Reminder that i'm Just one guy reading this manga and i found all these issues. The fact is that there is a lot of issues in this one arc that i most likely missed and the fact that no One Piece "reviewers" have talked about any of these issues is shameful. As an example i remember Tekking101 tearing Bleach apart because he said that the true Zangetsu reveal was a retcon but when Gomu Gomu No Mi was retconned into Nika he jumped from joy cheering and yelling and this is the case with 99% of OP reviewers.

Sanji quickly realized that she was in Tea Party in Chapter 1075 even though he was with Pudding. He ignored her, let alone mentioned it, and Luffy and the others were also ignored. As a note in Wano Sanji had seen Ulti and already had a crush like Who is this cutie or something ? and luffy ignored it. That's the state of this series.

You can check with Wano Arc as an example Kozuki Hiyori or Orochi please name 1 or 2 scenes or places where they talked to Luffy during the Wano arc. I'm not talking about the end. This stuff about Saturn ignoring Luffy while he could kill him happens in every arc of the new world. Anyone who watched Luffy without power with Doflamingo after him knew those people from the collosseum couldn't make him loose 5 minutes,yet they still have superficial wounds and he stays there butchering them and doesn't go straight to Luffy.😑😑 Even during Marineford only Akainu was going for the kill and Kizaru just kicked Luffy to White Beard's hand. Luffy has ridiculous plot armor and the dumbest enemies so how could he not succed?😂😂
Its not inconsistent at all for Saturn to disparage Nika to those who believe in him. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t believe in his existence, but its meant to crush their spirits and snuff their hope. Especially when it comes to Bonney since her ability to use nika like powers is dependent on her believing they are possible, so it literally weakens her to be disillusioned. Also, the Gorosei aren’t able to teleport anywhere they want, they must be summoned. Saturn was taken to egghead, and then summoned the other 4 to his location.
Literally no one summoned Saturn. He teleported to egghead or did you forget that? And it makes no sense at all that the Sun God and a Yonko is laying next to Saturn and everyone only cares about some 12 year old girl. You have a 100 marines pointing their guns at Bonney and literally no one cares about "the greatest threat to the world government".

Clearly he is able to teleport a short distance or to someplace he can see on his own, but in order to appear in some far away place the summoning is necessary. Why is a "genius" scientist like Vegadumb able to craft highly advanced weapons like the Seraphim, which dont make any sense to begin with, but not able to create a super tough armor for his incredibly weak body, huh?

About the Bonney thing: Oda (2021): Watsuki-sensei is an amazing person. The relationship between him and me is like comrades rather than just master and apprentice. I worked under him for 4 months. Maybe it was the happiest moment in my entire life. 🥰 "Watsuki-Sensei" is the mangaka of Kenshin and was convicted for owning child-cornography in 2018 and let go after paying 200.000 Yen fine (1.500$). The Age of Bonney is absolutely lame considering she barely plays a role. I initially thought she was over 100 years old and possibly an important character who posed as someone. The idea that she was the forbidden child of a World Noble and from woman who loved Kuma would never have occurred to me in my dreams. She could also be the real Big Mom and maybe the clone would be the Big Mom who fell into Vulcano in Wano.

It was such a piece of tease/stalling, one of the worst arcs. Chapter 1125 FINALLY had a couple pages that made me go "Ohhh". It's like it refuses to move forward, it still tries to redevelop characters and plotlines we the audience have already figured out at this late stage just to eat pages. Oh yeah, I quit the anime after Wano, the animation just turned to mostly garbage. I get why, cost saving. The anime suffered. Wano was peak animation for OP
The problem with Luffy's devil fruit is why it only shows up so late with the toon powers. Either the devil fruit was in a time vortex or it was transported from place to place and this changed the structure of the devil fruit so that it would hardly be recognizable.

@@subject122 What you're saying is a completely good point, you notice internally that Luffy constantly gave Nicknames to his opponents or acquaintances throughout the series. He has a habit of calling people he doesn't particularly like by a certain nicknames like Mingo as Donquixote Doflamingo or Ulti as Headbutt. He could call Stussy a vampire girl or a demon girl. Oda said that is just a fun gag that he does this to people who aren't particularly close to him, if i remember this correctly. The problem with Gloriosa is that she is relevant now, why did Oda show her in Rock Pirates with Stussy.

