She should have stayed at Louisville and help them get further in this 2024 NCAA Tournament. Her WNBA draft status would have remained high with Louisville.

I don't think her draft stock was that high. That's why she transferred to LSU to learn to play point guard.

Absolutely. She wasted a complete year. For whatever reason, she wasn’t the same player she was at Louisville. No big time program will probably want her unless they can figure out what happened at LSU. It’s really shocking that Mulkey was a PG and unable to get a better performance out of her. She played like the stage was too big for her. But, she shouldn’t be down on herself for not being able to contain Clark because nobody can really guard her one-on-one. Mulkey didn’t have a good game plan. Clark’s going to get her’s so you have to contain her teammates which they didn’t. It’s going to be interesting to see how UCONN plays them.

There was something that happened between her and Jeff Walz. You could see the tension in her from about 2/3 the way through the previous season, Watch when he goes to give her a hug. She tenses up every time. Her going to LSU was an obvious mistake. But I believe she felt that she had to go somewhere else than Louisville. If they didn't already have a million guards and no available scholarships, I'd say UConn. If for no other reason, she needs to regain her joy. And all the UConn players appear to really enjoy being around each other not just on the court, but off the court as well. Where ever she goes from here is now more than a basketball decision. I believe she needs to make a life decision that she can live with one year, five years, 10 years down the road.

@@buzzard6410 Very good comment. Following her junior season at Louisville, Van Lith entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer. ESPN rated her as the top transfer in the nation. I suppose she has one year left of college eligibility. Wherever she goes, I wish her well. She seems like a very nice person. She'll find a top program to play for.

As far as the Iowa game that's on Kim Mulkey...
She should have had a longer defender on Caitlin Clark...
She was giving up about 6 inches to arguably the best scorer ever in womens basketball....

I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American and male. So, while Wenatchee/Cashmere, Washington is a good 125 miles from Seattle, we know her up here. We all hear how Caitlin Clark will face racial hatred in the WNBA. How much of the unwelcomeness to Hailey by her LSU teammates, racially charged? Like Caitlin Clark, Hailey is good, White, pretty, clean cut, and I'm pretty sure Hailey is heterosexual. Oh, my ex-wife (wonderful woman, we just grew apart) is Black/Cherokee/White, and our daughter turns 11 in 2024, so I'm not hateful. My daughter gets racially taunted, as she's growing up in Bellevue, Washington (upscale suburb of Seattle), but that's a different story.

Haley wad a little ill during the last game against lowa. She could have been on steroids and Caitlin would have still dropped 40. Coach Mulkey should have started with Fla'jae on Caitlin. Then change if Fla'jae got into foul trouble. You have to play Caitlin tight and force her to go left. When she shoots the long distance shots she pushes off with the left hand. She does it all the time. Her passes are usually good if she is able to see the entire court. You can steal the ball from her if you look close on her dribble.one thing about the ladies game is they give up the baseline all the time. Anyone can drive when that happens. Hayley must really work on her outside shot. She was really exposed as a point guard. She also is not that quick. She does have her undergrad degree and completed one year of her masters. She is not going to be a WNBA high draft pick this year or next. Well, to the transfer portal. She'll do ok. Good luck and God bless.❤❤

Should have went to USC to play the Pao Pao role but didn’t give Dawn a chance. Better overall guard talent and she would not have had as much pressure to perform. Also Kim was a pg to and won at La Tech. As a player should couldn’t hold a candle to Dawn. Truth be told their championship totals should be switched but Dawn didn’t have her team ready against Iowa last season. Hopefully HVL lands somewhere good.

Hailey clearly has a lot of raw skills. She’ll destroy most players in a one on one pickup game. She needs to work on developing a playing style that contributes well to team success and she’ll really have something. I’m actually rooting for her because I really like her raw skills on the court.

The problem with one transfer, let alone two, is that a player who does that is far less likely to graduate and is probably not a serious college student. The transfer portal needs to go back to what it was, with a player missing a year of competition after transferring. That forced players to think seriously before attempting to transfer, and certainly never allowed players to sign on to one school never intending to play more than a year or two at that original school before transferring somewhere else.

I think LSU just didn’t use Halle correctly and you know what that’s up that’s Haley‘s fault. She chose to go to that school. I don’t know why she would’ve chose to go to that school and think that she would be use correctly because that team is very tightknit. They’re not gonna and they’re not very excepting of new people plus Kim Mulkey is a very hard nose coach. Who is my Way or the Highway that’s why Haley had to change her game to fit in lsu I also think the whole like calling an Angel Reese‘s team and everyone saying how Angel Reese is the most talented on the team which is wrong because I think there’s a couple people more talented than her Flau’jae I think if anyone is her team because she’s the most talented on the team by far but she’s not used enough correctly and then Haley talent wise but she’s not use well at all.
I think Haley would’ve been used much better at Iowa and right now should be going for the championship and I was coach. Lisa Bluder is much better at working with players to get them better and leading players do what they do and then she’s a big reason why Kaitlyn Clark is the way she is because most coaches would’ve flipped out if their player was trying to take threes that far away in the beginning and probably stopped. I think Haley is smart to get out of LSU especially because it didn’t ever look like she got along with the team. She always seem to look like I don’t know if it’s because she was brought in on the portal. She always look like she was on the outside looking in.

I think HVL transferred to LSU because she thought LSU would repeat a championship. She went for a potential ring instead of staying put at Louisville. It would be interesting to see where she lands for her final college year.
