see you reach out to so many by bringing God's message in a way that is not judgmental or forceful. Would be great to see a video on Adonai by Hurt. "Ever since the dawning age all our very lives were shaped and worshiped to our Lord. Well, heaven helped, Heaven held, Heaven's help just helped themselves do what the hell they want ." - Hurt (Adonai)
You guys sort of missed the point, yet you were holding it: this is the sorry of Job. It is not Disturbed speaking, they are literally telling the story of Job. Disturbed was never "new age" philosophy : Drainman was in school to be a rabbi initially. There is a lot of faith and discussion in their music about God.
Its important to note that God does NOT do anything bad to us, he allows stuff to happen to us based on our strength of belief and the sin we commit. He wants us all to thrive and give him glory in it. How we react to the hard times and choose to deal with it is the way we give or not give glory to God. Love you guys....very good job with this channel.
So many choices for AILD, but yeah, My Own Grave is a good pick. I was so happy when they announced that they reformed. But since they split up I found a substitute which is now one of my fav band. Phinehas, absolutely underrated.
Fun fact about this song, they were told to cut some of the footage because alot of the scenery looked like 9/11 but they refused and put it on the internet instead of a music channel like mtv, im not joking, david draiman said it himself
The song Rapture by Hurt and specifically the lyric video because it'll have the complete song. The official music video cuts out key lyrics for some reason
After Mike said that God is patient and that all should come to repentance that hit me hard i teared up and looked up to God. This is me saying thank you for helping me open my eyes Mike and thank you Pastor Rob for making this channel. By the way I'm going to church on Sunday now.
2002 fellas .....I went to a concert when Korn was promoting "Untouchables" and Disturbed was promoting "Believe"....To this day the best show I've ever seen! I still think I'm partially deaf from that night
As much as I'd like to see a Solway Firth reaction... The Greatest Show On Earth by Nightwish, live at Tampere is an epic. I mean... If you want to be rocked and all. Good discussion topics for the channel as well. Just sayin'.
Disturbed have covered (that I remember off the top of my head): Walk by Pantera Shout by Tears for Fears (their version titled Sout2000) Land of Confusion by Genesis Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel. There might be others I'm forgetting but those have recorded covers on different albums from the band. Also, David's brother Ben did a cover of Striken, which is INCREDIBLE as a different take on something by Disturbed. And taking a step off from the topic of covers - I still think it'd be great to see you react to something by VNV Nation and hear your perspective on their music. Particular recommendation from me is "Carry You" - my personal favourite from the band. There's a fair number of other songs with very interesting soundscapes and lyrics throughout all their albums.
If I remember correctly, “Prayer” and its corresponding video was released near the time of 9/11. MTV wouldn’t air the video because it resembled the events of that horrible day. I can’t help but hear the lyrics as a reaction to the social environment and mentality of that time. There was a lot of fear and confusion in the wake of the attack on the Twin Towers-at least that’s how i felt. As mentioned before, it seems like he’s bewildered at how God can let such terrible things happen to innocent people. The connection to Job’s story is a good catch, too!
I don't think he's bewildered by it at all. He's talked about this on interviews but it's closer to god saying that kind of pain is something everyone goes through, and david's response is I'm going to use music to help me find the strength to get through that pain.
When is this channel going to do some Marilyn Manson? I mean, how can you even do a "pastor reacts" channel without including the Antichrist Superstar...