I think its great that someone who doesnt like something can talk about it. These things you said in the video may be real (I dont really care that much myself to analyze that much tough, so I will leave it there), but for me thats not really a big deal. Most of the things you said I havent even noticed myself. I know for some people these thing are problem. For me plotholes are just thing that exists like in propably every show that I have watched, there are things that may not make sence. Yeah there are propably lots of things in Egghead and also One Piece in general that doesnt make sence. For me its not that big deal because I dont pay atention to these detayls that much. I totally understand that some people dont like Egghead but for me its peak. I love its so much and I think its the best thing I have ever read (yeah I am one of thouse Egghead fanboys who hype it all the time), but nothing is perfect and same goes for Egghead arc, but still I just love it. I didn't understand the point of Lucci either, what he was doing here. Shouldn't he be in Wano fighting with Nika. Stussy defeated Kaku by drinking a giraffe's juice at Big Mom's party and that was the foreshadowing. It came as a surprise to Lucci because he never knew about Stussy's intentions. He should have chosen someone else and Stussy would have preferred to play a role in Wano. Don't forget they sacrificed agents in Wano. I think it should have been Lucci fighting Luffy and Stussy getting involved and deceive on Lucci because of Luffy. Luffy, who doesn't understand, recognizes her from Big Mom's party.

i like and respect your criticism on the arc so far and some of them are definitely valid, but i also think it's smart to remember that a lot of these questions you have are simply not answered yet. Additionally, i think it's kinda odd that you didn't like G5 Luffy, i think Nika was foreshadowed back in Skypiea too. Again i don't disagree with 90% of your takes in this video, but i also think 90% of those takes will be talked about at some point in the story. There's only so much someone can put into 21 pages
nika wasn't foreshadowed, it was retconned the only mention of the sun god before it basically was about to be revealed in the story, was the single instance referring to the snake, where it was being referred to as the god of the various elements. oda showing a random silhouette and then saying the dance around the campfire is his favorite scene from one piece, doesn't equate to foreshadowing lol foreshadowing is a trail of carefully chosen breadcrumbs that always make sense on the build up to the reveal, none of the nika crap makes sense unless you retroactively look at it in hindsight with the knowledge of nika's existence, hence the term retroactive continuity or retcon for short this is how oda writes 90% of one piece, he adds a bunch of random elements into his story and leaves it all vague enough to where it could possibly be relevant in the future, and then when he wants to expand on an idea, he fleshes it out and because he made it so vague originally, it doesn't create a plothole (usually) because we lacked sufficient knowledge as a reader to determine that

i just watched the movie, the son of the mask, and i remembered luffy right away, same goofiness, same cartoonishness, as if oda is coppying the mask in gear 5. And gear third as well was in that movie.

The fact that no one is talking about Egghead as a bad arc is insane. Yeah really good arc. Luffy can't defeat Kizaru, becomes a crippled old man who has to find food to recover and 15 chapters later the same guy who was unable to win a fight against Kizaru just molds both Kizaru and Saturn into pizza. Oda confirms that Gorosei are stronger than admirals, then two giants that got DESTROYED by Mr 3 pre-timeskip can now easily cut down two of the admiral level threats. Saturn promised that he will snuff out Luffy since Nika is the biggest threat to him, he has a chance to kill Luffy and he just orders random marines to cuff Luffy so he can waste time chatting with Bonney and Vegapunk. Saturn the same guy who said that Luffy has to be killed because Nika is the nr 1 threat to the world government turning Wano, literally the last arc now wants Luffy cuffed. Very consistent and smart writing.

