Cube: MoYu WeiLong WRM v9 (20-Magnet Ball Core and Maglev)
Setup: 6 compression clicks, medium-tight tensions, Gravitas on pieces
Thank you so much to MoYu for sending me this cube! I meant to upload this two weeks ago, but the wait helped me formulate my ideas on this cube.
Out if the box, the cube was very fast and flexible, which is not what I am used to. I was getting times slightly worse than normal, but I really enjoyed the feeling of the cube. This feeling is a mix of the original v9’s smoothness with similar tactility of the Super WeiLong.
After solving with my typical setup, my original times came back. After using it in two competitions, I can say that it performs nearly as well as the Super WeiLong. I am unsure if I will continue using the v9 over the Super WeiLong, but it will at least be my backup main.
Note: I tried using springs in this cube (from the Super RS3M v2), and I found the flexbility increased. I do not desire that effect, so I switched back to Maglev. I have heard that Steven Wintringham saw promising results with springs, so I may have to try that again later.

Nice job 😱
Thank you brother
🔥
niceeee
does the 20 mag make it more stable or faster? is it a better option than the super weilong because its expensive
thecubicle has a review on it
I don't think the 20 magnet ball-core makes the cube faster, but maybe it makes it a bit more stable. It's a good option, especially if you don't want to spend more for a Super WeiLong.
@BrianJohnsonCubing Just curious, Is the magnet strength significantly weaker than the super weilong? Does it make thr cube to flexible? Im deciding to buy it because super weilong to expensive lol
@@echo6509 the magnet strength is around the middle setting of the Super WeiLong. The cube is also more flexible.
nissy
nissy telling me that I did not find optimal off DR 😭

Sounds very clacky? Impressive solves!
Thank you! It doesn't really feel clacky tbh, idk why it sounds like that lol
how did u learn zb? i js feel demotivated
I learned a while ago, but learn them in small sets, pairing cases with similar recognition together. Using an alg trainer like bestsiteever.ru is helpful too.
Do you know full ZB?
He knows T U and half of L
@@wallford49 he now knows some sunes too
Full T and U, ~2/3 of L, and ~1/2 of Sunes
it's all fun and games until you make 1 wrong move and break the cube apart
but i love it all the same.
nah that doesn't happen :)