I have a few reasons why I searched for this song. It came from other songs and albums and a love of them. I was raised with religion. I hated God when my Mom died and my life fell apart and I didn’t know how to deal and I remember praying for over 10 hours each day i sat alone with her as a young kid in the hospital. She said that of anything will save her it’s prayers. Our church (in my young opinion then) would announce her each mass and Id cry and I’d hear the sympathies. Huge church. Only two people out of the BIG and “involved” congregation...I went to school and volunteered with young kids during it - which Ive always loved kids - and it was my escape but I was also desperate to get help to get to the library to spend time and feel important and distract myself. But the people there... they said they’d help with me - if they didn’t want me to stay home alone at night, at least i could get a ride from volunteering to see her. They didn’t come through. She died. They didn’t acknowledge me after i kept staying after she died because it was important to her. Maybe i was young. Maybe i was so bitter. Maybe i felt to alone. Maybe I just felt it was unfair. Anyway. The whole 5 months from her diagnosis to her dying, she asked people for their prayers to help her. She died. I was alone there and watched it. I got stuck with hospital staff for hours until someone decided to volunteer to drive me home, but it wasn’t a home anymore without her. I’m going to skip lots of stuff. But what I just want to ask is this: I think things happen for a reason. But this is the biggest thing that’s been over half of my life that I haven’t tried to learn or seek or pray or ANYTHING about to just try to hear even a GUESSED answer. Ive grown and tried to answer it. I’ve hated God since. My father is high up in his church (he’s Lutheran, but I grew up Roman Catholic my entire life from my Mom’s insistence). Is there any way for me to try to make sense of any of that? Just like in this song (idk if you know his story with god family and life etc), but as much as I try to hate religion...I trust both my parents’ belief in it and I just want some guidance or advice. Please. :)
First I believe God will raise you up and help you in the pain you have experienced. And in this complicated topic let me tell you that there are several things that may be complex due to the greatness of God. Now for me to not only tell you God is good and what happenned happened and you have to keep on moving. First there are things that we will never understand but God gives us ideas in order for us to keep on going. Second this world is evil and corrupted (even genetically ) and all the anomallies are not according to his original purpose but a consequence, God knew knowledge could be dangerous (sometimes we create stuff thinking is good and years later that type food can give you cancer and thats because we are human). Imagine Jesus who did nothing wrong was hated and suffered more than anyone else and that may be your case you didn't choose this. Now that aside, this does not mean that he does not love us, those of us who have suffered a lot mostly believe that he is against us but as someone who will always love us but is fair there are a lot of things that he has to do and wants to do and plenty of them we can not understand. But while you seek him I can surely tell you there is an answer. He says that all the things do good to those who love them and I believe that is a form in which he shows love to us in this chaotich world. He does not says everything is good. But he says to you that he loves you and even if you lived this tragical incident if you follow him he will somehow find a way for you to be alright. He did it in me and he continues to do it saving me from everything that happened and happens. Stay strong nothing wrong will come from someone who insists so much in telling you that he loves you in many ways. 😁✌ . Hope it helped
So, Dr Mike needs to NOT talk thru entire song. That was frustrating. Good things to say but should've waited till it was over imho. David's voice is amazing and when he took his leave from Disturbed for a few years and was doing the family thing even after doing Device, the rest was everything his vocals needed. When they returned with the Sound of Silence cover, you get to hear jist how exactly how great he is. Love Disturbed and jeep doing great tunes guys. Appreciate it.
God spoke to me in this, and I had an entirely different take on it!! This helped me survive the care and death of my mother at 50 years old from cancer. It was not pretty. This song gave me the strength to carry on and actually HAVE a faith in God that I had given up on due to judgemental crap and hypocrisy.
I would second that as well, great song! I believe the Empty Walls he refers to are the blown up and gutted buildings during war, he wants you to remain alive behind those empty walls, thru it all and survive! Hope that made sense, I'm not completely awake lol.
Ive listened to disturbed for years since they released "down with the sickness". Alot of his songs deal with christian ideals. The band is a mixture of different religions and there symbol is meant as UNITY. Its a excellent song and its known as a "new age/rock band. Listen to there albums and you can see its a good band. And yes less talking during the songs, because alot of these singers like david draiman put there heart, soul and feelings in there singing. Great job and keep it up.
As a Christian myself I have never shond any of the previous music I listened to before I become a Christian. I was able to change the original meaning of what the writer/singer meant to a Christianity style meaning which gave the song a total different meaning by far. Example Disturbeds song You're Mine is their first love song. In my head I turned it 180 degrees for Christianity
I saw it mentioned below, but David’s life has shaped his world views, and is a practicing Jew that has studied in Israel. This song plays into the theme of the album which is stated “the album is about questioning your beliefs to determine what you can really believe in” and was inspired by tragedy on both a personal level as well as what was happening in the world at the time. But you are correct that this song in particular is a conversation between David and God after the death of his grandfather and the 9/11 attacks. It is meant to affirm to God that his spirit and beliefs (Jewish) will not be broken despite what is thrown at him. It is also inspired by the way some clergy reacted to 9/11 by saying it was our own fault for being a decadent and promiscuous people.