You're right it makes complete sense that giants worship a God made out of rubber yet never mention a rubber God to Luffy and then they know Luffy looks like their God but Kuma made it clear that no one knows what the God looks like and it also makes sense that the gorosei are scared of Nika yet they never went after Luffy once in 1000 chapters for having the devil fruit yet the devil fruit was so important for them that Whos Who was given a life sentence for losing the Nika df and it also makes sense that Saturn promised to "snuff out" Luffy when Nika awakened yet when Luffy was laying right next to Saturn barely able to move instead of killing Luffy he wasted time emotionally torturing Bonney, giving Luffy more than enough time to recover and find food. A big issue I have here is the fact that not everything needs an answer when it comes to a story. As someone who’s been studying writing in his free time for years, I sense a lack of understanding or regard for certain points in the video and comment section. Not everything in a story needs explanation, this can lead to more intrigue and mystery. Remember this is a story being told not documentation of events. The whole stussy thing makes sense tho but for all we know it could have a payoff. One piece has historically kept things a mystery to lead to a big payoff later. For all we know there could be an explanation, it may just not be the point rn considering how much is going on. When it comes to gear 5 I think ppl completely miss the point and use “bad writing” as an excuse. Something being busted or too powerful isn’t necessarily bad writing, if it’s a constant excuse for most obstacles I can see a point there but so far I haven’t seen that, infact luffy has been shown to not be some unstoppable force. He struggles and works around his issues be it in goofy ways or not. I don’t see much of a difference from before with how these things are structured or done, all I suspect is that certain ppl can’t be seen liking something that seems childish or goofy instead of cool and masculine, ppls pride are at stake. It could also just be childishness and or the refusal to understand. Look I’m not saying one piece is some perfect writing no issues but things have nuance and personally one piece has a shit ton of it, some ppl don’t see it and that’s okay. Writing is up to interpretation and I respect that.
As someone who understands writing you should understand that Egghead arc is a broken and a retconned mess filled with massive amounts of plotholes. The only other time i have seen writing this bad and inconsistent was turning Game Of Thrones season 8.

Egghead and Wano has been a complete disaster. To compare these two arcs to actual best arcs like Marineford, Water 7/Enies Lobby, Alabasta, Skypeia, Arlong Park is just ridiculous. Wano and Egghead don't even come close to being on the same level as any of those arcs and Egghead is just an empty shell of what used to be an amazing series called One Piece. It is shameful to even call this trash as One Piece.

One Piece anime is the worst anime (not even joking) I have ever seen. I had to fast forward 80-90% of the series in order to watch it, otherwise it is unbearable for someone with good anime taste. One Piece has been carried all along by teenagers and braindead fans.

You see zero problems with Dorry & Broggy getting defeated by Mr. 3, but then holding their own against the combined might of the powered-up Gorosei a couple years later? I would have been pretty confused & disappointed if Naruto’s first sensei, the Chunin Iruka, somehow and for some reason held his own against half of the Akatsuki.

Not mentioning Nika is definitely a plot hole. Kuma was Nika's biggest D rider, and he must've spilled the beans about Nika's rubber abilities and freeing kingdoms. Kizaru bumped into Luffy twice, so not questioning if Luffy could be the one Kuma talked about doesn't add up. That could've been epic foreshadowing. But Oda didn't plan Nika earlier, he just made the transformation fit with established themes in the story. It's the ultimate retcon, but y'all still gobble it up lmao.

Dory and groggy not being able to use khaki to neutralize mr 3s power makes sense for 1 reason. We have only seen haki neutralize a df ability once and it was on a non physical ability. I dont think haki neutralizing fruits would just make the wax not hard, it's still wax. So that point doesnt make any sense. Nika has never been a pothole because there are clear signs it's been planned AT LEAST as far back as Fishman island, and there is enough foreshadowing before that to make a case for even earlier. Also although you ended up doing so anyway, not responding to half of what I say because you "cant be bothered" just sounds like an excuse for not giving a response to valid points
Some people appreciate good writing more than others. You can't deny there have been some butt pulls and retcons and that is what lazy writers do. I like One Piece but Luffy having Joyboys devil fruit may be the worse retcon in the series. No good explanation for why the world government didn't snuff out the strawhats when Luffy got his first bounty in East Blue.

Reminder that i'm Just one guy reading this manga and i found all these issues. The fact is that there is a lot of issues in this one arc that i most likely missed and the fact that no One Piece "reviewers" have talked about any of these issues is shameful.
As an example i remember Tekking101 tearing Bleach apart because he said that the true Zangetsu reveal was a retcon but when Gomu Gomu No Mi was retconned into Nika he jumped from joy cheering and yelling and this is the case with 99% of OP reviewers.

