Totally agree! This was the most useful guide I have seen. Thanks for sharing that you can get small rocks from the big ones…Man my sanity wishes I knew that earlier. It took me several in-game days to get my campfire up because I looked for small rocks.😅 and now i know not to be scared of dead animals; theyre a resource not an indication of danger. top tips! also something for a future guide; if you sprint through dry leaves like on banana plants it seems to cause you to scratch up very frequently. hellish game; but very satisfying and rewarding.
I bought this game ages back and I could NOT figure out what I was supposed to do and abandoned it. IDK why it even crossed my mind today, but I decided to check for a beginner's guide and here we are. I found this unbelievably useful!!! I'm actually gonna redownload it and give it another go (and I'm definitely gonna bookmark this video as a reference)!!! Thank you so much for putting something together that provides clear and simple explanations!!!
Hey there Shalarean - I am so glad you found this helpful! GH really doesn't hold your hand and I really struggled myself to begin with, wanted to pay my knowledge forward to others as its such a great game - hope you are finding it better second time round! 🐝
@ I am! I’ve actually managed to build a shelter and some other furniture items too! I almost had my fire for five days but accidentally threw the water into the fire instead of the coconut shell! lol So my success in this game now is all because of how helpful this video was and I’m watching some others of your series and taking some notes! 😁
Dont throw spears at coconuts. Throw rocks by equipping your fist. Steady your aim before you fire your arrows, dont see this tip often and learned it today. Very nice video, thank you for your content.
Great tip, I had heard it before I think but I always forget - thank you so much for sharing it. I have a new GH series on the channel if you are interested
If you are struggling for small stick you can right click on larger sticks to harvest - you will then get smaller sticks, you can also harvest large stones and logs etc.
If it makes you feel better it probably took me close to half an hour trying to figure out how to make a fire in the tutorial, and only figured it out because my friend managed to finally do it and had to tell me how lol. That tutorial was horrible. Really doesn't show you how to do much of anything at all for the actual game play. Hence why I'm here now
The tutorial was waaay too slow.. Gave that up after 10 min.. but learning while playing was even worse.. Feel like it's gonna get fun if i ever to my feet off the ground, so far i've just been poisoned and fevered to death by day 1 - 3 by not walking carefully enough -.- urgh.. Hopefully i do better with this video in the bank, thanks! Had no ideo how to get water, i just kept drinking from the ground and ate the mushrooms that removed parasites after xD
Hey there, sorry for the delay in responding - christmas and all that lol! To get water, grab yourself some coconuts and harvest them, you can use the coconut halves - throw them on the ground to collect rain water, you can drink this. Also craft a green coconut and molinera into a bidon, collect dirty water. Place oconut halves on the fire and pour dirty water in them. You can also find and craft a water filter and water collector.
@@QueenbeePlayer Yeah i got everything from the video :) Im on day 61 now and still addicted, cant believe how low under the radar this game is flying! Its amazing! And thanks for the help!
Haha, nope, but I can imagine - there have been a few comments in the chat about the lack of guidance for controllers - I know my friend plays with a controller fine, but I couldn't imagine playing with a controller - I would feel well out of my depth.
@thirdgen377 I think it was designed to be very limited, so you get the experience of trial and error etc. But I agree that's not for everyone. Hopefully this will help those struggling with the game
This game is stupid, unrealistic, and makes no sense. For one, why would you go into the middle of the jungle to do research and not take any food or equipment with you? You take no medical supplies, no weapons - just the bare minimum into the jungle. Does that make any sense in real life? Nobody would do that, especially a researcher. You don't take any flares or any maps.
There's a twist at the end that explains 🤦 but maybe you're too slow to understand a story can take time to unfold. Especially in an open world survival.
Lol... what would be the point of a survival game, if you already have everything... I'd hate to watch a movie with you... Why did they do that? Why would they do that? Why would they split up?... its a game guy... name one survival game that starts you out with everything you need...

Fast, no nonsense guide. Great! Worms are so rude, then again everything else loves you so much it wants to eat you!

Awesome video, no 5 minute intro, straight to the point : )
thank you 🐝

I bought the game today. I’m so bad I had to look up how to makea campfire. As I couldn’t find small enough small sticks. On the tutorial ….
If you are struggling for small stick you can right click on larger sticks to harvest - you will then get smaller sticks, you can also harvest large stones and logs etc.
Also on the tutorial, had too look up the samething but because I couldn't figure out how to get kinlndling

Couldnt agree more. The “tutorial” felt more like a game demo than an actual tutorial. it was slow and extremely lacking.
Is there a way to see how to craft things or do you just have to guess?
@@colinball30 google 👍
Anyone every try to play this game on PC with a controller? It's like a whole other hell in itself.

wut, how do you carry 2 logs. I can't press or pickup anything anymore on the PC after picking up one long stick or log :(
Came for the guide stayed because the Guns N’ Roses
This has got to be my favourite viewer comment of all times! Hope you enjoyed the tutorial too! :D
A bit like Rain World. Everything wants to kill you.
Tutorial is garbage in the game. Doesnt give you clear enough instruction on crafting.

@@robertjackson2692 if they're going to make video games that are realistic than they need to make it realistic
The tutorial is the intro to the story and it explains all of this.