I took "burn me alive inside" as when it says in the Bible, how we will be refined by fire. Maybe that he wants the sin and the negative feelings to be burned and to be burn in his love for God and since he's only filled with rage, this is the way he prays... But it's still a prayer and an attempt to learn to walk with God.
This song is about the singers life experience choosing to do music. He was jewish. His grandfather disowned him for the choice over him being a musician over a nurse. He didnt make ambends until his grandfather was on his death bed. Its beautiful
I dated a girl whose family was EXTREMELY Christian. I was Catholic at the time (middle school I might add). They would constantly tell me I was going to hell because I was Catholic and I listened to Disturbed almost exclusively (I was also a fan of Skillet, Green Day, and Metallica at the time). Needless to say we broke up shortly after and I got into even heavier music lol. Now it's Children of Bodom, Tool, Chelsea Grin, Suicide Silence, and Lacuna Coil
Surprised that it doesn't look like anyone's mentioned it yet, but David Draiman was raised in a devout Jewish environment (hence the singing style) so that he would reference Job isn't a surprise. Distrurbed has an amazing emotional depth that is missing in a lot of metal bands.
Back when this song came out I did some research on it, David did an interview where he explained the song. David is actually Jewish so the song really is based on Job.
Interesting analysis, especially the terrible loss that DMC and his family experienced shortly after this video. Prayers for your family and thanks for sharing
Listen to As I Lay Dying - Nothing Left. All of the members are Christian (frontman has lost and recovered his faith, but also served time in prison). Amazing band, they just got back together last year after being disbanded for years.

Glad we could encourage you. :-)
It was so nice to hear about your high school days over the song you're supposed to review, hope you do that every video....
You should do Inside the Fire by Disturbed, my favorite song by them
I cant ever watch the opening to that video without tears :(
I can't watch the 5 minute video without bursting into tears... 2 attempted suicides does that to you...
It's a hard video... one of my ex almost killed herself and that video really brings back all the pain from those times
@@ozzman123 understandable. I've had a friend who committed suicide a few months back. I wouldn't want a reminder like that from a reaction video.
YES!!! I heard the story behind the song and now I can’t not think about it every time I hear it. David’s voice and lyrics in that song are 🤯.
Interesting fact this song is in reference to the biblical story of Job
@Johnny13Ghost not originally but yea kinda. I'll see if I can find how David explains it
@Johnny13Ghost yes you are correct, the music video is designed based on Job.
Draiman explains, "It's like Job being put through trials and tribulations and still coming through unscathed and achieving his redemption."[1]
Upon release, various media outlets refused to air the music video for "Prayer", citing its alleged similarities to imagery from the September 11 attacks in the United States. We don't agree with that."[4] Draiman further criticizes the decision to take the video off of the air instead of other videos, "We don't have a character in our video who portrays Osama bin Laden and jumps and dances around, which is a direct recollective factor to 9/11."[4]
The intent of the music video was not to depict similarity to the September 11 attacks, according to Draiman.
I just am going by what David Draiman said in the video clip that is on the Believe album which can be seen by putting it in the computer.
iS tHAt a JoJo rEfErencE?
Tool's new song "Fear Inoculum".
Check their other cover Land of Confusion originally done by Genesis.
I second that motion
What I love about this album (and especially this song) is based on Job which is my favorite book. David wrote this around his father’s declining health and death.
That's incredible and deeply sad. Where did you find out? This has always been one of my favorite songs.
Slipknot’s releasing a new song on Monday called Solway Firth, it’d be super cool if y’all reacted to the new song?
Solway Firth is the new single?? 😁
Andrew Nelson yeah, if you run the teaser through Shazam it says it’s Solway Firth.
Brooooo are they really. Awesome!!!
I’m counting all the killllluuurrrsss
ARE THEY REALLY?!?!
React to “I’m not Jesus” - Apocalyptica ft Corey Taylor
Super excited to watch this video, one of my favourite all time bands and songs
EDIT: After seeing the video, I have to say Dr.
