KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI... though is just one of those rare films that's aged well (despite 90s cheesefest), also has the ability to entertain and enthral "foreign" audiences, even to this day.. that's why I recommend it highly to anyone new to Bollywood.
AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL - this one was somewhat dismissed by larger Indian audiences but is a huge ass cult favourite of millennials (especially in the West) for it's super modern take on relationships.. it's a game-changer in many ways, plus it's set in London and the CINEMATOGRAPHY and MUSIC and PERFORMANCES are TOP-NOTCH (not to mention Ranbir Kapoor plays a troubled singer/musician in the film, and these guys would appreciate that a lot)

@@MaheshSharma-kq3bl Nope, KANK was a TANK for a reason, a disastrous execution of an interesting subject. Even K-JO said he wants to remake this film because he gave-in to "sanitizing" the infidelity and the film didn't deliver it's potential. I agree with him.
MNIK I enjoyed at the time, but it's aged so so so so badly. Today's audience can't relate. It's actually another example of excellent concept but wayward execution.

You need to check out more of Shaan's songs like Woh Pehli Baar (original version), Chaar Kadam, Behti Hawa Sa Tha Woh, Jabse Tere Naina, etc. He's an outstanding singer with a very unique vocal texture. The guy doesn't need music to sing. He's a legend in his own right. He and Sonu Nigam are contemporaries actually. Also, you should check out the 90s legends like Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik. Trust me, they're a whole different thing

Karan johar is amongst the filmakers who had made classics like DDLJ etc his old stuff with Sharukh khan was pure gold and also those movie tracks were amazing his production house is one of the biggest in the industry everbody wants to be in a dharma production movies cause of the content and hit it was during late 90s and 2000s those films are still loved so much we can rewatchit again even if somethings are dramatic but his one flaw is like he likes to gossip a lot and mostly the bearer of nepotism and now his films are more commercially obssesed and losing relatability but stil some fims are good
