    BTW, you can also go to:
    Edit > Preferences >Addons > Add Mesh-Extra Objects > Enable/Check
    And when you Shift+A, you get a lot more additional shapes, like diamonds and rocks, to use in a rock garden or something

    Just what I was looking for, thank you. And it still works perfectly in Blender 4.1 for those using a newer version.

    Thank you for the tutorial. I am very new to Blender particularly it's functions. (wish the tutorial had been a little slower for me.) I had a problem with getting my sphere to break into a pile of rocks and kept getting long jagget pile like shaped rocks. Did it four times and still same. At least I got to learn the animation setup. It was fun. Blender (v.2.9.3.1)

    Followed your very detailed tutorial however I ran into a problem at the end. My rocks will no longer animate. I believe the join and transform operations need to be reversed, however I do not know now to do that. Can you advise? Thanks

    • @RajeshJustaguy
      @RajeshJustaguy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you apply transform or visual transform you lose all the previous position data. If you want it to animate you dont need to apply the transform

    I want these rocks around a tree, so I wanted to move some of them individually so they weren't coming out of the tree. I can only select the rigid body off on them 1 at a time for some reason. When I apply to selected as we did before, it does not seem to apply to all of the rocks when I deselect the rigid body. Any suggestions??

    Hello. Could you please help me with this:- I want is to have A Cell fractured Sphere either fly through the air and crash into a wall and the Sphere break up on crashing. I do not want the Sphere to hit the wall and damage the wall because that is easy to do. My final objective is to have a superhero get hit by a canon ball and for the ball to break up in impact. So is there anyway I could get the gravity settings to make an object move horizontally before impacting another object.

    How do we texture the rocks, do we need to texture one by one after apply transformation ? Or use a procedural shader ?

    First off let me say thank you to everybody who puts tutorials online for blender and for virtually everything I suppose. I have an issue. When I try to hit control j. It says "active object is not a selected mesh." I have done the tutorial from beginning to that part three times using different meshes and it will not do it. Just curious to know if anybody else has this issue. I'm using 2.9 Thank you in advance

      I have the same thing, either I see that error or it seemingly has no error but doesn't copy over the settings at all, meaning you have to setup each on individually. It's so stupid that you cannot select all pieces and group assign these parameters like every other 3d package under the sun.

    • @jedijew