I totally concur!
Although i can appreciate the nostalgia, technical aspects of the music and the aesthetics of David D, there was way too much talking over the song. Anyone watching this video missed the message of the song. It was super disappointing that we were no able to appreciate the music because of the constant distraction.
Do some songs by the band “RED”
That would be great. Red is a huge influence of mine.
Especially their new song”The evening hate”
Especially “Breathe Into Me”
Let go was one of my favorites back in the day
Red is amazing!!!! And Christian inspired
Fit for a King, any of this three songs
The Price of Agony
When Everything Means Nothing
Oblivion
Oceans Ate Alaska, their song Hansha
Theocracy, their song Laying the Demon to Rest
Really enjoy the channel
Once again, Disturbed is my favorite band and I’m so glad you listened to this song. This is the first time I saw the lyrics, and before this I thought he was saying “Heaven just isn’t high enough’” instead of “Living just isn’t hard enough.” Lol.
Also 101.1 listen to them everyday going in to work and going home.
David was classically trained as a Cantor!
I almost didn't watch this because I know this song and am not a big Disturbed fan, but I'm glad I watched. You two pair well together and I love the back and forth with the Biblical knowledge. I'm really glad I found you and this channel. God bless!
In an interview David Draiman* explained the song and video as being about the modern day version of the biblical story of Job
Exactly
You could react to some of breaking Benjamin.
Anthem of the angels
Ashes of eden
Dear agony
Dark of you
Love the videos. Great to see you reach out to so many by bringing God's message in a way that is not judgmental or forceful. Would be great to see a video on Adonai by Hurt.
"Ever since the dawning age all our very lives were shaped and worshiped to our Lord.
Well, heaven helped, Heaven held, Heaven's help just helped themselves do what the hell they want
." - Hurt (Adonai)
You guys sort of missed the point, yet you were holding it: this is the sorry of Job. It is not Disturbed speaking, they are literally telling the story of Job.
Disturbed was never "new age" philosophy : Drainman was in school to be a rabbi initially. There is a lot of faith and discussion in their music about God.
I remember this coming out sometime after September 11, 2001, and stations refused to air the video because of the imagery.
I love this being proud Christian and proud fan of my favorite rock band Disturbed 🙏🏼💛🤘
Then how the fuck are you a ' Christian'?
This is the way I pray
Watching this reaction's hard AF
Mute this guy's voice inside
Watching this reaction's hard AF
Take this man's voice awaaaaay
“Infra-red” by three days grace.
Please and thank you
“Life is beautiful” sixxam
Pro God Pro life Pro Gun I totally agree with Infra-Red!
Great reaction to some old school nu metal. My Own Grave by As I Lay Dying? Next? Maybe? #DMC
So many choices for AILD, but yeah, My Own Grave is a good pick.
I was so happy when they announced that they reformed.
But since they split up I found a substitute which is now one of my fav band.
Phinehas, absolutely underrated.
Yes for sure love that song.
@@SephirothDA Phinehas is awesome!
Fun fact about this song, they were told to cut some of the footage because alot of the scenery looked like 9/11 but they refused and put it on the internet instead of a music channel like mtv, im not joking, david draiman said it himself
rapture hurt would have alot of intresting stuff to discuss as well as false kings by poets of the fall
Yes I'd love to see a reaction vid to this song
agree about rapture - hurt
How do we get them to see this?
Couldn't finish this video....you guys talked all the way through it.....wow....
You need to do Shinedown - Cut The Cord. Every time my 3 year old gits in the truck he ask for the freedom song,
Brett VanDuyn I second this motion! 🤘
The song Rapture by Hurt and specifically the lyric video because it'll have the complete song. The official music video cuts out key lyrics for some reason
React to Korn - You'll Never Find Me!
You've never done Korn...it's time!
YES or Black is the soul either one!
After Mike said that God is patient and that all should come to repentance that hit me hard i teared up and looked up to God. This is me saying thank you for helping me open my eyes Mike and thank you Pastor Rob for making this channel. By the way I'm going to church on Sunday now.
NIGHTWISH - Ghost Love Score (OFFICIAL LIVE) Wacken 2013 Please 🙏🙏🙏
YES!
