Very very good video, straight to the point and everything explained in the best way, I’m returning to cricket and this is the perfect video, thank you
Hi Buzz. I just wanted to say thanks for these at home tutorials. It has been invaluable to our junior section at Mottram Cricket Club. We are a club just 10 miles east of manchester and you’d be welcome here if you are ever in the area so we can buy you a cider to say thanks. As a Devonian exiled up here it’s great to know the kids will be learning from a West Country lad on line. Cheers.
Love your videos, they seem to make everything seem so much more logical. You explain what to do but more importantly why to do it. I'm a 36 year old proper village cricketer but I'm always looking to improve my game. Can't wait to see some new vids.
Hlw sir, when I face some good fast bowlers I can't judge the length early....I look the ball from bowlers hand to the pitching area but after it pitched I can't follow the ball...I hit the ball without seeing it under my head... please tell me sir how can I judge the length early from bowlers releasing point..... please reply sir
One of the best drills you can do is "watch & leave" the idea is that you focus closer on the ball than the idea of playing a shot. For a set time don't look to play a stroke whilst training. Simply watch the ball and imagine the stroke you would play whilst leaving it (if the ball is straight then defend) the advancement is to place colours on the side of the wicket with cones to identify the different lengths. You can then say the colour before the ball pitches to test improvements.
One of the best and most easy to understand cricket coaching videos on TH-cam
