This video is about a live demonstration of the De-waxing section from our most recent installation of a refinery plant.
DEWAXING is the Process of removing waxes dissolved in the oil. It is not a mandatory procedure, and it is not required for all types of oils as most of oil contain little or no waxes. Only sunflower oil & Rice Bran oil contain appreciable quantities of wax.
The process of dewaxing is also known as WINTERISATION. The term "WINTERIZATION" refers to the process by which waxes in oil crystallise during the winter, giving the oil a hazy appearance.