Its not inconsistent at all for Saturn to disparage Nika to those who believe in him. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t believe in his existence, but its meant to crush their spirits and snuff their hope. Especially when it comes to Bonney since her ability to use nika like powers is dependent on her believing they are possible, so it literally weakens her to be disillusioned.
Also, the Gorosei aren’t able to teleport anywhere they want, they must be summoned. Saturn was taken to egghead, and then summoned the other 4 to his location.
Literally no one summoned Saturn. He teleported to egghead or did you forget that? And it makes no sense at all that the Sun God and a Yonko is laying next to Saturn and everyone only cares about some 12 year old girl. You have a 100 marines pointing their guns at Bonney and literally no one cares about "the greatest threat to the world government".

The Age of Bonney is absolutely lame considering she barely plays a role. I initially thought she was over 100 years old and possibly an important character who posed as someone. I mean, so far it does feel a tad rushed. A LOT of long theorized stuff is dropped on us in this saga and it just feels like Oda looked up the craziest shit that could be confirmed and started drawing it immediately. And yes the new world was like this too, but this hits different because Oda specifically said after the Wano arc that _this saga_ and onward was the final stretch! From here on out this is _the real One Piece manga!_ and I'm worried he'll write himself into a corner and find difficulty writing all these variables to give a satisfying conclusion, even with a team.

It was such a piece of tease/stalling, one of the worst arcs. Chapter 1125 FINALLY had a couple pages that made me go "Ohhh". It's like it refuses to move forward, it still tries to redevelop characters and plotlines we the audience have already figured out at this late stage just to eat pages. Oh yeah, I quit the anime after Wano, the animation just turned to mostly garbage. I get why, cost saving. The anime suffered. Wano was peak animation for OP
The problem with Luffy's devil fruit is why it only shows up so late with the toon powers. Either the devil fruit was in a time vortex or it was transported from place to place and this changed the structure of the devil fruit so that it would hardly be recognizable.

He has a habit of calling people he doesn't particularly like by a certain nicknames like Mingo as Donquixote Doflamingo or Ulti as Headbutt. He could call Stussy a vampire girl or a demon girl. Oda said that is just a fun gag that he does this to people who aren't particularly close to him, if i remember this correctly. The problem with Gloriosa is that she is relevant now, why did Oda show her in Rock Pirates with Stussy.

I think its great that someone who doesnt like something can talk about it. These things you said in the video may be real (I dont really care that much myself to analyze that much tough, so I will leave it there), but for me thats not really a big deal. For me plotholes are just thing that exists like in propably every show that I have watched, there are things that may not make sence. Stussy defeated Kaku by drinking a giraffe's juice at Big Mom's party and that was the foreshadowing. It came as a surprise to Lucci because he never knew about Stussy's intentions. He should have chosen someone else and Stussy would have preferred to play a role in Wano. Don't forget they sacrificed agents in Wano. I think it should have been Lucci fighting Luffy and Stussy getting involved and deceive on Lucci because of Luffy. Luffy, who doesn't understand, recognizes her from Big Mom's party.

the only mention of the sun god before it basically was about to be revealed in the story, was the single instance referring to the snake, where it was being referred to as the god of the various elements. oda showing a random silhouette and then saying the dance around the campfire is his favorite scene from one piece, doesn't equate to foreshadowing lol
foreshadowing is a trail of carefully chosen breadcrumbs that always make sense on the build up to the reveal, none of the nika crap makes sense unless you retroactively look at it in hindsight with the knowledge of nika's existence, hence the term retroactive continuity or retcon for short
this is how oda writes 90% of one piece, he adds a bunch of random elements into his story and leaves it all vague enough to where it could possibly be relevant in the future, and then when he wants to expand on an idea, he fleshes it out and because he made it so vague originally, it doesn't create a plothole (usually) because we lacked sufficient knowledge as a reader to determine that

Oda confirms that Gorosei are stronger than admirals, then two giants that got DESTROYED by Mr 3 pre-timeskip can now easily cut down two of the admiral level threats. Saturn promised that he will snuff out Luffy since Nika is the biggest threat to him, he has a chance to kill Luffy and he just orders random marines to cuff Luffy so he can waste time chatting with Bonney and Vegapunk. Saturn the same guy who said that Luffy has to be killed because Nika is the nr 1 threat to the world government turning Wano, literally the last arc now wants Luffy cuffed. Very consistent and smart writing.

