I'm someone who has been on the Go Road dozens and dozens of times. Anyone who drives it no matter what time of year should be aware there are no services or cell service . If you get a flat or brake down, you are on your own. Over the years, I've had 3 flats up there. I also wanted to mention I've hiked between the two dead ends. It was very rewarding but it is a lot further that one may think. It took all day. I hope to do it again some day.
Great advice! All accurate. I've had friends tell stories of being stuck up there for a long time, one broke an oilpan on a rock. Amazing that you went from end to end as well, you are one of the few it seems. We are glad we didn't try and day hike it, as it does seem longer than expected!
That is very cool, thanks for sharing. That road is very rough, we saw lots of debris and things in the road that could ruin a trip, especially while driving on the Gasquet side. You're right though, the hike definitely seems a lot longer than just 5-6 miles. It took us a good while, event after we dropped our overnight packs with about 1.5 miles left, it took us a few hours. Not for the faint of heart but very rewarding and incredible. -Aleks
it funny to hear the name BOBO his looking for bigfoot for 5 yrs on tv and never saw one? the only deal he made was to tell the producers he would find one , BUT NEVER DID?
Its good to see bobo he was always my favorite every show hes ever been on hes looking good lost quite a bit of weight good for him keep squatching bobo 👍🏻
I know this area well, live on the other side of the 199 in the jed smith national recreation area, off grid ,a few years back during a large fire I stayed on the mountain to protect the structures, and about 3 am in the morning I was on my deck doing a check ,and all the sudden I heard a strange whoop type howl ,came from out quarry, then 2 different tree knocks from opposite ends of the ranch ,every hair on my body stood ,I've talked to a few folks out here that say they've seen one I'm a believer without a doubt
My initial thought was - not Bluff creek yet again - but this episode was refreshingly different with a unique history, story of the Go road. Thanks Aleks and other guys.
Thanks! It's pretty surprising nobody has really told the story of the G-O road yet, especially given it's pretty significant connection to Bluff Creek and the Bigfoot topic. It's a very dynamic story that involved a lot of different aspects! Glad I was able to tell the story in a way I don't think it has been told before. -Aleks
Spectacular production fellas! I’ve been “into” BF since I was little boy… my grandfather told Me about them.. and my family would tease me.. but I’ve never heard of this “Go Road” before…but I had checked out the Bigfoot book our junior high library had a minimum of 10x from 7th-9th grade… I remember staring at the picture of Patty accumulating time from the junior high probably three hours worth… just thinking to myself, that’s a real creature. Just imagine if Bob & Roger never Saddled up that faithful day…..
Oh yea! Just got home from church and lunch. Time to be lazy w my family until work tmrw am. This video will work perfectly for post church nap.💤 the wife and baby conks out, but don’t you worry..I always watch the whole video. Thanks guys!
Thank You so much for this video! I saw my first bigfoot sighting on that road in 2021. I did a video about it called Willow Creek - about a 34 minute film. Anyway, I had the exact same feeling when I first drove up the Go Road! I was prepared to put my 4Runner in four wheel drive, but was amazed at how good the road was. The vastness of this area is just crazy. I have talked to Jonathan Easley and was hoping to meet up with him in Bluff Creek in 2022, but my plans got changed. Hopefully, I will get back there in 2025.
Really interesting, thanks for sharing man! That area truly is incredible and the story of the G-O road adds another element of intrigue to the overall Bluff Creek/Northern California story and uniqueness. -Aleks
Hi Aleks! A few years back I traveled from Willow Creek to Yreka through highway 299 & 96. This is definitely bigfoot country. Impressive land & forest. The drive was about 3 hrs. I thought in any minute now, I was going to see a bigfoot cross the road. Unfortunately, I did not see one but the drive was amazingly beautiful! However, I did see a juvenile bigfoot off the 5 freeway in Washington state. It had black & white fur with grayish skin. Truly enjoyed this exploration with you guys. Thanks, Aleks! 🥰
Was so looking forward to this after it was announced. Wonderful video. Im from England and have travelled to this area a few times but never along the GO road. Would need a companion for my next visit.