@@Eyrothath one of the best live performances, if not the best.
2002 fellas .....I went to a concert when Korn was promoting "Untouchables" and Disturbed was promoting "Believe"....To this day the best show I've ever seen! I still think I'm partially deaf from that night
TOOL HAS A NEW SONG!!!! Pleaaaaaase react to Fear Inoculum!!!!
let's listen to Mike talk over the whole song and make this video all about him....
You guys should do The Light by Disturbed.
Ian Braun agreed!
Totally!
Yes!!!
Glad you reacted to prayer, my favorite song by disturbed. Whether I agree with what you say or not I really enjoy and respect this channel.
As much as I'd like to see a Solway Firth reaction...
The Greatest Show On Earth by Nightwish, live at Tampere is an epic.
I mean... If you want to be rocked and all. Good discussion topics for the channel as well. Just sayin'.
Disturbed have covered (that I remember off the top of my head):
Walk by Pantera
Shout by Tears for Fears (their version titled Sout2000)
Land of Confusion by Genesis
Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel.
"Living after midnight" and "midlife crisis" they have covered as well.
I think you should react to IMPENDING DOOM - the SERPENT'S TONGUE
React to literally anything from Behemoth’s The Satanist album. Preferably “O Father O Satan O Sun”.
if only they would watch satanic Christmas carols. we all want the edgy stuff....
God once showed me that he doesn't test us to SEE how far we will trust him, but to SHOW US how far we will trust him.
When is this channel going to do some Marilyn Manson? I mean, how can you even do a "pastor reacts" channel without including the Antichrist Superstar...
Nevermore - This Godless Endeavour or Deconstruction would be amazing songs to review, especially given the theological perspective.
Do A Lamb of god song!! Walk With Me In Hell Or Vigil would be awesome!!
But what I just want to ask is this:
I think things happen for a reason.
Forget all these other suggestions you need to do Empty Walls by Serj Tankian.
I second that.
I would second that as well, great song! I believe the Empty Walls he refers to are the blown up and gutted buildings during war, he wants you to remain alive behind those empty walls, thru it all and survive! Hope that made sense, I'm not completely awake lol.
Thanks for talking through the song. I can now leave very early. F A I L
you really should listen to The Hu - Wolf Totem. mongolian metal
Wow! Your discussion was exactly what I needed to hear tonite. Thx.
You should do Amigo the Devil - preacher feature.
I'm subbed. I found you at a very crucial moment in my life. Thank you.
Please never have him back
MR. Ryan well said! That guy was soo annoying
Please, react to "Infected" by Demon Hunter.
During the wash of light, time is paused. Nobody is confused, they just aren't moving relative in time to the vocalist.
Please react to this calling by all that remains or I'm broken by pantera
As a Christian myself I have never shond any of the previous music I listened to before I become a Christian. I was able to change the original meaning of what the writer/singer meant to a Christianity style meaning which
gave the song a total different meaning by far. Example Disturbeds song You're Mine is their first love song. In my head I turned it 180 degrees for Christianity
Next, please react to TOOLS NEW song!!!
Kamelot - Memento Mori
I took "burn me alive inside" as when it says in the Bible, how we will be refined by fire. Maybe that he wants the sin and the negative feelings to be burned and to be burn in his love for God and since he's only filled with rage, this is the way he prays... But it's still a prayer and an attempt to learn to walk with God.
The green man talked waay to much
Going to see Disturbed live in Billings MT on the 28th of July so excited, I have listened to Disturbed ever since the first album
Holy crap that dude talks too much
This song is about the singers life experience choosing to do music. He was jewish. His grandfather disowned him for the choice over him being a musician over a nurse. He didnt make ambends until his grandfather was on his death bed. Its beautiful
Guy talks to damn much!!
Those last chapters of Job are so powerful and remind me of God's power... cuz sometimes I do forget.
Why did you talk all the way through this masterpiece?? David Draiman has an amazing voice...
Great video it would have been a great reaction too had you guys not talked over the entire song.
Alright, I just discovered this channel, and can't wait to see your reaction to Behemoth song. I'd love to see Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel
This was released in 2001 pastor rob and was actually controversial because the music video came out shortly before or after 9/11.
