I have three buckets with potatoes planted in them. I’m waiting a while before I pull them out. I bet yours will taste wonderful.
It's been a frustrating crop for me. I should have planted them 4 to 6 weeks earlier. They'd probably be better if I had. Do you grow them every year?
My Sister-in-law is Donna Bailey, too! 😂
I always wait about 90 days before harvest. I also plant 4 potatoes two on one level add dirt ad two more seed potatoes. I also mix in blood meal and bone meal at both levels. I use 15 gal. pot and 15 gal. grow bags.
I definitely should have waited 90 days. I think the use of the shade cloth under our Florida sun was a real good idea though. They really perked up immensely when I got moved over there. Next time I grow them and definitely marking 90 days on my calendar!
2 years ago was the last time I grew them and it was very disorganized because we were moving into our new house. I really don't know how long those things grew that year. Before that was a complete experiment and I have no results because we lived in an apartment. I did use blood and bone meal this year. I'm wondering if I used enough. Fortunately, I have a video of that so I can figure it out. Thanks for watching!
