Porsche is the Only car maker who has the talent to create a perfect super car and fit it into a daily use one! you want to go to work in a Porsche?? take a 911 turbo... you want to go for a race??? take a 911 turbo... you want to go to a nice reception where everyone has to come well dressed/nice looking??? take a 911 turbo... you want to show off??? tak a 911 turbo... it's not a mclaren/la ferrari/lambo, which is an "event" car, Porsche makes cars for every single day enjoyment! your money is well spent!

@@russellcoight1718 Ferrari’s and Lambo’s are more show-off cars that aim to stand out. Generally speaking, most people who buy Ferrari/Lambo are buying it to show off rather than buying it for it’s engineering / driving capability. Plus any idiot with money can buy a Ferrari/lambo without even knowing which model it is. Whereas someone who buys a Turbo / Turbo S knows what they’re getting and appreciates the performance & refinement

All the dislikes because people loving Clarkson need to remember it's 100% his own fault that he got fired, and 100% his own fault Top Gear isn't how you want it to be. Go rage at him.
Of course, that would make logical sense, and trolling dipsticks would rather just tubthump and spam dislike, because HURDUR I DUN LIKE IT HURDUR.
Still , Chris' videos are the only ones with the new crew that still get more likes than dislikes , and that just says how apreciated is the guy amongst propper car guys.

There may also be dislikes for how Chris Harris used to have a biting critical edge to his reviews, which was blunted when he got back into bed with Ferrari and has been made worse by the BBC's censorship

Am i the only one that is happy Chris got this oportunity to get on TV but at the same time is sad that he doesn't do crazy things on his on channel? I mean... he used to do such interesting tests and videos on his channel. This is great too , but it just doesn't have the Harris stamp on it. Also , Kyalami is a really beautiful track , i hope F1 gets back there sometime.
This guy is cool. He ain't Clarkson but lets face it there wont ever be another Clarkson in this show.
I think you can find another Clarcson, but you can't make a team like Clarcson, May and Hamond

I really wish people would separate the show from the reviewer... Chris Harris is one of the best automotive journalists out there. I know... his videos consistently have more likes than dislikes, but still, just seems disrespectful to his work product.

kleinbottled79 I think that's a poor way to look at it. Jeremy Clarkson has made some of the best reviews we've ever seen on Top Gear. For Example his review on the Mercedes Benz SLR, Porsche Carrera GT, and McLaren P1 were priceless. Jeremy Clarkson along with Richard Hammond are my all time favorites.
I'll admit Chris is amazing and anyone who argues that is crazy, but Hammond and Clarkson gave the best reviews from my perspective.
I didn't say Harris is better. My statement was intended to defend Clarkson if anything. I wanted to point out it was an apples to oranges comparison, and they both have individual strengths. Is that really a poor way to look at it? Did you perhaps intend to respond to the OP? Seems you and I agree more than disagree. Hmm
To me, the confidence this car gives me as an average driver is more enjoyable than the thrill I might get from a rawer car. Every aspect of the driving experience is near perfection, but the way each element harmonizes with the others creates an awe-inspiring effect greater than the sum of its parts. There is a ghost in the machine that makes me feel like a superhero. That being said, the sheer violence of the acceleration, braking, and cornering abilities still makes me shout out loud on occasion.
Couple this reality with 4 seats(!), practical and luxury features you would expect in an S-Class (including the best car stereo I have ever heard) along with a reassuring stoutness and (knock on wood) consistent reliability, and you wind up with a total package that I firmly believe is the best all-around supercar ever made.

The great thing about Chris Harris, is that he is Chris Harris.
For the lot of us who followed him from "Chris Harris on Cars", he hasn't really changed has he? And that is important!
Not trying to be one of the old three and just recycle the old formula, but instead keep producing what probably got him the TG gig in the first place. Great videos, high production value like TG have had in the last years, proper feedback on the cars, just enough technical details and a funny side to it as well. Oh, and a pretty decent driver if I might add.

Good solid review... just not the Top Gear fun we're accoustomed to.
I feel like that's why everyone is disliking the video. Just cause Jeremy isn't yelling POWAHHHH and cool graphics are flashing around. It's unfair to Chris and Rory who are crazy gearheads and put huge amounts of effort into the reviews.
I drive my 997 Turbo, here in Mexico, where there are no speed limits, sort of, lol. I absolutely love this car, it reminds me of a really hot go cart I drove when I was around 12. I don’t think I have had so much fun since. Such a well engineered, simple to work on, sexy yet somewhat subdued car, compared to the Italian options. I really want a second one, in the Cab version. The 997’s are very affordable, and will hold their value at these levels. Porsche rules!

Personally I don't care about the Top Gear name brand franchise, as long as the car reviewer is entertaining I'll keep watching, the Top Gear concept that was created by the last bunch was special but unfortunately everybody grows old and moves on, that a fact of life that we as the viewers have to realize and accept.

This car is a dagger in your pocket, nobody notices but once u take out to unleash it's true potential it surprises.
Funny thing is Chris, just one year later in 2017 and Porsche came out with the 700hp Turbo S...which exhaust just screams out power and makes this one sound like a wuss!

So this is the Chris Harris that was the Chris Harris before Chris Harris was the Chris Harris on Top Gear that just wasn't the original Chris Harris....Chris please stop trying to be Richard Hammond on Top Gear and just be this Chris Harris because this is the one we like...the one that enjoys driving, gives good reviews, talks serious car stuff and just makes good driving videos.
Love my '15 C7 Stingray but this 911 Turbo S is still a dream car of mine. Big challenger to 911 is a McLaren 570S which is in the same price range.

Chris Harris IS Cars!! Even on Top Gear. One request..GIVE HIM MORE AIR TIME!! With or without TG, Chris was and will be arguably THE bar for automotive journalist to match.
Do not put a blame in the altitude. Turbocharged vehicles do not lose power in high altitudes in the same way NA cars do. As a matter of fact, turbochargers were developed for this exact reason. In airplanes, where turbocharges first spawned, the boost pressure is 0bar. Yes, 0 (considering 0 = atmospheric pressure at sea level). The reason for that is that once the plane goes up, atmospheric pressure goes down (that would be, less than 0bar), so the turbocharger kicks in and boosts the pressure back to zero, giving the engine the same performance it would have at sea level.
"Now this 911 turbo thing" man, I think Porsche should let Chris Harris name their cars

I'd always thought that turbocharging nullified the effect of density altitude; i.e. the field elevation at the track should have little effect on the power output of the engine because the turbochargers dictate manifold pressure. Educate me Mr. Harris, because you are the best!
The 911 Turbo stopped needing more Fast when made the 997.2 Turbo S. Can't imagine how more insane this is versus that beast.

When i see Porsche 911,first press Like..amazing car!
Surprised he said this engine was laggy while on the F80 M3, he said there was no noticeable turbo lag..... hmmm extremely surprised to hear that.
I suspect the reason they took that car to that specific track is possibly because Porsche recently bought that track and removed everything from the old track for a complete renovation hence the track looks so good. They probably have big plans in terms of vehicle testing and shows etc.
