Midyear Mayhem was my first eso event. It became my favourite. I went to IC when I was only level 22 at the time. Died a lot, of course, but this never stopped me from experiencing the event and the rewards. Today, I try to bring other friends who are new or hesitant to dip their toes in eso pvp during this event. Thank you for the detailed guide : )
Another high-quality video, huge thanks @Ninja Pulls. At the time of this writing, I'm working on a PVP specific toon. I wasn't into PVP in any other game, but I haven't given ESO PVP a chance. I figured that I'm paying for this type of content, I might as well check it out.
Thank so much for the wonderful feedback! And perfect timing 😀 If you have any questions, just hop on our Discord and ask. We’re also planning a few runs in Cyro during the event on PC. discord.com/invite/ninjapulls
One thing I want to highlight for PVE only players, do the Cyrodiil tutorial quests on all your characters for that Continuous Attack passive. That 30% mount speed is active permanently across the game, not just in PVP! Thats an additional month's worth of daily mount speed upgrades! Then, whilst you are there, explore a bit and grab a few skill shards. Thank you for this great guide!
Thank you and ABSOLUTELY!! Especially during the event when you get double AP! I even include this in my beginner guide for players just starting up! Go get your mount speed 😝

@@NinjaPulls That's true! I think it's a good reason to finally make my Arcanist character and follow your beginners guide! :D
WARNING: The U50 campaign is significantly less beginner friendly. It is mostly populated by twinkers who remake lowbie toons over and over, gearing them out in a new set of gold gear every two levels. They literally have sets made for every two levels between 12-48 in many cases. They also have very hard to access sets like under level 50 Zoals. You are much better off going into the main campaigns, which, ironically, are much more beginner friendly because there are more large guilds willing to recruit and help new players.
@@NinjaPulls There are not lots, but a small number of guilds on each faction completely dominate the U50s campaign like it's their own little kingdom.
2 things missing from what i saw. an explanation on the scrolls boost and the emperor skill line. upon becoming an emperor, the player get a skill line. the skill line is lost when not an emperor anymore and the skills are all passives. more maxz stats, more damage dealt with siege weapons, etc. it's also all maxed from the start, so no need to level it up. i know this for having been one myself, but there are so little information about it that there's barely anyone knowing about it, when i tell this to other players and some were there since eso's beginning.
I wish there was a PvE only version of Cyrodiil and Imperial City. Mostly because many PvE parts of it can be blocked off depending on your faction and how much they control. Players can be avoided, but if you want to do quests in an area controlled by another faction, well, you're screwed.
best design for an open pvp zone ive seen in a game but a shame its ruined by people looking at which faction is winning then logging into an alt of that faction, look at the NA icereach night now that can only happen because of this
DO NOT SKIP the full quest! You'll have to actually do more PVP to get level 3 in your assault skill line if you do. Quest only takes like 5 minutes to actually finish.
@@regulator18E I don't think you understand either of those words. It's typical realm vs realm pvp pioneered by DAOC. The only thing really separating them are the maps, and the differences in combat systems. But it's a type of pvp that has been prevalent since at least DAOC, and considering the devs of DAOC came to zos, it's literally the successor to DAOC rvrvr.
Cyro is the most beginner friendly PVP you can get. You don't have to worry about letting anyone down, because you can just go in and figure things out on your own. You can look for big sieges and get your feet wet from the protection of a large group. There are no penalties for dying, aside from a bit of travel time, so you don't have to worry much about taking risks. Setting up siege weapons and forward camps and repairing walls and doors are useful things you can do without having to actually win a direct fight.
@@1Apep1 No it isn't. Ironically actual competitive PvP games are far more beginner friendly because they all have leagues / MMR / matchmaking, so new players don't face players with thousands of hours experience. Which is also one of the reasons they are successful whilst Cyrodiil and similar games are not.
It really is not. I get my 50 transmutes per month on multiple chars without even changing to any PvP builds. Just hop in and join a group or the battle wherever it is. If no battle I just go to nearest controlled town and do the 10 town dailies for the reward coffers.
ESO is an embarrasing bugfest that ZOS doesnt care to fix as long as you keep shoveling money at them. You cant even pvp in cyrodiil cause the lag spikes will eat your inputs. This game is barely more than the failure fallout 76 was, and by the same people. Don't waste your money on this horrible game guild wars is better

Very well made video!!! Love the enthusiasm for Cyro ❤
Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback 🤩
Great overview video, especially that you mentioned the performance issues. Hats off to you.

This is a good point. Not sure how many of these players really exist but you’re right, they are out there. Thanks for mentioning it!

Maya is such a good narrator! I enjoyed this. 🙂
Aww! Thanks very much!
Wonderful Cyrodiil guide, do you have one for Imperial City as well?
Thank you very much for the feedback and not yet 😉
This is an excellent video!! 🙌
Thank you. ☺️ Goad you liked it!
I've been playing since day 1 and I learnt from this video. This is why I love ninja pulls ❤
Thank you!! your the only video that actually explained how to get out of Cyrodiil !!
Woo Woo, it was frustrating...but a million thanks!!!
Amazing! Glad you liked it and thanks for the feedback 🤩
I do love me some cyro

Thanks for the addendum. We wanted to keep the video from getting too long, but this is a very good point.
@@NinjaPulls you're welcome. ;-)
Aye yo I have never seen that blue portal area where is that
It’s in the centre of the sewers
That’s the heart of Imperial Sewers! No spoiler, but it’s a BIG boss fight 😝
Nice guide

The red reing
EP FOREVER
unfortunately i just can give 1 upvote. Even as a veteran (but PvE) player i appreciate that quite much. Pls keep doing!
Haha!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful comment. I really appreciate that and we’re not going anywhere. 🤩
Lagrodill
Unique? Gw2 has really similar 3 faction open world pvp
Similar? So not the same, so this is still unique.

It sucks Ive played eso for 7 years but never seen Cyrodill because its PVP only - it should be pvp flag zone then other people could enjoy it.
Pvp? What pvp.....
Zos dev.
lol
I know your comment would make Brian Wheeler very sad, but it has been a while. Fingers crossed for the PvP update coming in a few months.

pvp is to inaccessible for casual players who don’t have 10 years experience. To much sweats
too much proc sets you mean
Not true. We take new players in all the time and with good advice and leadership, they smash it!
