    MOSFETs are not Microswitches, nor are they necessarily programmable.
    All a MOSFET does is look for a voltage signal on one of its three gates.when it detects that it "closes" the other two gates. Usually those two gates provide 100% power through them.
    Think of it like an electronic version of a mechanical solenoid.
    A microswitch is just a type of switch. If you've ever taken apart a keyboard or a remote and looked at the buttons under the silicon pad, those are microswitches. The traditional airsoft trigger uses a contact bar which bridges two contacts. Without looking at how airsoft companies have implemented the microswitches, it's hard to say it's an improvement in any arena except tactile feel. The problems of arcing causing contact failure still exists and is why MOSFETs were put on trigger units.
    What most airsoft companies call MOSFETs are actually small computers which is why they are programmable. "Back in the day" when MOSFET tech was "new" to airsoft, it was a simple electrical circuit which operated like a solenoid. Eventually the programmable ones with burst, active breaking, etc became a thing.

    This look modern. Didn't know you like AKs so much.
    I got a CYMA AKMS (steel and wood) which also comes with a sling point at the end of the body, not the stock. very pleasant to work with.
    It doesn't come with a night vision rail on the side like yours but I don't plan on adding sights anyways.
    maybe I'm just a brokesofter

    Kinda late on the video but I was looking at this very gun at Evike today (at the $309,95 price tag) and thought "the carbine model looks like an ak 105" then I tried looking for arcturus ak105 review and here I am. Good to know the carbine model really is what I thought it is and now I'm really thinking on getting my hand in one of these :D

      Yeah, initially I titled this video the "Arcturus AK105" and the comment section blew up with people correcting me. Whatever.

    Really late to this video but I was just looking at this AK on patrol base. The DETAIL you go into in these reviews, crazy. Your knowledge on the AK platform is genuinely impressive. I’ve just found your channel but keep up the great work man. I’m glad you’ve stuck with TH-cam!

      Thank you sir. Make sure you watch the second video on this gun. I always try to do two reviews on each gun, the first impressions and the project complete. The second one includes all the little lessons I learned upgrading it.

    Nice gun and a very good review. Problem with insertion of mags in some AK replicas is a real thing (example Cyma AKS-74U). Specificly there is a problem with inserting the front lip of the mag; it can go into two slots in the mag well (it must go into the lower one; that's why it's easy to mess it up).

    Brilliant review, thanks for shedding light on the buffer tube and gear box wiring. Was wondering if I could rewire the thing to but the battery in the stock. Unfortunate

    • @GunfatherMilsim
      @GunfatherMilsim  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am going to revisit this soon to see if I can figure something out but right now it is looking pretty bleak. There just isn't any place I can drill through to make room for the wires. The tolerances are pretty tight between the receiver and the rear of the gearbox shell.

    • @lukeswa.n
      @lukeswa.n 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GunfatherMilsim is the quick change spring the main issue or is it something to do with the real steel spec that the buffer tube is made to as well?

    • @GunfatherMilsim
      @GunfatherMilsim  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lukeswa.n Actually a little bit of both. The quick change spring system for where the wires are going to go and the real steel buffer tube for where the battery is going to go. The first is a bigger challenge than the second.

      @@jarky418 I have heard the Titans are a little big for the Arcturus but I have no personal experience. The ASG 11.1 1000mah stick is the best I have found. On my channel I did a TH-cam short showing the batteries I use in mine.

    Stupid question,
    Is it possible to put a rail underneath it for a foregrip? Or do you have to figure it out yourself?

    Hello, does anyone know if this is normal. I just bought Arcturus AT-AK01 it has electric trigger "microswitch" and it feels so hard to pull the trigger (on semi it's impossible to spamm because you can't press it fast, like it doesn't allow you to do something like that, also with small finger it takes a lot of force to pull it). Everytime you release the trigger you hear like a "click"
    Also mine looks different from other Arcturus ak-at01, flash hider, grip, buttstock. Like its a new series. I bought it on Taiwangun

  • @vondorylaeum4784
    @vondorylaeum4784 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey, I'd really appreciate if you could provide an answer. I recently purchased an Arcturus AK01 and I want to convert it, as closely as possible, to an Alpha AK. So I am looking at the front rail and upper top cover. I already know I can change the AK 01 top cover with AK 04 but do you happen to know if a Cyma X47 (C04-AK) rail would fit on this?

    • @GunfatherMilsim
      @GunfatherMilsim  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have no idea. Anytime you start mixing and matching rails on AKs you are probably gonna have to do some grinding. A good Dremel is your best friend. Good luck!

    How its hold up after 3 years? Is it durable as e&l aks against dropping? And ı read somewhere that their ünner barrel can be rust. Did yours inner barrel rust?

    • @GunfatherMilsim
      @GunfatherMilsim  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's still in great shape but honestly, I haven't used it in about a year. I replaced the barrel so I don't have any input on the stock barrel. It is definitely on the upper end of durability as far as airsoft guns are concerned.

    • @GunfatherMilsim
      @GunfatherMilsim  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's effective range is about 175 feet. You can get lucky out to about 200 feet. This is typical of a mid to high end AEG. Range is more of a component of your hop up system which is easily upgraded. I found It's stock performance to be very good and competitive.
