Her reaction time is close to zero, she sees a situation and fires that ball the instance the situation happens, about 0.1 seconds or less. No way to defend against that, happens too fast. 2 points.
The TV ratings are up, attendance is up. The women game never had a player as exciting to watch as this girl. There's no one in the league that can pass like that. She'll eventually find her shot and the scoring threat will come back. Generational talent.
Caitlin Clark is the best thing to happen to basketball in a long time. Not just the WBA, but the NBA, too. People will fight for tickets to see her play.
@@Chainyanker007 without the NBA they have no venues. Imagine a WNBA team trying to to into a city where there's no NBA team, or no college arena already. No one is going to build an arena just for a WNBA team, not even for Cait.

The shifting geometry of the court is her plaything. When she had the ball, I immediately looked at the basket, and anyone close to it or approaching it, to try to see what she was seeing. Caught a few, but a lot were like, where did that come from?
It actually feels like a privilege to watch CC, especially as she transitioned from college to the pros. If she stays healthy and strong, she will be a force to be reckoned with for many years and keep finding ways to dazzle the world with her skills.
The pass to Katie Lou at :30 is an epic sport play at any level any sport. Fewer than a half dozen all time BB stars like a Larry Bird can make that work. Facts.
Good call. It's like watching a Maravich hi-lite reel. And she puts the ball right where they can do the most with it. They don't have to adjust ,just, pop it in the basket.
Yes. She is so fast in her movements. Ultra coordinated, ultra strong (although she looks like you could push her over with a feather), with a very quick and focussed eye that is able to take in the whole scene and find the potential open connection by instinctively calculating the distance/speed ratios of her teammates movements, perfectly and immediately without needing to think about it. She also gives the eyes in the back of her head effect with her passing behind. She is the woman version of Magic Johnson in her passing. Even better. So amazing, mesmerizing to watch. It is a nice distraction from all the problems going on in the world.
I've made this remark before, but as a San Antonio native, I have followed the Spurs for decades, and when I see CC make these Tom Brady passes, I'm reminded of one of our heroes - Manu Ginobili. His drive, speed, aggressiveness, and ability to "see" the floor are unsurpassed (IMO) in the NBA, past, present, or future. And, CC has all those same attributes. She is totally awesome, and honestly, it brings tears to my eyes to watch her perfection in action!!!!
Clark is an extraordinary passer, shooter and is also excellent at stealing the ball. But you also have to give some credit to the ball handling of the people on the receiving end of those passes. They have extremely soft/strong hands and dynamite reflexes as those passes come at all angles and speeds. Practice practice practice!
These passes open up because the defense MUST play Clark, and often MUST double-team her, to prevent her from scorching them with her own baskets. They'd rather take the chance of Clark's teammates missing, or of fumbling her pass. Better odds.
After watching many games of Caitlin Clark during college and the WNBA...the question that comes in my mind again is why she was not included in the womens olympic basketball team. Let me guess?.. ignoramus selection committees 😮😊😂
Imo sports organizations never want a player to become bigger than the org, and only will actively promote them if they have the right politics, CC seems to be bigger than the org with the wrong politics lol
Dawn Staley, a member of the selection committee, revealed in an interview in Paris this past weekend that CC would have been “highly considered” for a spot on the Olympic ‘24 b-ball team after the committee saw how she played in the WNBA. Timing, I guess, was not in the cards. But, as someone here said, she’s looking forward to getting a month break before b-ball resumes 😊
Her teammates on the Fever are finally learning to keep their eyes up in anticipation of a great pass. When Worthy was a rookie with the Lakers he got bonked in the head a few times with passes from Magic. He learned.
Remember the NBA 2000s? Those players inspired by MJ. 2010s players inspired by Kobe. 2020s players inspired by Steph. All I'm saying..a decade from now the WNBA is gonna be even more fun to watch than it is now
she's not only hitting the right player in the flow, sudden, without telegraphing, with perfect timing...also puts the ball right where they need it, regardless of whether she's going behind the back, threading it through a tiny window, throwing the long over the shoulder...a lot of beautiful basketball going on here!
I never watch basketball until now. Caitlin is great team player as I have said before. To all her jealous opponents just watch and learn. She lets her talent do the talking
That one at 5:39 looked like playing hot potato with a basketball. Three passes in two seconds. Teams have to pick their poison. Leave her one-on-one and she'll burn you with points, double-team her and she'll immediately find the person you left open and burn you with assists.
I don't even like basketball. She makes me want to see more. Her scoring game and three point shots are great, but her passing is so on point. The hate she is getting, and the olympic snub... People are trying to shut her down before she even gets a chance. But she''s had a taste of that chance now, and she's breaking records. Put some respect on this woman's name.
It's not just that she gets a lot of assists. She leads the league there. She also leads the league in rim assists at 129. Ionescu is 2nd with 70! So Caitlin is dishing out high quality assists that lead to easy finishes at a rate almost twice as often as the next best player in the league.
I’ll Add Clark’s Stats Halfway Through The Season, These Are Amongst (Guards) Only. Points Per Game 7th, Assists 1st, Rebounds 1st, Blocks 1st, Steals 5th, 3 Pointers Made 5th and Turnovers 1st.

That’s right folks. It’s a game nobody’s building building buildings repairing roads or dams. Nobody’s saving lives. Not even flipping hamburgers is just a game. So sportsmanship should be the most important part of the game. I think Clark is trying, I hope she succeeds and I hope she continually shows up these other individuals as the bullies they are
I just love when CC feeds Boston. It's ABCC's. Alyia gets the ball and suddenly moves between, around, and sometimes over the defense with the grace of a ballerina, but as a huge and unstoppable force. But it's also great when CC gets surrounded and blocked out on a layup, and she kicks it out TO ALYIA. And Alyia shoots the longer shot and she just drains it, and she gives the defense a look which says, "I can shoot too, you silly girls." lol. I predict that Boston's stats will in general go way up as CC draws defenses to her. Because you can just see the joy that CC has when the defense says, "Where did that big girl come from?"
She is like an NFL quarterback. She feints defenders out of position to open up passing lanes. The over the shoulder bombs to players in stride.. Pretty damn scary.
One key to Clark's success is her relentless scanning of the court ahead of her. Watch her. She's always looking for the best way to the basket, either for one of her teammates or herself.
I love watching her assists. I think sometimes she’s on a drive to the basket and she could make it, but she chooses to send it to someone else, who also does.
When she rushes in, there are taller player blocking her, so better thing to do is to pass. That is a standard procedure. It is a higher percentage shot, an open one.
