Everybody is different...that's what makes the world go 'round. So, that said I REALLY appreciate the time you took to make these (Porsche) vids. I am currently in the market for a street Porsche. I race/track a Trans Am GT1 Mustang so I've got the, "wild hair," covered. I also have a twin turbo 964-based RSR (by Patrick Motorsports...don't EVER go there...took 3 1/2 years to get my car back after which it ran for one day and died) which is quite visceral. So, I am quite lucky...and I know it (not really that rich but no kids and a prenup on the ex OK?). But still, like a lot of guys out there I've loved Porsche's my while life and would like a special one to take and see my best bud (50 years best friends) and girl. That means street time. I've ALWAYS been hard core on the driving experience, but now that I"m 56 (and am fortunate enough to have car other wishes filled) I think I'm leaning toward a (used) Turbo S. I offer up this in the same vein as our host: to provide insight, and help with the angst of laying down a LARGE sum of $ on something you hope will be happy with (kinda like a wife hugh?). So, to keep it brief I think we need a summary here:
    1. Turbo S's are GREAT cars that can be had in today's market AT A DISCOUNT (see Jalopnick. "Why you should buy a Turbo S Instead of a GT3 RS)
    2. For street cars GT3's have A LOT of road noise.
    3. Manual's beat auto's (any auto) on the street.
    4. I wish I had paddle shifters and anti-lock on my Trans Am car.
    5. If you think a Turbo is a, "whistle wagon," (I did) you can straight pipe it.
    6. Porsche is NOW making room for batteries in their next gen 911 (Porsche has said battery tech has not become efficient enough to start putting them in their sports cars...but they're coming). So today's cars (especially the normally aspirated ones) are going away.
    7. Adding power to a turbo car is like rolling off a log (easy), all you need is a software upgrade (try that with a GT3...)
    8. I LOVE GT3's and will probably never own one.
    9. An FBI buddy was giving me advice on buying a gun. He asked, "what's the mission?" I took his advice on my purchase and was so impressed with the simplicity I applied it elsewhere...You should too when you buy your next ride. You are welcome...

I drove a Turbo S on the track at the Porsche driving school at Barber Motorsports Park near Birmingham. I liked it a lot. I liked it better than the GTS on the track and yeah, I know that is odd. Launch control was face smearing. The thing I liked best was I was driving a $200k car on a track at speed following a pro driver and it was no different than driving any other car. Not intimidating at all. I think that is why some people find Porsches to be boring.
BTW, these are my favorite videos. I appreciate them because you have owned more than one P-car and you know something about them unlike a lot of the "reviewers" who are out there. Things like exhaust note are personal and as a long time viewer, I know that you have your likes and dislikes when it comes to sound. But the overall driving experience videos are what I like. Seeing you as the owner of a $200k+ RS loving a GT4...OK, really enjoying a GT4, just makes me happy.

Very informative video. If I had any small bone to pick would be comparing a 2nd Gen 991 with an exhaust and a tune with a stock 1st gen 991Turbo. I'd venture to guess that the difference between the stock models of the same generation would be far less dramatic. That being said, you have a new sub!