You're right it makes complete sense that giants worship a God made out of rubber yet never mention a rubber God to Luffy and then they know Luffy looks like their God but Kuma made it clear that no one knows what the God looks like and it also makes sense that the gorosei are scared of Nika yet they never went after Luffy once in 1000 chapters for having the devil fruit yet the devil fruit was so important for them that Whos Who was given a life sentence for losing the Nika df and it also makes sense that Saturn promised to "snuff out" Luffy when Nika awakened yet when Luffy was laying right next to Saturn barely able to move instead of killing Luffy he wasted time emotionally torturing Bonney, giving Luffy more than enough time to recover and find food. It also makes sense that so many characters knew about Nika but not once in 1017 chapters of the story was Nika ever mentioned. A big issue I have here is the fact that not everything needs an answer when it comes to a story. As someone who’s been studying writing in his free time for years, I sense a lack of understanding or regard for certain points in the video and comment section. Not everything in a story needs explanation, this can lead to more intrigue and mystery. Remember this is a story being told not documentation of events. The whole stussy thing makes sense tho but for all we know it could have a payoff. One piece has historically kept things a mystery to lead to a big payoff later. For all we know there could be an explanation, it may just not be the point rn considering how much is going on. When it comes to gear 5 I think ppl completely miss the point and use “bad writing” as an excuse. Something being busted or too powerful isn’t necessarily bad writing, if it’s a constant excuse for most obstacles I can see a point there but so far I haven’t seen that, infact luffy has been shown to not be some unstoppable force. He struggles and works around his issues be it in goofy ways or not. I don’t see much of a difference from before with how these things are structured or done, all I suspect is that certain ppl can’t be seen liking something that seems childish or goofy instead of cool and masculine, ppls pride are at stake. It could also just be childishness and or the refusal to understand. Look I’m not saying one piece is some perfect writing no issues but things have nuance and personally one piece has a shit ton of it, some ppl don’t see it and that’s okay. Writing is up to interpretation and I respect that.
As someone who understands writing you should understand that Egghead arc is a broken and a retconned mess filled with massive amounts of plotholes. The only other time i have seen writing this bad and inconsistent was turning Game Of Thrones season 8.

You see zero problems with Dorry & Broggy getting defeated by Mr. 3, but then holding their own against the combined might of the powered-up Gorosei a couple years later?
I would have been pretty confused & disappointed if Naruto’s first sensei, the Chunin Iruka, somehow and for some reason held his own against half of the Akatsuki.
@@mitloppas3559 probably a retcon but mr 3 did suprise attack them while they were battling if I remember correctly and mr 3 isn’t fodder he’s not a super fighter but he’s got a great df if you use it well and that’s what he does to win the giant are not fodder either but they’re strong because they’re giants obviously that’s why luffy had to make gear 3 so he could reach that power so I’d say dory and brogy have at least gear 3 power wise so two of them using their power in tandem would x2 right so hitting the Gorosei is that big a deal and it’s not like they did any significant damage either a 2 giants cutting a giant worm is not special I dbe more impressed if the cut a normal sized worm and two giant pushing a giant pig isn’t special either just because it’s a Gorosei doesn’t mean they can just run through 2 giants like it’s nothing but maybe he could do that to 1 giant. I do think bug mom or kaido could hold the pig back on their own though.
I have no problem with mr.3 defeating giants and later giants cutting down goroseis.

Not mentioning Nika is definitely a plot hole. Kuma was Nika's biggest D rider, and he must've spilled the beans about Nika's rubber abilities and freeing kingdoms. Kizaru bumped into Luffy twice, so not questioning if Luffy could be the one Kuma talked about doesn't add up. That could've been epic foreshadowing. But Oda didn't plan Nika earlier, he just made the transformation fit with established themes in the story. It's the ultimate retcon, but y'all still gobble it up lmao.

Dory and groggy not being able to use khaki to neutralize mr 3s power makes sense for 1 reason. We have only seen haki neutralize a df ability once and it was on a non physical ability. I dont think haki neutralizing fruits would just make the wax not hard, it's still wax. So that point doesnt make any sense.
Nika has never been a pothole because there are clear signs it's been planned AT LEAST as far back as Fishman island, and there is enough foreshadowing before that to make a case for even earlier.

I like One Piece but Luffy having Joyboys devil fruit may be the worse retcon in the series. No good explanation for why the world government didn't snuff out the strawhats when Luffy got his first bounty in East Blue.
