Cool demo... I sold my esu cab control throttle as its very old tech and as you say the ecos control on a smart phone is far better.. You can also plug in a L net converter to the ecos for adding more options for hard wire throttles,
I know this is an old video, but I'm curious if you are still using this system. I'm about to buy a new DCC system (starting from scratch) and am highly considering this.
Thanks for posting this. Great to get a better idea of what may or may not be possible to get away with using ESU's command stations. Just out of curiosity, will the ECoS Controller app also work with the CabControl system, or is it strictly for operation with the ECoS?
I have a very large layout and run ESU cab control with three boosters. You can only run one control system at a time ECOS or Cab Control. They both pretty much have the same system in them. Mine is the newest version and it is very fast and doesn't have the lag you talked about. My first one did it was annoying. If you want addition throttles the Cab Control and ECOS can operate Digitrax throttles. I use loconet jacks so when I have operating sessions people can bring their own throttles. They can also use Android phones and log into my Cab Control's Wi-Fi. It's quite a nice system. I've used NCE, have Digitrax for my n scale layout, and Cab Control is my favorite by far. I didn't buy the ECOS because I wanted to be mobile because my layout is so large. Let me know If you have any questions.
I too have the newer Cab Control, and really like it over the Digitrax system I used to use (getting back in hobby now, and decided to give Cab Control a try over DT). I have not had luck to get my DT throttle to work with Cab Control though. I have plugged it into the back of the Cab Control where there is a L.net connection. It does nothing when I plug it in. Are you using the ESU L.Net converter? I was under the impression that L.Net controller is native in the Cab Control?
Jeff Pohl I am using the L net converter. The jack on the cab control is not turned on yet as far as I know. Matt is planning on turning that on at some point. Just plug in the L net converter and your digitrax throttles will be good to go! Let me know how you make out bud!
@@barnesproducts173 I received the unit the other day. It works as advertised... Plug into the Cab Control, and my DT throttle works as if it were plugged into a Digitrax system.
Cab control is far superior to any cell phone to use as a cab/throttle. No doubt, main reason is the actual physical knob. I don't have to look @ the throttle, especially the one you used, just one crappy line... 😆 With all touch devices one wrong swipe or accidental touch and... 😥 Nice video BTW 👍
dude the throttle is not laggy; 2nd no problems here using compt interface, you really need to learn how to use a system to be honest then come back with a video.

You might also to be able to use the engine driver app as well for a different format.

im still using the ecos, I dont use the cab control system at all, cab control system sucks in comparison
Try using the volume keys to adjust the speed steps with your phone

Are you going to do a in depth look and review of the new ESU LokSound V5.0 decoder in the new Scaletrains dash 9
I have one on preorder

@@barnesproducts173 Thanks. I will just go ahead and buy the L.Net converter. They are not outrageous in price.

When do plan on uploading again I love your content.
Ive been working on car and computer stuff lately...there will be more soon
Try ECoS Cab application for Windows, Android and soon for iOS.
question, can you see if you can download the mth dcs wifi app on the cab control remote?
Can you do the rereleased reading t1?
Hi
Could you tell me what size and power batteries the system takes many thanks
My Ecos power supply says 7amps NOT 6. I've got the latest version. I absolutely love my ESU ECoS (and your videos)... 💖

But they are 240 bucks each with terrible battery life. Makes it hard to love
@@RodimusPrime Get a new battery. They had battery problems. Mine last all day no problems now after replacement.
Can you use the mobile control without the ecos ?
Can only be used with ecos or command control systems

Its trash compared to the tcs throttle.