Right? I hope to travel through this region again. I'm over in the SE US now and probably won't get back for at least a few years. But oh my goodness. I wouldn't take those drives alone again! 😂😊
Back in '85 I was working a Forest Service trail crew out of Oak Knoll, and was assigned to be the FS supervisor with a California Conservative Corps Backcountry trail crew to build the trail connecting the roads. We worked from the Orleans side, camped in a big meadow, and with probably 15 people overall, and the necessary kitchen to feed them, we soon had big bear problems. I had a big Chesapeake Bay Retriever, that loved chasing bears out of camp, by the end they were chasing him. No bigfoot sightings though.
Thank you for this one Aleks! This one was extra special for me. I live near this area and lived in Crescent City as a kid. Been through these areas many times. Thank you for another awesome video! ❤🙏
Thank you Alek. This video was very informative and interesting. I’m glad you’re back doing Bigfoot videos. I love them. Can’t wait until your next one. Take care
This was very interesting and informative. I appreciate it as I'll probably never make it to Northern California to see it for myself. Those print tracks in the snow was amazing!
Ive heard the Go rd mentioned often over the years watching pnw bigfoot docs. Thanks for the idea to highlight the go rd for us. It gives a great sense of that area. Very cool. Quite remote. On my bucket list now! Gotta drive the go rd
Thanks! It's been mentioned before but I don't think anybody really covered it in any serious fashion until now! Glad to have been able to cover this amazing area. -Aleks
I love watching your vide of the outdoors you have over there in the USA 🇺🇸..I'm from Northwest of England and besides the lakes we don't have the same kind of wildernesses like you lucky pups do..very jealous indeed.. hope I get to visit the US before I can't ha😂
0:32 Bobo. That's the man there. I didn't even recognize him , but I knew that voice. Looking a little light but hey he's still the best bigfoot stand in ever. Nice to see you Big Bobo
Totally agree with the road to remain as is💚👣🌲and should be protected💯👍 Your content informative and beautiful scenery footage amazing💚👣 Merry Christmas Alek to you, family and ALL🌲🎅🌲☃️❤️👋
Good film. I live not far from the Go road. My family has been going up there since beginning of time for ceremony purposes. Many Bigfoot tracks and weird sings but the big man will only show himself if you’re spiritual inclined somehow someway.
I grew up in this area, hunting, hiking, off roading and camping. Seen a thing or two in the back country. Used to hike yearly into the Devil's Punchbowl and that is a creepy place.
Keep on trucking bro ther out there I've spent the majority of my life in the mountains I'm a miner and a fisherman Sierra nation forest I've been in the forest since I was 10 years old I am 68 years old I've seen a lot one of these days it will happen. Rob from Fresno California.
Between this video and Eli's video about New Mexico UAPs, I'm thinking about a long road trip, hell 66 now and have been in 23 different countries in my life time. Time to explore the Southwest and Northwest, never know I might see the Big Fella again. Great information, Thank Alec
I'm 63 now and still remember the 1st time it was shown on television and My 1st impression was, real , no doubts and Mr. Patterson and Mr. Gimlin were very sincere and credible . Just My humble opinion
It's so much the foot size that gets me in awe of them,it's the length of the strides..must be a massive massive squatch and that was a juvenile ha,wow
My old stomping grounds 1979-1983. College of The Redwoods grad. Knew a guy from Hoopa. Tubing in Willow Creek off hwy 299, the road through town had giant (yellow?) 👣 footprints painted on the road. The Strange Place series has been awesome. Very interesting and filled with facts.
The production is underrated in their industry.
That means a lot, I appreciate the kind words! -Aleks
Incredible video! Thank you so much for showing us this, I almost wish I could visit the area right now.
You guys did a good job of showing the go roads history
It makes sense why this area has such a history of sightings

It is an amazing place but not for the inexperienced . I have some amazing stories if you ever want to write me personally @westernbigfootexploration
Yes its so up and down definately seems more than 5 miles.
Totally. @@daveski4496

it funny to hear the name BOBO his looking for bigfoot for 5 yrs on tv and never saw one? the only deal he made was to tell the producers he would find one , BUT NEVER DID?
